Last week at PAX East, the folks at Gearbox teased everyone that Borderlands 3 was in fact a reality and that today, 4/20/2019, we would get more details. Not only did fans get the official launch trailer, but also, Gearbox gave everyone a synopsis of the story, a breakdown of the versions that will be offered, and more importantly, the release date. Fans only have to wait just over 5 months for the game to be a reality. Unfortunately for PC fans, the war of the online stores is continuing. It was announced that Borderlands 3 will only be available through the Epic Game Store for the first 6 months it is out for the PC. In an effort to wet everyone’s appetite, Gearbox released Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition Enhanced on PC, XBOX, and PS4. Let’s breakdown the versions and the cost for each:
Standard Edition - $59.99 USD
It is the base game with nothing additional included with it. Preorders of the game will include a Gold Weapons Skin pack and a weapon trinket.
Deluxe Edition - $79.99 USD
Includes Retro Cosmetic Pack, Neon Cosmetic Pack, Gearbox Cosmetic Pack, Toy Box Weapon Pack, and XP & Loot Drop Boost Mods.
Super Deluxe Edition - $99.99
Everything in the Deluxe Edition plus: Butt Stallion weapon skin, weapon trinket, and grenade mod, as well as the Season Pass which will include all 4 campaign DLCs
Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition - $249.99
Everything in the Super Deluxe plus: Diamond Loot Chest Replica with retractable lid, 10 Character Figurines(4 new hunters, Calypso twins, as well as some favorites from the Borderlands universe), Sanctuary 3 Snap Model Ship, 4 Vault Key Keychains, Cloth Galaxy Map, 5 lithographs, and the game in a steelbook case.
