[00:00:00] Podcast, Crashing Game Night Podcast, Crashing Game Night

[00:00:14] I want to welcome everybody Crashing Game Night. My name is Matt DiOrio your Sombra Rockies

[00:00:20] fan rooting for a 3 and 8 team. Your host as always. I'm joined by the frickin Dodger

[00:00:29] loving beanie one Gerard. No Dodgers Dodger blue baby. Oh, hey, what's how's it going nerds?

[00:00:34] Yes, that's right. I'm a little less somber today. Yeah, my team's doing doing a little

[00:00:41] bit better. It's not a problem. It's all right. It's all right. But it's the bottom of the

[00:00:45] second inning is already three to one frickin Arizona. Anyways, yeah. What's up guys?

[00:00:52] Happy to be here. Happy to see and listen to hear you and hear all your beautiful

[00:00:58] voices and faces. Hopefully and thanks for joining J. Rock and that and the other gentleman

[00:01:06] joining us tonight because the babyface one here is our major services, the man with the

[00:01:13] couch, the man, the myth, the legend, lion, junior Jason Bolio. How's it going guys?

[00:01:24] What the heck man? Because you were not there yet. It's not back to your epicness. Yeah,

[00:01:35] but it's coming in nicely though. Like I needed to take it all down. Now it's like coming in

[00:01:40] like it has a form now. Like yeah, it's looking good. Shape going. You know how it's gonna

[00:01:47] grow out like sides. I gotta get a little bit of like take it down a little bit. But

[00:01:52] you know, you want to tame the main a little bit. You know, it is good. It is good. Now

[00:01:58] we get back to guys. Don't worry. Don't worry. We're coming up. We're coming up very slowly.

[00:02:04] You know, I'm gonna surpass both these guys next week. Don't worry. I mean if I wanted

[00:02:11] to I could let mine grow out. I just don't like it. So you know, I don't like it.

[00:02:20] But I tame the sides now. So but I'm gonna let this grow out. It's always one of the things

[00:02:25] that it was like, oh, like why did you take it off? Like with you or was it more like

[00:02:29] you're the misses and I was like, no, no, no, it's always when you always you have mood swings

[00:02:35] when it comes to like it's time like yeah, but I get it. Yeah, but you know for those out there,

[00:02:40] you know, like that have to keep a clean shave face, you know, because the misses,

[00:02:44] hey, you know what? That's okay. That's okay, man. That's okay. I just don't like it.

[00:02:49] So anyways, how you doing? Bro. Oh, Tuesday. Yeah, clips man. How did you enjoy the eclipse?

[00:02:59] Um, so that was that was a hot topic over the weekend. You know, it was 65% coverage here.

[00:03:07] Nice man. We only had both of our 30. So yeah, I uh, so I took Cody's school yesterday morning,

[00:03:18] you know, half the school was gone. Like literally half the school because our school district

[00:03:24] decided to not let any kids out to go see the eclipse. Um, the way I understand it,

[00:03:32] it sounds like one parent bitched in moan in 2017 about watching the eclipse or whatever

[00:03:37] and it ruined it for everybody. So I think it's sad because the the U.S.

[00:03:45] Right. We're going to have a eclipse hit in 2044, but it's only be able to be seen in parts

[00:03:49] of Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. Um, but the next major eclipse, which here

[00:03:54] in Colorado down in Colorado Springs, it's going to be 100% coverage. It's going to

[00:04:00] be totality. Wow. So up here, we'll probably get like 90%. But you know, these kids

[00:04:07] are going to be in their 20s when you think about it, like 21 years from now

[00:04:11] or sorry, 45. So in the next 21 years for the next one. So they're going to be adults.

[00:04:16] Like some of them having kids of their own, you know, and the fact that they're not

[00:04:21] going to be able to experience this, especially when they're learning about

[00:04:23] space right now, like come on. So especially when it's when there's so much more

[00:04:30] of an interest of trying to revitalize more of we are getting ready to go back

[00:04:36] to the moon with Artemis. Yeah, yeah. This is the time you should have done this.

[00:04:40] And so, um, so rather before I took him to preschool, we went outside. We watched

[00:04:45] part of it. I dropped him off, walked my butt right around over to the front

[00:04:49] office and I said, Hey, I need to borrow my son for like five minutes.

[00:04:52] They called them out of class, took him out of class so he could actually

[00:04:55] see the eclipse. I sent you guys pictures of them in there. Yeah.

[00:05:01] So yeah, it was definitely it was it was something that had to happen for me.

[00:05:08] We all know I'm very much a, you know, a space nerd and whatnot.

[00:05:13] And heck, I've got a Legos International Space Station that is getting

[00:05:18] ready to get put back together. You know, we Cody and I put back together

[00:05:23] the women of NASA Lego sets that they did. Oh, cool.

[00:05:29] So, you know, they've got, um, you know, Margaret Hamilton who helped

[00:05:34] program some of the coding for Apollo for the lander.

[00:05:38] You know, you've got my Jamison who's the first African American woman to

[00:05:43] travel in the space shuttle, you know, Sally Ride, who we all know was

[00:05:48] part of the Challenger mission, you know, that unfortunately for us,

[00:05:53] that kind of grew up. You know, some of us saw that actually happen on TV.

[00:05:58] And then we've also got, you know, Nancy Roman who is worked on the Hubble project.

[00:06:08] Oh, cool. Yeah. So it was for me, it is something that they absolutely should have seen.

[00:06:16] And I wasn't going to let them miss it at all. So, um, but yeah, it was really cool.

[00:06:23] Did you guys actually get to see any of the 30% for you guys?

[00:06:27] I did a little bit yesterday. Yeah.

[00:06:30] I only saw it through a friend, a friend, a friend's friend took a video

[00:06:38] via a telescope and showed me the video of that.

[00:06:42] And I was like, yeah, that's pretty cool. It's like a full time lapse of it.

[00:06:45] Oh, nice.

[00:06:47] And I was like, that's pretty cool. You know, it's like, you know, they time lapsed it.

[00:06:50] So then like it's only like a 15 second video.

[00:06:54] So you see this little, that's like, hey, that's all I needed to happen though.

[00:07:01] Yeah. We didn't, we didn't get full. So we're like, Hey, you know what?

[00:07:04] Like a little bit of chill and, you know, obviously I'm not going to be staying at the sun.

[00:07:10] Please, please follow you people out there that did or didn't see it.

[00:07:14] Just don't look at the sun. It's not good for you.

[00:07:18] Now there's using your camera phone without what pair of glasses filtering it.

[00:07:22] Yeah. So I mean, like, please don't do that either by me.

[00:07:25] And like this is the guy that has like a telescope that's like fully ready to go.

[00:07:30] He was like, he's just filtered. Yeah.

[00:07:33] Oh dude, there was a couple of people in my neighborhood that had the bigger telescopes out for it.

[00:07:37] They're just like ready for it. Like just already positioned new exactly like the exact coordinates.

[00:07:43] So it's like this shot like Jerry don't be surprised when you have people showing with iPhones and their cameras don't work anymore.

[00:07:49] Because a lot of people were dumb enough to not use a filter on their camera sense, you know, on their camera phones and pointing directly at the sun and fries the camera chip.

[00:07:59] Oh, no. Okay. Okay.

[00:08:04] There was tons of tons of articles out about it. Oh my God.

[00:08:08] Not only do you not look directly at it, don't use your camera phone to take the pictures without putting the glasses pair glasses over top of it.

[00:08:15] So anyways, so that was interesting.

[00:08:20] Yeah.

[00:08:23] So real quick before we get into our kind of bigger topics, which is more X men and a little bit of Star Wars, not TV shows, Jason, not move.

[00:08:34] Well, kind of but it's going to be we got a game announced finally officially today from our friend, Julian Garity over at Ubisoft.

[00:08:45] So we'll talk about the second but first, I want to say, you know, my condolences to the family of Louis Gossett Jr. who passed away last week at the age of 87.

[00:09:02] He'd been acting since 55.

[00:09:06] Some of the titles that he goes back to like he was part, you know, he was in Jaws 3D. He was in the movie Enemy Mine.

[00:09:16] He was also in Iron Eagle as a chappy Sinclair, which that's where I first was introduced to him.

[00:09:24] Because of course, I was a Top Gun fan. Iron Eagle comes out and figured, hey, let's let's take a look at it.

[00:09:30] And it's like it's like the wish version of Top Gun.

[00:09:34] You know, they they the story behind Iron Eagle is they went to the US Air Force and said, hey, we want to make a movie about the US Air Force.

[00:09:44] No, oh, to hell.

[00:09:46] So they had to go over to Israel and use Israeli F-16s to do the dog fights and everything.

[00:09:54] But he was in.

[00:10:00] What else?

[00:10:01] He was in the old Punisher movie with Dolph Lundgren way back.

[00:10:06] Oh, that's right. I forgot about that.

[00:10:09] He was in the movie Toy Soldiers.

[00:10:12] Yeah, he was a voice in Captain Planet for a little while as it kind of got longer on in his career.

[00:10:24] That's so that's so great.

[00:10:25] I think what would be some titles that.

[00:10:31] Well, he was in the new Color Purple, the remake of that one.

[00:10:34] Yeah, not too long ago.

[00:10:36] The Watchman.

[00:10:38] Yeah, it was a showtime or HBO.

[00:10:41] I think it was HBO.

[00:10:42] Something like that.

[00:10:45] But yeah, it was a lot of he was in Boardwalk Empire for an episode.

[00:10:50] Nice.

[00:10:51] You know, so he had a very, very long career.

[00:10:55] He was one of the actors up and coming that helped African Americans actors kind of make their stamp on Hollywood.

[00:11:07] During the 50s, 60s and 70s.

[00:11:11] And whatnot.

[00:11:12] So it's just sad to see, you know, someone that if a legend, yeah, he's a legend.

[00:11:19] And honestly, like, if you if you saw his picture, you would immediately recognize him.

[00:11:24] Like he was just one of those faces.

[00:11:26] The name isn't there.

[00:11:27] Like we know Morgan Freeman and James Roll Jones.

[00:11:32] Right.

[00:11:33] You know them by name.

[00:11:34] You know them by face.

[00:11:35] No, it's just one of those actors that you know their face and whatnot.

[00:11:39] And, you know, he's on the Jeffersons for a little bit too and and whatnot.

[00:11:44] So but yeah, my thoughts go out to his family, you know, but from the sounds of it didn't sound like he went out like suffering or anything just kind of natural causes.

[00:11:56] Anyways, so let's let's let's talk some X men because episode four had a lot.

[00:12:06] Oh yeah.

[00:12:07] Yeah.

[00:12:10] How did you guys feel about episode four?

[00:12:15] I honestly enjoy it.

[00:12:17] I enjoyed it.

[00:12:18] I think the pacing is by episode by episode is going well.

[00:12:25] You know, the mix of the main story and then the side stories like this, I think it like is it's a good mix.

[00:12:32] Like it's not like too heavy on, you know, just side stories and then finally getting to the to the main story or too much main story and then, you know, you get into it and then, you know, a side story, you know, it's heavy.

[00:12:47] It's well balanced.

[00:12:49] And this one just really hit home, dude.

[00:12:52] Like this hit such nostalgia with Mojo World and like all of the little Easter eggs in Jubilee's room.

[00:13:00] Like they I really credit the creators and you know, everyone involved because it was it definitely hit home where like it paid homage to the old to the old to it was cool.

[00:13:15] Yeah.

[00:13:16] I mean, it was one of the best.

[00:13:17] Like I said, I was telling the guys earlier, one of the best things is that you have the literal passing of the torch of voice actresses.

[00:13:26] You know, that too.

[00:13:27] That surprised me having having the original Jubilee from 95 now coming back to cameo and voice Jubilee again.

[00:13:39] Having two different Jubilees, you know, obviously you you can hear the distinct difference in both their voices.

[00:13:45] And it's a definite passing of the torch from this the old generation Jubilee.

[00:13:51] That's like, oh, like this is what you can do this like everything that's now what you're capable of doing showing the new recent 97 Jubilee like, hey, like this is everything like this is this is you now like you.

[00:14:07] I can give you all the tools and now make it you, you know, like on so many levels, I feel that it's so great to see like old cast giving passing the torch to the new cast.

[00:14:21] And it's, you know, rightfully done.

[00:14:24] It's well, it's well done, you know, like you have all the idioms, the mannerisms from the 95 old Jubilee.

[00:14:33] Well, in this case, it's mojo with a cyber cyber world Jubilee.

[00:14:38] Yeah.

[00:14:39] Yep.

[00:14:40] Being passed on and you just like wow.

[00:14:41] Obsessa.

[00:14:42] Yeah.

[00:14:43] It's just so good to see that like, you know, that that bond that the two of them now share being Jubilee, you know, so well done.

[00:14:56] And I do have to say, I am kind of I laugh a little bit for all the anime fans out there.

[00:15:03] You know exactly that the giant spherical attack that Jubilee does at the very end.

[00:15:12] No, you know, you know that is a Naruto Rasengan in X-Men form.

[00:15:20] Like it maybe that was maybe that was the creators paying like kind of.

[00:15:25] Paying homage.

[00:15:26] I mean, it is.

[00:15:27] It is a shot for not shot for shot, but it is so identical that it just makes it, you know what?

[00:15:33] Like for those that do watch anime, you know, because a lot of people that watch cartoons watch anime as well, you know, it's it's like a little like here you go.

[00:15:43] Like we can't really say what it is, but you know, you know, you know.

[00:15:49] So let's look at some of the Easter eggs, right?

[00:15:55] So screen rent did a really good list of it.

[00:16:00] So you've got a stuffed long shot right here, which was we all know is one of Mojo's kind of main main guys, you know in the comic main attractions.

[00:16:14] Yep.

[00:16:17] You have the original Genosha episode from X-Men season one, like the show where you've got Domino, Lob and Sunfire.

[00:16:27] And then you have a Dazzler reference, which rumor is that we may get Taylor Swift playing Dazzler in.

[00:16:41] Oh, like a live action?

[00:16:44] In Deadpool.

[00:16:46] Oh, that'd be sweet.

[00:16:48] There's rumor that she's playing Dazzler.

[00:16:51] And then you have player select menu like the old references like the arcade game and cable.

[00:17:01] That's so cool.

[00:17:04] And then you have the X-Men The Wanted poster from X-Men, which is the actual comic book cover from back in the day.

[00:17:15] Then you have of course the classic X-Men Arcade references, you know, including the Savage Land,

[00:17:27] which anybody who has played the X-Men Arcade game knows just how much of a pain in the ass at level was and so on and was the fight.

[00:17:35] Then you've got Spiral, who is basically...

[00:17:39] That was so great.

[00:17:40] Mojo's tech support.

[00:17:42] That was so funny.

[00:17:44] Yeah.

[00:17:45] And then you've got, of course we talked about her, Obsessa, which is basically Jubilee aged as a variant, which was really cool to see.

[00:17:55] If you didn't catch it, there was the X-Men Arcade cabinet itself drawn into the episode.

[00:18:00] Yeah.

[00:18:03] Which for those who know, they know.

[00:18:07] You know, the original...

[00:18:09] Right there, right there. That was the best picture right there.

[00:18:11] Right there. That is, you know, we all know.

[00:18:15] That little arcade cabinet in the second picture.

[00:18:18] Yeah. See like if you knew, if you were at the arcade, you would be.

[00:18:21] Yeah. Exactly.

[00:18:22] You know, you know.

[00:18:24] The only difference is this picture in the original game, it wasn't Jean Grey. It was Jubilee.

[00:18:31] Oh yeah, you're supposed to...

[00:18:32] Yeah, or Dazzler, yeah.

[00:18:34] Yeah. Sorry, it was Dazzler.

[00:18:36] Anyway, so then you've got a picture of X-Factor.

[00:18:39] X-Factor, yep.

[00:18:41] And then they talk about, you know, Forge's history, you know, and how he kind of started out, which was starting the original.

[00:18:53] Mutant collars. Like his original rough stuff is what created the collars later on.

[00:19:00] And this was a good pivot in the episode too. Like this was a good like story, like yeah.

[00:19:06] And then you had the adversary, which is Forge's demon from the comics and stuff.

[00:19:12] So there was all great Easter eggs.

[00:19:19] I think my only complaint was, I think it was the weakest of the first four episodes.

[00:19:24] Just in terms of, you know, yeah, you have...

[00:19:28] I think it would have been better to do an episode just for Jubilee and Sunspot and then do Storm as another episode.

[00:19:35] I don't think so.

[00:19:36] Kind of taking those two storylines kind of...

[00:19:38] Well, the whole point was because the Storm in Forge one was supposed to be broken up.

[00:19:46] It's supposed to be a part one and part two.

[00:19:49] Yeah.

[00:19:50] I mean, at the same time, I don't mind it because you're pulling...

[00:19:55] The only way I can think of it is like you're pulling a smoking ace this kind of thing where you have so many different parts of the X-Men that do need their full backstory or that they do need their longer extended story that they weren't given before.

[00:20:13] I mean, I don't think it's a spoiler, but at some point in time, I'm wondering if they're going to do it in this storyline in this 97 if they finally turn Jubilee into a vampire.

[00:20:27] If she goes full turn.

[00:20:31] That's going to be awesome because I know it's in the timeline, it's in there.

[00:20:39] I just don't know when, if it's going to happen.

[00:20:41] Because a lot of people they're like, oh my goodness, this is going to happen or that's going to happen.

[00:20:46] So many things, it can go up and down, but I do like that they're progressing the stories bit by bit and you're getting a full picture rather than like...

[00:20:57] Oh yeah.

[00:20:58] Here's just Wolverine, here's just Jubilee.

[00:21:01] You have to like kind of piece together like a good old fashioned Marvel series, you know?

[00:21:07] I don't want that.

[00:21:08] I want them to like everybody to still be like present or like...

[00:21:12] I agree.

[00:21:13] I kind of like it broken up with a little bit of both and then...

[00:21:16] Yeah, because then you have smaller...

[00:21:18] Because in the next episode, it's going to be the same.

[00:21:20] It's going to be part two, but it's still going to be, I think, like partially two episodes.

[00:21:26] Yeah, and you're going to have smaller bits of all the pieces.

[00:21:29] You know like you have the whole...

[00:21:31] You have the Jubilee and Sunspot storyline.

[00:21:34] You have the Storm and Forge storyline.

[00:21:36] You had the Gambit, Magneto and Rogue storyline.

[00:21:39] You have Gene, Scott and Nathan.

[00:21:44] You know that all those storylines right now are going all at the same time rather than be like, okay, let's play this one all the way out.

[00:21:52] And then let's play all this one all the way out and then you have to go back and come back to this spot rather than just like, hey, everything is moving at the same time.

[00:22:00] That's why I think it's a healthy mix and like it's moving everything along.

[00:22:04] That's why I've liked the pacing so far.

[00:22:07] Yeah, exactly.

[00:22:08] The pacing is just right on point.

[00:22:10] I can't believe I'm saying this as a Marvel...

[00:22:13] Not a Marvel Hater.

[00:22:15] Marvel, you need a slow-ya break.

[00:22:17] Marvel ate her.

[00:22:19] Marvel, Marvel slow your breaks.

[00:22:21] Maybe more of a heavier critic.

[00:22:24] Yeah, heavier critic. There we go.

[00:22:26] Oh no, no, no. Hater.

[00:22:27] No, no.

[00:22:28] Hater.

[00:22:29] I only hate on the movie because they given me like 15 different series that I got to watch to watch one movie and that's not fair.

[00:22:39] That's why I like X-Men 97.

[00:22:41] You're watching one episode and everything's happening at one time.

[00:22:45] I don't need to watch 17 different episodes to watch one episode. Get out of here.

[00:22:50] Stop it.

[00:22:51] What phase are we on? 15 now?

[00:22:54] Oh wait, no, we had a retcon phase 7 or phase 5.

[00:22:58] I don't know at this point.

[00:23:00] You're so annoying.

[00:23:01] We have to go back.

[00:23:02] We have to retcon something.

[00:23:06] We have to recast the entire Wakanda.

[00:23:12] We're between phase 3 and phase 4 right now.

[00:23:15] Yeah, we need to recast the entirety of Wakanda.

[00:23:18] We have to figure out who's going to be the next Black Widow or who's going to be stepping in for the new Big Bad.

[00:23:28] Maybe we're going to have Jerry going to be a cable, like this grossing light beard.

[00:23:36] I don't know, man.

[00:23:39] I'm tired of trying to figure this out.

[00:23:44] Give us a break and then pull them in.

[00:23:49] That's the thing they have. They are on a break.

[00:23:52] Dude, the only focus that they have been doing right now is literally Deadpool and Wolverine and X-Men 97.

[00:24:00] That's all they've been doing.

[00:24:02] Well, they're prepping Fantastic Four.

[00:24:05] That's going to fail. Let's just be real. There's not been a good Fantastic Four.

[00:24:12] The responses has not been great.

[00:24:15] Regardless of the cast, because the cast I say they're saving grace, but the Silver Surfer announcement, I get where they're going with it.

[00:24:27] Your cast can only go so far, but I mean like...

[00:24:30] The cast from the old two Fantastic Fours ago was just all A stars in their prime still bombed.

[00:24:41] So it's not a fan favorite, let's say.

[00:24:47] Honestly, here's the thing is I get why they wanted you the diversity thing.

[00:24:53] I get it, but I think they dropped the ball on Silver Surfer because...

[00:24:56] But it's even the storyline.

[00:24:58] Yeah, I mean, but even then, I think they dropped the ball on Silver Surfer because I'm not knocking them going with the necessarily the female version of Silver Surfer, which is Shalabal.

[00:25:08] Which she is in the comics, right?

[00:25:10] There is a...

[00:25:12] It's a certain storyline that like it makes sense technically the direction that we think they're going.

[00:25:21] But the thing is like you said Norman Radd is the more coveted character.

[00:25:26] When you think of Silver Surfer, everyone thinks of Norman Radd.

[00:25:31] It's that character, yes.

[00:25:33] Like I didn't even know who Shalabal was in terms of Surfer history.

[00:25:38] Like I had to go look her up.

[00:25:40] And I think that's my bigger issue with it is that you went with an obscure piece of comic book history that people are going to really have to understand the history of the Silver Surfer to know who Shalabal is.

[00:25:55] So it'll be interesting to see what happens with that.

[00:26:02] I am saving reservations as much as I was entertained and I enjoyed the original two Fantastic Four.

[00:26:12] I mean, I really liked Rise of the Silver Surfer just because the Surfer...

[00:26:18] I grew up on the Surfer.

[00:26:20] Like the original two.

[00:26:22] Exactly.

[00:26:23] The movie or did you enjoy the few moments Surfer was in the movie?

[00:26:27] That's where I'm at.

[00:26:29] You shut your mouth.

[00:26:31] It was just a Surfer.

[00:26:33] Okay, I enjoyed the first one because...

[00:26:38] A handful of moments.

[00:26:40] I mean, I enjoyed the original one because I think Chris Evans at the time was perfect for...

[00:26:45] No, he was perfect for Johnny Storm at that time.

[00:26:47] But once again, that's one performance that was enjoyable.

[00:26:52] And that was the one performance that sold Johnny Storm.

[00:26:59] You know what I mean?

[00:27:01] Yeah, those movies were rough.

[00:27:04] The reboot...

[00:27:05] And honestly, we accepted them because it's all we had.

[00:27:08] And as much as I really like Miles Teller as an actor, the 2015 Fantastic Four sucked.

[00:27:15] We didn't even need knowledge.

[00:27:16] You're only putting out new Fantastic Four because all the licenses go up.

[00:27:20] And once the license goes up, oh, we got to put something out there and just throw it out there like for the World Tab.

[00:27:25] I just...

[00:27:27] I really don't think...

[00:27:29] That was a huge blunder.

[00:27:30] Yeah, I don't think Pedro Pascal is going to be enough to save Fantastic Four.

[00:27:37] No, it's not.

[00:27:40] I mean, I totally agree.

[00:27:43] I think the cast is great.

[00:27:45] I think the cast is there.

[00:27:46] Just because the cast is great, what does it mean?

[00:27:48] No, no, no. Let me finish because it does depend on...

[00:27:51] It depends on the story.

[00:27:53] It depends on the script, obviously.

[00:27:55] They can only do so much.

[00:27:57] Very true.

[00:27:58] There's all of that that comes into play.

[00:28:01] And then of course, you know, who's going to be the villain?

[00:28:04] Because they can't do...

[00:28:06] They have to have someone of significance.

[00:28:09] It can't just be Silver Surfer.

[00:28:12] It can't.

[00:28:13] Well, you know if Surfer's in it, we're getting Galactus.

[00:28:16] That's going to be a given.

[00:28:18] Not necessarily.

[00:28:20] Well, they have to make up for Rise of the Silver Surfer and the fact that we basically got a cloud for Galactus.

[00:28:27] Let's just be fair.

[00:28:28] Like I said, we don't know.

[00:28:31] And honestly, before they even go that route, they need to set it up or they need to decide on...

[00:28:40] I mean, let's be honest.

[00:28:42] Because Galactus is a big deal and that is something that like...

[00:28:48] They would have to set up kind of like Athanos.

[00:28:51] I still think like when you look at the Fantastic Four from 2015, those actors were really good in their own right.

[00:28:57] If you take them separate and put them like in their other projects like Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Marr, right?

[00:29:03] But the story sucked.

[00:29:05] And I'm afraid that's what's going to happen with this one.

[00:29:08] You hit it right on the nail.

[00:29:10] That was the quintessential thing.

[00:29:12] That cast was also great.

[00:29:14] Miles Teller, like he could have played great with that and then Michael B. Jordan, like that is canon.

[00:29:21] Like he would have been a great...

[00:29:23] He was already a cool human torch.

[00:29:25] Kate Marr, everyone was like...

[00:29:27] It was a great cast.

[00:29:28] Solid.

[00:29:29] Full story.

[00:29:30] And then what did they do?

[00:29:32] They altered the villain, right?

[00:29:35] And then screwed that up.

[00:29:37] Then then...

[00:29:38] Who were they supposed to fight?

[00:29:40] Oh, right. The villain in another universe.

[00:29:43] And then he like...

[00:29:45] But he was there the entire time.

[00:29:47] Like it was...

[00:29:49] Okay, so let's look at the major villains out there, right?

[00:29:56] Before we move on to...

[00:29:57] He was like an anti-establishment.

[00:29:59] So you've got Anilis.

[00:30:04] You've got Galactus.

[00:30:06] I don't think you introduced Super Scroll this early, right?

[00:30:10] But that's a...

[00:30:11] I would say you have to tease it.

[00:30:13] But I would say yeah.

[00:30:14] No, I think you're going to tease Dr. D. Goll and anything.

[00:30:17] But that would be a good opener to have it tie in to certain franchise.

[00:30:22] Well, you've already got the...

[00:30:23] But you already have the scrolls.

[00:30:24] The scrolls were pretty much introduced with Captain Marvel.

[00:30:27] That's where they were introduced.

[00:30:29] Captain Marvel's secret invasion.

[00:30:31] Wasn't at the end of one of those movies.

[00:30:35] One of the movies...

[00:30:36] And Spider-Man.

[00:30:38] Let's just say one of the movies from phase of the go before Endgame.

[00:30:45] No, it's after Endgame.

[00:30:47] Whatever.

[00:30:48] Anyways, it's somewhere in the after credits.

[00:30:52] Although all the scrolls were like they were in the car hanging out.

[00:30:56] I forget.

[00:30:57] Yeah, that was Spider-Man.

[00:30:58] Sure.

[00:30:59] Sounds good.

[00:31:00] You teased it instantly already.

[00:31:03] Just a little snippet.

[00:31:04] Now you can tease it again.

[00:31:06] And then you can have the scroll be as a big bad.

[00:31:09] It makes sense because...

[00:31:11] But they're doing secret invasion though.

[00:31:13] So I don't think you want to take away what secret invasion is going to be about.

[00:31:17] No, but you still keep them there.

[00:31:20] You still keep them there.

[00:31:21] You keep them in the back pocket.

[00:31:23] That's the back pocket.

[00:31:26] Throw it out there in case something new happens.

[00:31:29] And you're like, we have to re-wreck on everything again.

[00:31:32] You got to put that in your back pocket.

[00:31:35] You got to have it ready to go just in case something else blunders.

[00:31:38] Like the third one in the middle.

[00:31:42] That was a big blunder.

[00:31:44] So now they have to redo all of phase 17.

[00:31:48] All of phase 15 just to redo what they did.

[00:31:53] Here's my thing.

[00:31:55] I would...

[00:31:57] Anilius, I think would be good.

[00:31:59] Galactus.

[00:32:00] Super Skulls would be on my list but down towards the bottom.

[00:32:03] I think they need to really do...

[00:32:05] If they're going to do it, they need to do Dr. Doom right?

[00:32:09] You know?

[00:32:10] That's my one and only choice.

[00:32:13] I do think that if...

[00:32:16] We know that the rumors are out there that Henry Cavill is joining the MCU.

[00:32:21] I would love to see him as Dr. Doom.

[00:32:25] Yeah, right now the consensus is Doom or Wolverine.

[00:32:30] Like he's starting to get attraction on Wolverine.

[00:32:33] Yeah, there's rumors that he's one of the versions of Wolverine.

[00:32:36] There's going to be...

[00:32:38] There's other rumors out there that he's going to be Captain Britain.

[00:32:41] That's kind of lost the wayside there.

[00:32:46] I don't hear that very much anymore.

[00:32:49] See, here's my thing. It's like Fantastic Four.

[00:32:52] As much as people know the group, you don't really know their villains, right?

[00:32:57] You have to pick someone that people know.

[00:33:01] Exactly, that's why.

[00:33:02] There's only four.

[00:33:04] That's why I also think...

[00:33:05] Well, there's more than that.

[00:33:07] The first girl tie-in is also kind of key because that just raises more interest.

[00:33:15] Of the Fantastic Four possibly coming into other franchises.

[00:33:21] That's the only reason.

[00:33:23] You can't do Kang because honestly...

[00:33:26] No, but the being villain for me would have to...

[00:33:28] It has to be Doom.

[00:33:30] And then do a end credit scene or something with Galactus and Silver Surfer.

[00:33:40] But with Silver Surfer being already casted in the movie,

[00:33:44] I'm wondering like...

[00:33:46] Maybe they are going with Galactus.

[00:33:49] Maybe that's a big set-up.

[00:33:51] He's either going to be A, the big bad of one, or he's coming in two.

[00:33:57] But here's what my thing is.

[00:33:59] I honestly don't think it's going to be well enough to get it to.

[00:34:04] No way.

[00:34:06] I don't know. I'm optimistic towards it.

[00:34:10] I think we're staring at X-Men Last And type.

[00:34:14] I think that's way too harsh there.

[00:34:18] I don't think so.

[00:34:19] Look at their track record.

[00:34:21] Yeah, given their track record.

[00:34:23] With the Fantastic Four specifically?

[00:34:25] No, because those were the Fox movies.

[00:34:28] Those were different.

[00:34:30] But what I would say is that the fact that Marvel's kind of re-evaluating

[00:34:36] what they're doing right now,

[00:34:38] and as Jason said before a while ago,

[00:34:42] and now they're finally doing it, slowing things down.

[00:34:46] I think they're going to take a bit more care towards the writing in the movie.

[00:34:52] I'm still optimistic because as we see right now,

[00:34:56] all they're promoting right now is X-Men and Deadpool and Wolverine.

[00:35:00] That's it.

[00:35:02] Everything else has either been shelved or postponed.

[00:35:07] So I kind of see them, they are re-evaluating obviously,

[00:35:13] and I think they are going to take a hard and more delicate look

[00:35:19] to the Fantastic Four movie.

[00:35:21] So I'm optimistic.

[00:35:25] It's Marvel.

[00:35:27] People are still going to buy the tickets, hence Jerry.

[00:35:32] And it's fine.

[00:35:35] But I'm not a fanatic.

[00:35:38] I do agree with their shortcomings and I do argue what they haven't

[00:35:46] and haven't been doing.

[00:35:48] But all I'm saying, I appreciate what we're getting because

[00:35:52] of what we have gotten in the past, like the Fox movies,

[00:35:57] the older Fantastic Four movie.

[00:35:59] I've dealt with those.

[00:36:01] I just feel that all of that they're doing right now,

[00:36:06] it's good, it's fine, but I just don't want...

[00:36:11] I mean you're going to have to cast whoever is in this cast

[00:36:15] for the long run.

[00:36:17] It is just how they've been doing it.

[00:36:20] You can't have, for example, you can't have Chris Evans

[00:36:23] in two different...

[00:36:24] You can't have him as an old school Fantastic Four,

[00:36:27] you can't have him as Captain America.

[00:36:29] It doesn't work.

[00:36:30] MCU, multiverse, yes you can.

[00:36:32] Whoever knows, stop it, stop it.

[00:36:35] If that's the case, then Chris Evans is going to be

[00:36:38] freaking everywhere.

[00:36:39] That is true.

[00:36:40] But I also kind of believe like within Deadpool and Wolverine

[00:36:46] within the next couple of movies,

[00:36:48] I think they're kind of straying away from the multiverse.

[00:36:50] They have to.

[00:36:51] Well, no, so here's what they're talking about,

[00:36:54] no, for Deadpool and Wolverine.

[00:36:56] In control or something.

[00:36:58] The premise of what is coming out about Deadpool and Wolverine

[00:37:03] is that they're going to establish that there is

[00:37:10] one major hero in each universe,

[00:37:12] and if they die, the basically the universe collapses.

[00:37:17] Huh.

[00:37:18] So that's the route they're going.

[00:37:20] That's weird.

[00:37:21] Yeah, I don't...

[00:37:23] Yeah, we'll find out what it all is,

[00:37:25] but I mean honestly when we know Deadpool and Wolverine

[00:37:29] has the TVA, you know.

[00:37:33] Because obviously like based on the trailer,

[00:37:36] like the 20th Century Fox you see like is in shambles.

[00:37:40] So like that carries weight, what you're saying.

[00:37:47] But I'm just one single hero from like...

[00:37:51] That if that hero dies, right?

[00:37:53] Yeah.

[00:37:54] The whole universe unravels, right?

[00:37:59] But in that universe there are multiple heroes.

[00:38:01] I mean, that's weird.

[00:38:02] So one was like the...

[00:38:03] It's Marvel, baby!

[00:38:04] It is Marvel, baby.

[00:38:05] I wonder.

[00:38:07] I'm still going to see it.

[00:38:09] Don't question Marvel, Jerry.

[00:38:10] Don't question Marvel.

[00:38:11] You know, don't question Marvel.

[00:38:13] Yeah.

[00:38:16] I'm not a lemming.

[00:38:17] I get it.

[00:38:18] Like that's why I question, but I mean,

[00:38:20] but the thing is I still go to be entertained.

[00:38:25] That's the difference.

[00:38:27] I still go to enjoy it just because...

[00:38:30] So when you watch the TV series,

[00:38:31] when you watch a show, you know,

[00:38:33] you're like, okay, you know what's...

[00:38:35] It's going to end at some point.

[00:38:37] You know, you know it's going to end.

[00:38:39] Not Marvel, baby, not Marvel.

[00:38:41] Not Marvel.

[00:38:42] Which is cool.

[00:38:43] And now...

[00:38:44] It's not.

[00:38:45] You enjoy.

[00:38:46] It's not.

[00:38:47] It's not.

[00:38:48] All right.

[00:38:49] Let's get off the Marvel thing

[00:38:50] and let's go onto the other side of the house of mouse

[00:38:52] and go to Star Wars.

[00:38:54] And today the story trailer came out

[00:38:59] for Star Wars Outlaw,

[00:39:01] which it looks great.

[00:39:06] Going back to year one of this podcast,

[00:39:10] episode 20, Julian Garrity,

[00:39:14] who used to be the director on the division,

[00:39:17] he is helming the project from a director capacity.

[00:39:22] It looks great.

[00:39:23] We do actually get the official confirmation

[00:39:26] that this does take place between Empire Strikes Back

[00:39:29] and Return of the Jedi.

[00:39:31] Because in the trailer,

[00:39:32] we do get to see a very frozen Han Solo

[00:39:35] in Carbonite.

[00:39:36] In Carbonite.

[00:39:37] And Jabba Dodge.

[00:39:38] We can see Jabba.

[00:39:39] Yeah, that was cool.

[00:39:41] And you know, some of the different Thai fighters

[00:39:43] and stuff like that.

[00:39:45] So it looks good.

[00:39:49] It is coming out in August

[00:39:51] and August 30th is when it releases.

[00:39:55] And when you look at Ubisoft,

[00:40:00] because we do have press access to the Ubisoft press website.

[00:40:05] So some of the key information they provided was that,

[00:40:09] you know, you're going to be able to explore distinct planets.

[00:40:12] They're going to have bustling cities and cantinas.

[00:40:14] You're going to be able to go out in your,

[00:40:17] you know, on your speeder out into the landscape.

[00:40:19] Each planet is going to be different with rewards

[00:40:22] and challenges and adventures.

[00:40:24] You know, it is an original story set in the universe.

[00:40:29] You know.

[00:40:31] And you will be able to pilot the trailblazer

[00:40:35] is what the actual ship is called that your main character

[00:40:38] is flying.

[00:40:40] Her name is KVS.

[00:40:42] So you'll actually be able to dogfight in it.

[00:40:45] Which would be, is going to be kind of fun.

[00:40:47] That's very fun.

[00:40:48] Very cool.

[00:40:49] You know, that could be fun.

[00:40:52] You know, it's the first ever open world Star Wars game.

[00:40:56] That they're claiming is open world.

[00:40:58] But I, if I think back though, I mean, you still had some exploratory

[00:41:03] areas for Shadow of the Empire and.

[00:41:07] Also, the Empire and like, I just think that I would need you to actually

[00:41:14] well, I need you to watch either the first or second trailer.

[00:41:18] But it's funny you mentioned that I, I feel like one of the characters

[00:41:23] that made an appearance in the trailer.

[00:41:26] I think came from Shadow of Empire, the game.

[00:41:29] Well, so they're calling us first experience of first they're

[00:41:32] saying experience first ever open world Star Wars game set

[00:41:36] between the events of Empire Sharks back in return as Jedi.

[00:41:39] So they could be basically saying this is the first open world

[00:41:41] game set in that timeline.

[00:41:43] I think it's just poorly worded, you know, how their

[00:41:46] right, you know, communication going on.

[00:41:50] But you know, Shadow of the Empire is leads into Empire.

[00:41:57] So yeah, this would be the first real one set between that timeline.

[00:42:03] But just let me know because I swear, I think one of the

[00:42:09] characters that the main character of Outlaws was was speaking to

[00:42:13] the main character of Shadow that we that you played as

[00:42:17] Dash render.

[00:42:18] Yeah, yeah.

[00:42:19] So yeah, you have to let me know when you when you take a look at

[00:42:25] it and take a gander.

[00:42:27] I'm looking at it right now.

[00:42:29] As we talk about it, right?

[00:42:31] I've got Twitter pulled up and I'm looking at the I'm

[00:42:33] looking at it right now.

[00:42:34] But so they look heavily like close to I do.

[00:42:41] I do hope this is the one of those games for Ubisoft that does

[00:42:44] well that they don't have to put on sale.

[00:42:47] They sell like right away because we all know I mean, the

[00:42:51] joke is it will guarantee it will be on sale.

[00:42:58] Like it's Ubisoft.

[00:43:00] That's how they sell their games.

[00:43:02] Yeah.

[00:43:03] And I don't want that for Julian, right?

[00:43:04] Julian is a great guy.

[00:43:05] I hope he produces great games.

[00:43:07] I hope it does.

[00:43:08] I honestly hope it does great because it does.

[00:43:10] It looks great.

[00:43:11] I'm kind of hyped on it.

[00:43:12] I'm definitely going to put a pre-order on it.

[00:43:14] Yeah.

[00:43:15] Oh, yeah.

[00:43:16] A lot of people, you know, if you are into the into the

[00:43:21] was like the group.

[00:43:23] So I mean, like if you if you're a Star Wars fan, you're

[00:43:26] going to get it and that's okay.

[00:43:28] You know, that's fine.

[00:43:29] I support you 100 percent, you know, just like how I

[00:43:32] always just get Final Fantasy doesn't matter if you

[00:43:35] know, I just get him because that's true.

[00:43:37] Atlas games.

[00:43:38] I love Atlas.

[00:43:39] So that's right.

[00:43:40] I am.

[00:43:41] But I am a be on sale cool beans.

[00:43:46] But Ubisoft.

[00:43:48] I'm not one where like I need to get this right away.

[00:43:51] You know, I'll just wait for it till Black Friday.

[00:43:55] And I think that's the thing is like, you know, for

[00:43:59] movie, softest trained us right to always already

[00:44:02] go, hey, wait like two months and things going to be

[00:44:04] on sale.

[00:44:05] And like I don't want that for Julian and that depth.

[00:44:08] Plus, yeah.

[00:44:09] And I'm not going to do that because I'll get a day of

[00:44:12] like I am a massive fan.

[00:44:15] Yeah.

[00:44:16] You know, I mean, I'd say how many hours have I put

[00:44:19] into division over the years?

[00:44:21] I miss that man.

[00:44:23] I missed that.

[00:44:24] I have it.

[00:44:25] I still have it installed.

[00:44:26] I am I've been twitching of maybe firing it back up

[00:44:30] just to go back into the world at the division,

[00:44:31] fire my agent again.

[00:44:33] But there's other things that are on my plate right now

[00:44:35] that I'm playing and wanting to play and catch up on

[00:44:38] that quote unquote backlog, you know, so to speak.

[00:44:41] The four hour backlog.

[00:44:42] You know.

[00:44:44] So I haven't seen anything come out as far as what

[00:44:49] is going to be available for pre-orders.

[00:44:52] Even though you can pre-order it right now.

[00:44:56] I wonder if PlayStation.com has pre-order bonuses yet for it.

[00:45:04] But it'll be.

[00:45:07] I really hope it does well, you know, for Ube's sake and Julian

[00:45:11] and massive and but we all know it does have the

[00:45:15] possibility of not doing really great.

[00:45:21] You know.

[00:45:23] So.

[00:45:25] All right, so PlayStation store only has the availability

[00:45:28] to add it to your wish list.

[00:45:30] They don't have anything announced for.

[00:45:34] Pre-order bonuses which I think is really weird because

[00:45:37] the game comes out in four months.

[00:45:40] Usually four months out, you know what your pre-order

[00:45:42] bonuses are going to be.

[00:45:44] So, you know, we'll see.

[00:45:48] So speaking of backlog, Jerry, which one?

[00:45:53] Oh, yeah.

[00:45:55] Let's see the same pretty much just hidden final fantasy.

[00:46:01] I've been very consistent.

[00:46:03] So, yeah, I'm in the like a theme park area.

[00:46:07] Gold saucer.

[00:46:08] Gold saucer.

[00:46:09] Yep.

[00:46:10] Yep.

[00:46:11] So I'm good.

[00:46:12] A lot of your.

[00:46:13] Okay.

[00:46:14] Yep.

[00:46:15] We just Jerry just got himself fired.

[00:46:17] Well, you know what?

[00:46:18] It's all right.

[00:46:19] I'm taking my time.

[00:46:20] I'm a square guy.

[00:46:21] It's okay.

[00:46:22] Hey, square your next by the way.

[00:46:23] If you're listening.

[00:46:24] I am a square guy, but I'm a specific final fantasy.

[00:46:27] I'll do work.

[00:46:28] Yeah.

[00:46:29] I'm not a heavy fan.

[00:46:30] You're right.

[00:46:31] You're right.

[00:46:32] I'm a specific fan.

[00:46:33] But that's it.

[00:46:34] And then.

[00:46:35] Hold on.

[00:46:36] You're a specific fan of what?

[00:46:37] Final Fantasy.

[00:46:41] But yeah.

[00:46:42] Jason.

[00:46:43] Yep.

[00:46:44] J.

[00:46:45] Is this guy?

[00:46:46] The numbers?

[00:46:47] Yeah.

[00:46:48] I don't know.

[00:46:49] I'll take my time.

[00:46:50] You're a big fan of the game.

[00:46:52] Seven or eight?

[00:46:53] Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:46:54] But you know,

[00:46:55] you'd like to have a big firm.

[00:46:56] You want to have that title, you know,

[00:46:57] but you're all going to have to say it's not cut out.

[00:46:59] The games,

[00:47:00] I'm playing the game for our fans.

[00:47:01] Um,

[00:47:04] Like I have a watch on the PC.

[00:47:05] You know,

[00:47:06] But if you even want to get a screen there,

[00:47:07] the sports are gonna flip over,

[00:47:08] you know,

[00:47:09] The

[00:47:10] stuff I'm talking about is really,

[00:47:11] uh,

[00:47:12] Yes,

[00:47:13] I'm not a huge fan. I've I've done seven seven. I mean, we all know that anyway.

[00:47:18] But we honestly, but let's I mean,

[00:47:21] we didn't get the amount of time in in Gold Saucer and seven that we did in Rebirth. Let's be honest.

[00:47:29] Well, I'm still exploring that, but oh dude, there's so much.

[00:47:33] Yeah, there's a lot to do. So I'm that's where I'm at in the game. And then of course,

[00:47:37] I'm fighting for democracy. Helldivers too. It's it's the update and it's so great. Joel fucked

[00:47:44] everybody. Joel Joel Joel. Joel Joel. Praise the like he is dude. He's angry. So he let

[00:47:55] he let the entire Atonautons what you thought were the entire Atonautons get wiped out. Yeah.

[00:48:02] And while everybody's celebrating, he just drops the bomb that oh by the way,

[00:48:06] that's just a vanguard unit. This is the rest of the fleet coming out. Snake attack. Yeah. So

[00:48:12] props to that team. Oh, dude. Absolute props to that. They're so they lean so into the

[00:48:20] like the jokes from the fans. No, like they like they really like they're doing it.

[00:48:26] They're consistently doing it well and and rightfully so. Like just they're handling

[00:48:33] everything like with the fans and with the players, you know, there was a few toxic

[00:48:39] there was a bit toxicity playing online when you know if you didn't have a certain build. So

[00:48:44] you know what they did? They re altered the guns. Boom. So now back to everyone just having fun

[00:48:52] like it's great. So yeah, it is. So but yeah, so that's that's what I've been doing.

[00:49:00] Jason.

[00:49:05] More more shows. I mean, just been watching shows just kicking it. I am I am on the verge of purchasing

[00:49:13] Helldivers as well my joint fight for democracy, bro. Oh, please. No, when you do baby. Oh,

[00:49:20] dude, it is it is right there like it's oh my god. It's not like dude, we have a little bit

[00:49:26] troopers all day. It's so funny. Oh, dude, I have my coworkers are coming out to me even

[00:49:33] they're like, bro, have you joined the fight for democracy? It's so great. And I like, bro,

[00:49:39] but I have like family members or not family members, but like friends and stuff like that.

[00:49:46] They're like, Hey, like do you fight? Do you join the fight for democracy?

[00:49:50] Do you join the fight? Yeah, dude, it's so great. So I am I'm I'm probably going to pick that up very

[00:49:57] soon. But yeah, other than that, like it's just been I've been quite busy lately. So,

[00:50:04] you know, just trying to find some time play some free games, you know, catching whatever

[00:50:11] whatever I can, like the backlog is for real. Just trying to

[00:50:15] play some like games that are on my phone, you know, like I've been playing chess a little bit more.

[00:50:22] So I am terrible at it. I have I will not lie to people and be like, Oh, yeah,

[00:50:27] no, I've been playing chess for now. I am terrible at it. But I still have fun because all I do

[00:50:31] is bullet games one minute, man. It's all I got time. It's all I got time for one minute

[00:50:36] bullet games. And I lose like I lose like 75% of the time. But when I do when I'm like hell,

[00:50:41] yeah. Oh, sweet. Yeah. Got him. Nice. Matt. And Matt. I have now started hitting that backlog.

[00:50:53] I've started chapter 11 on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Sweet. I am heading on over to Nebelheim.

[00:51:03] Oh, cool. And it is great just hearing that Nebelheim music playing the whole time.

[00:51:08] It's great. Like it's bringing back some memory. Speaking of which, been wanting to ask you

[00:51:14] how have you been? Have you been enjoying Queens? I fucking love Queens blood. Queens love it.

[00:51:21] Like I used to crack out. It's quite fun. I love Triple Triad. That was like my jam,

[00:51:26] like for the card game and stuff. I love Queens blood. I have a deck built now that is

[00:51:32] I was going to ask how you get it to play right. It is a monstrosity.

[00:51:37] You have to show me what your deck is too. I will all card. When I jump into it next,

[00:51:42] I'll send you a screenshot. Yeah, I'll just take a picture of it and send it to you.

[00:51:46] Because I've got creatures that allow me like to replace cards that I already have on the board

[00:51:51] to make other stuff stronger. Like it's replacement cards. I have a couple in there

[00:51:56] that do minus two to the enemy right in front of, you know, the opposing card right

[00:52:00] in front of them. And it takes over that space. So it allows me to kind of expand

[00:52:03] and move further into their territory. I kind of had a feeling you'd like the game,

[00:52:08] but I was just wondering. I love it. I love Queens blood. It's fun. It is fun.

[00:52:12] I just beat Regina again. So, you know, when you do the card tournament on the ship from

[00:52:21] the Shinra 8, so you face her again as part of the Queens blood storyline.

[00:52:27] And I've just, I just beat her. And it wasn't even close. Like she, she gave me a run for the money

[00:52:35] in the Shinra 8 tournament. But this, this summer round, I stomped a mud hole in her.

[00:52:41] Like we're talking what was it? 45 to zero?

[00:52:47] Dang. Oh, it took all three rows. She had four cards on the board. I had everything else.

[00:52:54] So, um, yeah. But yeah, I have my wrecking crew is I'm playing

[00:53:01] Cloud, Tifa and Aerith as my crew right now. And that's pretty much my main cloud and Tifa.

[00:53:07] If I get them going man, it is stagger. It is basically like my 13, you know,

[00:53:14] focusing on a lot of Tifa's staggering abilities as well. Unlocking them is she was

[00:53:21] I remember that was all her, that was your best thing.

[00:53:24] And then I am working on MLB the show.

[00:53:27] Um, I, um, I am five and five right now with my season.

[00:53:33] Oh, okay. Cool.

[00:53:34] Do you have a real life? That's good. That's good.

[00:53:36] Uh, a little bit better than real life. And I've only made, you'd be proud of me.

[00:53:40] I've only made a couple of trades.

[00:53:44] Oh, okay.

[00:53:44] It wasn't to stack the team. I just went back and got a couple of old players

[00:53:48] that I miss being on the Rockies. Um, Carlos Estevez, who's, uh, went to the Angels and then

[00:53:55] I remember where he's playing now. He's my closer. And then when it got Garrett Hampson

[00:53:59] back, um, he's Kansas City currently, that's it. Like I've kept everybody that I started with.

[00:54:04] So I'm trying to do this season as close to not stacking the deck as possible. And,

[00:54:11] you know what?

[00:54:12] That's off to, um, San Diego studio, the AI on the pitchers this time is way fucking better.

[00:54:20] Um, and the umpireing is just as makes me just as mad as real life baseball.

[00:54:27] So, um, yeah. So that's, that's been pretty much it. Um, and then you know,

[00:54:34] when I'm not playing, I've been watching Star Trek discovery. I am now halfway through

[00:54:40] season three already. So I was like through like a full like season and a half in the

[00:54:45] last week. Because the new season is getting ready to start streaming if it hasn't already

[00:54:50] started. So I think what I'm going to do is I'm going to get through tomorrow, download

[00:54:55] a bunch of episodes onto my iPad and watch them on the plane for my trip to South Carolina

[00:54:59] on Thursday.

[00:55:00] Sweet.

[00:55:01] So I can keep on watching and whatnot.

[00:55:04] And let us know when you when you board dude and get home and get.

[00:55:09] Oh, you guys will all be you guys will be sleeping.

[00:55:13] Not really.

[00:55:14] Well, Jay, you might not be Jerry. I know will because my flight leaves Denver at 645.

[00:55:21] Oh, no, I might be up.

[00:55:26] Oh, I'll be asleep.

[00:55:27] You'll be up at 530 in the morning.

[00:55:29] I might be. Yeah.

[00:55:30] Yeah.

[00:55:31] And then it's a it's a long day. I literally fly into Charlotte drive down to Columbia

[00:55:38] watch my, you know, do senior night and watch my daughter's last game for La Crosse.

[00:55:42] Sweet.

[00:55:43] Turn around drive back up to Charlotte sleep. Get up at five o'clock in the or like 430 in

[00:55:48] the morning to head to the airport from catch my 730 flight.

[00:55:51] Mmm.

[00:55:52] Oh, yeah.

[00:55:53] It's a quick good old turn around.

[00:55:57] Well, here's the things we did is shorter because my daughter graduates next month.

[00:56:01] So oh, you know, because she graduates right after Memorial Day that Wednesday.

[00:56:08] Yeah.

[00:56:09] So I'm sure.

[00:56:10] So and

[00:56:11] Damn, graduation is eight o'clock in the morning.

[00:56:14] So double play in.

[00:56:16] And got him.

[00:56:18] You got it. Yeah. Got him.

[00:56:20] He got it.

[00:56:21] He got it.

[00:56:22] So we got to go to say, yeah.

[00:56:23] So that's how they get to them schools.

[00:56:26] Damn it.

[00:56:27] Well, they do it out there.

[00:56:29] How to get to that's like where I live each school does it in either at their,

[00:56:35] you know, they're on their field.

[00:56:36] Yeah. But I mean, even the time of Memorial Day, really a holiday.

[00:56:39] Yeah.

[00:56:40] You know, if you have to fly in, they do it where they use like some big,

[00:56:44] you know, big auditorium or something like in the city.

[00:56:48] So like one school day for a clock or I mean, paper parking, you know,

[00:56:51] tape, we'll see about that.

[00:56:53] But you like you have the graduation one in the morning and you have

[00:56:56] one in the afternoon at the same site.

[00:56:58] So it's just so getting in and out because yeah, time.

[00:57:02] Yeah. So traffic, no matter what.

[00:57:05] Yeah.

[00:57:06] So hopefully

[00:57:09] American is not like United and Southwest where they have parts flying off their air.

[00:57:14] Matt, Matt, Matt's going to need, Matt's going to need a lot of monster Red Bull.

[00:57:18] Oh, no, it's going to be tea.

[00:57:20] You know, I don't drink Monster and Red Bull.

[00:57:22] Got to got to worry about the ticker.

[00:57:23] Today's going to be the day.

[00:57:25] Energy drinks are not good.

[00:57:27] Energy drinks are not good for the heart.

[00:57:30] I need that hit.

[00:57:31] I need to be.

[00:57:32] God, I'm going to be like Starbucks at the airport.

[00:57:34] Yeah, it's on the way.

[00:57:36] Oh, you know, God, yeah.

[00:57:38] That's going to be a flood.

[00:57:39] That's going to be a just a little bit bro.

[00:57:41] Yeah.

[00:57:41] Where she are.

[00:57:42] Yeah.

[00:57:43] So definitely let us know how it goes and how everything, you know,

[00:57:48] make sure you're safe and oh yeah.

[00:57:50] Yeah.

[00:57:51] But for everybody else, thank you for crashing game night with us.

[00:57:56] You know, for those who jumped in the chat, we're lurking in the background.

[00:58:20] You want us on the couch again?

[00:58:21] We still need a, we still need another couch.

[00:58:23] Hey, hey, stop it.

[00:58:24] Stop it.

[00:58:25] You need to go.

[00:58:26] He's he's on the look.

[00:58:27] Yeah, you're shopping right now.

[00:58:28] Shopping right now, man.

[00:58:29] I got to make sure.

[00:58:30] It's got to tie in what the, you know, it's got to check in samples.

[00:58:34] You know, you're testing them out.

[00:58:36] Yeah.

[00:58:37] There's some good ones at Costco.

[00:58:40] Um, yeah, we gotta have some good cushion.

[00:58:43] You know, you know, anyways, um, you know, I feel like matured though.

[00:58:47] So, you know, make sure to drop us follow here on Twitch and on over

[00:58:52] Check out all the platforms we're carried on from an audio

[00:58:54] perspective and our past episodes.

[00:58:57] And just right now, everybody with everything that's going on in the world

[00:59:02] between, you know, we have the tsunamis and the earthquakes.

[00:59:05] I mean, heck, we had an earthquake just east of New York City.

[00:59:08] That was a 4.9 this week.

[00:59:10] That's area that doesn't usually get earthquakes.

[00:59:13] Um, just everyone please be excellent to each other.

[00:59:19] That's right.

[00:59:20] All my nerds.

[00:59:21] Uh, let's just be cool and let's uh, once again.

[00:59:25] Spread the same kind of message that we always spread.

[00:59:28] Uh, let's try and be, uh, practice a little bit more patience, a little

[00:59:32] bit more compassion.

[00:59:33] Let's try to lend a hand here and there if you see someone is

[00:59:38] struggling, if they need a little help.

[00:59:40] Um, let's overall just try to do and be better.

[00:59:45] And, uh, you know, like be safe out there and just help when

[00:59:50] you can.

[00:59:51] And, uh, let's just spread a little bit more kindness and joy.

[00:59:55] And, uh, yeah, be safe out there.

[00:59:57] Jay Rock.

[00:59:59] Yeah guys.

[01:00:00] I mean, uh, first and foremost, hopefully everybody has done your taxes

[01:00:04] because by the time we see you guys next time, you guys are a

[01:00:08] little bit late.

[01:00:09] So please make sure you forget to do your taxes this year.

[01:00:12] You know, don't get, don't get audited.

[01:00:14] It's not cool.
