This is like, you know, the cutting edge technology and when the technology is starting to like
[00:03:01] plateau a little bit, starting to like, starting to remember like the first year we met like bags of stuff Yeah, there was there was just they just handed you stuff like all promotional sword and the schwag was like
[00:04:21] It was that's what also made it fun. But yeah, I would say around the time like I would say it's two
[00:05:25] was and when they started like doing all that, stopped doing all that promotion. Once you had the gamer pass come out and the companies were putting out way more like stuff
[00:05:31] that they needed to, you know, that's when it's like, okay, like, I don't care. It's
[00:05:35] not as much about the swag as it is about. Oh, yeah. No, it was, it was just an unfortunate
[00:05:40] like downhill, like spiral thing. It was just you know, the time has come to say goodbye. Thanks for the memories. Good game. Well played. That's it. That's their. That's their goodbye. Like.
[00:07:05] What it also kind of solidifies like how they how they like left to win out.
[00:07:08] They went out. Yeah. But even then, right? Those companies are doing their own things. Aren't necessarily inviting the public to those things at all either. Right? No. No. Or what they send out to the public are like, cut up snippets of, you up, what, 2020 or 2020? So 2020, they went all digital. Yeah, 2022 is when everything was kind of going back. 2020 was canceled altogether. 21 was the all digital, all 22. They were going to try and do all digital and companies kept backing out. And that's when they announced.

[00:09:43] essentially being canceled as well
[00:09:44] because so many people backed out as well. Oh, yeah, of cod. Yeah. That's it, right? They had that big gold pattern. Remember, like, we can't just kind of looking like as much as like Spider-Man was cool. But I mean, we kind of just took a look back and like, did it sound sad on this side? That comfy, that carpet was kind of comfy though. Like, after being on your feet, just sit down on the bus carpet.

[00:13:44] The people that were working at the booth do you think you're like, how many, how many multiple times are we standing in line where we were like, dude, get out. No cuts. Like, are you, are you kidding me? Like, come on. Cyberpunk. Yeah, right? So, so E3, it was a good run. You know, like, I was kind of just a minute ago, it was like,
[00:16:20] you know, this is, this is this right here. And let's see how our votes turned out in comparison to the winners. I do want to do a shout out to Chris Judge, AKA Kratos, who had the best line of the entire show,
[00:17:22] We voted for Zelda. The winner was actually Alan Wake too.
[00:17:25] Remember though, we had that debate though.
[00:17:28] Like we were debating back and forth
[00:17:31] and we ultimately just went with Zelda
[00:17:32] because of the game design and stuff.

[00:17:36] Best narrative was.

[00:17:43] Rightfully so.
[00:18:43] It's a game. It's a base on a game. Like the reason it's there.

[00:22:44] play Honkai and I know a few people that play Monster Hunter and I was like it's just... But I remember it's like...

[00:22:47] I did try... I did download Ever Crisis to play it and it's not great.
[00:22:54] Yeah, how disappointed were you?

[00:22:57] I was super disappointed because Jason's converted notes on this, right?
[00:23:02] Well, we've got plenty of time, right? you can see it and you're like, okay, sweet. Yeah. It's something CG was gorgeous, but pick up. That was a pick up and put down instantly, you know? Yes. But was it a great mobile game? No. There's a lot of others. Boom. Yeah. Yep. Okay. Best VR AR.
[00:24:23] We did go with Resident Evil. And that's who the winner was.

[00:24:26] So. you gotta look at every, you know, for the best action adventure game. I think that's true. That's true. Yeah. It's all the marks like above and beyond. That is true. I just like. I just like. Like, yes, you have some puzzle solving. Yes, you have some travel like you're you're.
[00:25:43] There's a lot of different ways to travel the world.

[00:25:46] But I mean, it's where it has a strength. But I mean, there was hardly any, if not none, no puzzle solving. So that's where it's kind of done. So I mean, I think we hit the mark, but I don't know.

[00:31:01] you know, you know, of the game where no. Like, you wanna take over the entire kingdoms.

[00:32:27] and authentically adapts a video game So, and I think too, for me, like you're talking about the peaches thing with Mario though, Jerry, I think that's where it was like they Jack Black Bowser. I mean, dude, I mean, dude, case in point, case in point, the most recent, like, and like no joke, the most recent Jonas Brothers concert, I don't know where it was, but the

Um, I know some of the feedback from the game awards though was more like it didn't celebrate. Um, you know, the devs themselves. Yeah, it was more of a, Hey, here's what's coming, right?
[00:41:41] But I think what was most disappoint,
[00:42:42] that game sucks. That sucks. At the lowest rating in IGN history.

You're expecting more out of less. Like a lot of companies are, you know, and I'm not sure where they go from there.
[00:44:24] So, If I'm, if I'm, if my brain or if I feel ever like in a true funk and I don't like, I don't want to talk to anybody. I just need to kind of like focus and just, I just need a little bit of quiet. Yeah. I do a whole like Lego set and it just, yeah, it just comes with me. I love it. That's cool, man.

[00:47:00] I've been catching up on shows, tried to watch a little bit more Big Bang Theory. that so I love Alice in Borderlands you know but so we'll see waiting waiting for games to come out I still have a huge backlog that I will never finish and that's not familiar with that. Glory is about the first all black regiment in the Civil War. Had Denzel Washington in Morgan Frinn, like had the, um, probably Primal Fear. Tuskegee, Airmen, you know. Primal Fear and City of Angels is when I first... But yeah, Coach, you know, Laurie. It was, you know, when you look at the cast, he was with, with, in Glory, right? Denzel, Morgan, Andre Brouwer. Andre Brouwer was the friend of
[00:52:08] I'm no honestly, it's in it's a solid game like I would give it I would give it a solid seven like it's it's been hard to review wise though like yeah, but a lot of the reviews have been hitting it like average or like kind of hitting it a
[00:52:17] little bit blazay hard, but I kind of understand much relaxed Thursday night and Friday so I finished I banged out three
[00:53:44] quarters and finished out Picard season three on a they ended it. Let it be. Give us Star Trek, you know, Star Trek legacy after the fact, you know, but played some more. I wonder. So I've got a little, you know, I've started to come back to some of the other levels. You beat that one lower, right? Oh, yes, I did. And I'm starting to maximize a little bit. Like I have one part of my island where it has my campsite and my mountains, my waterfall, and it's segregated now. So like you can only get it to it from two different places. Oh sweet. So you're ton of time to play a lot of games and stuff like that. So it's just been watching a little bit and we're on season halfway through season three on our rewatch of Once Upon a Time.
[00:57:45] Good rewatch. Pan just showed up like we're on the pan season. cast of Final Fantasy 7 remake on there. We are trying to get our yearly holiday episode with them planned out with with Jon and Mallory and Austin and Vic and stuff like that. We'll see how that plays out because they have been rather busy since the the strike has ended.
