On this 300th episode of the podcast, past guests Tony Polanco and Arielle Danan crash game night to celebrate this milestone while discussing the PS5 Pro, the state of the gaming industry, and the Nintendo Black Friday promotions.

[00:00:07] And with that, I want to welcome everybody to the 300th episode of Crashing Game Night.

[00:00:15] My name is Matt DiOrio, your host as always. We are joined by two familiar faces to this show.

[00:00:36] We have host of the Throwdown Show, the immaculate one, Tony Polanco.

[00:00:44] What's going on people? Episode 300, let's go! Tony T! Tony T, baby!

[00:00:50] And also, Arielle Danan, also known as the Huggable Hipster.

[00:00:55] Hi. There she is. How you doing? How's everybody doing? How we doing? How you doing?

[00:01:03] It's nice not to be outnumbered anymore, the New Yorker on here.

[00:01:08] And then we got the beanieed one, Gerard Brewer.

[00:01:11] How's it going all my nerds out there? The big 300. This is a big one. Yeah, let's nerd out, let's talk.

[00:01:20] We got some great guests here today. Amazing. Thank you for joining again and we missed you guys.

[00:01:26] Thanks for hanging. Did you take my line? It's okay.

[00:01:29] I didn't take your line, what are you talking about?

[00:01:31] How's it going? Okay.

[00:01:32] I always take my line. You're always blaming me on everything.

[00:01:35] Hey children, stop being last then, Jason.

[00:01:41] Beak up.

[00:01:42] Alright, we'll get to it.

[00:01:43] Get off the rails, that's what we do, sir.

[00:01:45] That's what we do.

[00:01:46] You know what, we got our maitre d'as services, the man with the couch, the man, the myth, the legend, the lion's mane, Jason.

[00:01:51] Quality of water. How's it going guys? How's it going?

[00:01:54] Actually, you know what? I'm sorry if Jason took my line. What's going on nerds? How's it going tonight?

[00:01:59] Nerds.

[00:02:00] And then the baby face one, the Owoski.

[00:02:03] Fresh baby face too. I actually shaved in like three weeks even though you could barely see anything.

[00:02:09] Three strands on the face, that's about it.

[00:02:12] Well, he's very different.

[00:02:14] So we got it.

[00:02:15] Oh, thanks. Yeah.

[00:02:16] It's just this little shit.

[00:02:18] Oh.

[00:02:18] It's non-existent?

[00:02:19] Yeah.

[00:02:19] I got you.

[00:02:20] So just give a heads up, folks, we all know this crashed in game night.

[00:02:23] We may have a couple people dropping in and out tonight, depending on what time they all get home and stuff.

[00:02:28] But we got some catching up to do with Tony and Ariel because we're talking about this before the show.

[00:02:35] The last time they were on the show actually happened to be the same episode, which was episode two fifty four.

[00:02:41] Wow.

[00:02:42] Wow.

[00:02:42] And it ended up being titled because we renamed it halfway through the show.

[00:02:46] It was the hot takes episode.

[00:02:48] And that's all it was.

[00:02:50] We were just doing hot takes and it was great.

[00:02:59] Right.

[00:03:00] And then two fifty four.

[00:03:02] Yeah, man, you've been there for.

[00:03:04] So he's been out for almost the entire time.

[00:03:06] Yeah.

[00:03:07] And then.

[00:03:08] Yeah, for sure.

[00:03:09] It's awesome.

[00:03:10] So I guess I got to be back for three fifty and then four hundred.

[00:03:13] Like, yeah.

[00:03:14] Yeah.

[00:03:14] At a minimum.

[00:03:16] You know?

[00:03:16] Yeah.

[00:03:17] A great way to not miss that is you just join us every week from now on.

[00:03:22] Yeah, he's got a show.

[00:03:24] He's got a show.

[00:03:25] He's got a two too.

[00:03:26] You know?

[00:03:27] That's funny.

[00:03:27] Yeah, exactly.

[00:03:28] Those Tuesdays and Thursdays open.

[00:03:30] Yeah.

[00:03:30] Sprite.

[00:03:32] And then Ariel has been on two oh two two forty seven and two fifty four.

[00:03:35] So she's been here for the last two milestones.

[00:03:39] You guys have been busy.

[00:03:41] Yeah.

[00:03:42] Yeah.

[00:03:43] I've had some.

[00:03:45] Oh, my gosh.

[00:03:46] I've been following your posts.

[00:03:48] You've been killing it with with the playing the game, playing your games.

[00:03:52] And I've loved it.

[00:03:53] I've been loving your choices.

[00:03:54] So I've been just been following you.

[00:03:56] I've been loving it.

[00:03:57] It's been great content.

[00:03:59] Yeah.

[00:04:00] So, Tony, how is the new gig going for you?

[00:04:03] Yeah, it's funny because the new gig.

[00:04:06] It's like three years now.

[00:04:08] Tom's guide, you know?

[00:04:10] Yeah.

[00:04:10] Oh, wow.

[00:04:11] So yeah, you're on the you're really doing the game, the PC side and whatnot.

[00:04:15] And you're doing MacBook reviews and everything else.

[00:04:20] How's that nice?

[00:04:20] How's that treat?

[00:04:21] Yeah.

[00:04:21] I mean, I mean, that's the kind of that's actually my main core job because I'm a computing

[00:04:26] writer for Tom's guide.

[00:04:27] The gaming stuff is actually this thing I do on the side.

[00:04:30] And just because I've seen.

[00:04:31] Yeah.

[00:04:32] I just because I've it's because I have so much seniority.

[00:04:34] I have to just do it.

[00:04:35] But no, gaming is actually not my main beat.

[00:04:38] It's actually computing.

[00:04:39] So, yeah, I like, dude, the last like, like, I think month and a half has been insane for

[00:04:44] products.

[00:04:45] I had to review the new Kindle Color Soft, had to review the Mac, the iPad Mini, the MacBook.

[00:04:52] And obviously, the one we're probably going to talk about the PS, PS5 Pro.

[00:04:57] So, oh, nice.

[00:04:58] Nice.

[00:04:59] I've been on a tear, but maybe, maybe.

[00:05:02] And just maybe.

[00:05:03] Maybe we'll see.

[00:05:04] I do have to say this to a fellow Spectre.

[00:05:08] Happy in seven day.

[00:05:09] You already.

[00:05:10] Yes, son.

[00:05:11] Let's go.

[00:05:11] I always rock it.

[00:05:13] And it's one of those happens like if you know, you know, because it's not in your face.

[00:05:16] Oh, yeah.

[00:05:17] You know, you know.

[00:05:18] Yeah.

[00:05:18] But I do have, you know, Shepard's hoodie.

[00:05:20] So like, you know, with the red, with the red and everything.

[00:05:23] I am the same.

[00:05:24] I have a single patch that I always have on my backpack and every once in a while someone's

[00:05:28] like, hey, N7.

[00:05:29] Like, oh, sweet.

[00:05:30] I have a black bomber jacket that I wear the N7 key chain that was more like a pull tab

[00:05:36] on bomber jackets that's right there on the side.

[00:05:38] Nice.

[00:05:38] I'll tell you this, man.

[00:05:40] Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but I'll say it.

[00:05:41] There was one time where this hat got me through security at an airport.

[00:05:46] It goes like, oh man, Mass Effect.

[00:05:48] Go ahead.

[00:05:49] No way.

[00:05:50] That's amazing.

[00:05:52] Wow.

[00:05:52] I did.

[00:05:54] That's so great.

[00:05:55] I did send you, did I send you the pictures from when I went to Fan Expo here in Denver

[00:05:59] over the summer?

[00:06:00] I believe you did.

[00:06:01] Yes.

[00:06:01] With the art book signed by all three of them.

[00:06:04] Yeah.

[00:06:05] And then.

[00:06:06] Talk about a bro moment though, right there.

[00:06:08] Yeah.

[00:06:08] That's pretty awesome.

[00:06:09] Mass Effect.

[00:06:10] Yeah.

[00:06:10] Yes.

[00:06:11] Mass Effect.

[00:06:11] That's the way it is, man.

[00:06:12] I'm actually going to be playing that game for the first time.

[00:06:14] The very first one.

[00:06:15] Let's go.

[00:06:16] Nice.

[00:06:17] I still have not played.

[00:06:17] Well, you have two super fans of it.

[00:06:22] You know, Mass Effect that if you have questions, absolutely.

[00:06:26] Mass Effect is life.

[00:06:27] You're going to be dreaming in conversation wheels.

[00:06:30] I guarantee you that.

[00:06:31] Yes.

[00:06:31] That happened to us.

[00:06:32] You know.

[00:06:33] That's what happened to me when I played Halo 1 for the first time.

[00:06:35] I was like, what's happening here?

[00:06:37] Why am I seeing the halo dude in my dreams right now?

[00:06:41] It happens.

[00:06:43] He's just like, you will just wake up right now.

[00:06:46] Just wake up.

[00:06:47] Okay.

[00:06:48] Harold, you've had a year.

[00:06:49] Yeah.

[00:06:50] And half.

[00:06:52] To be honest statement.

[00:06:54] Why don't you catch up everybody else up on the shenanigans you've been up to?

[00:06:59] So, first of all, I just want to say I kind of look like Monica Lewinsky on pink right

[00:07:03] now.

[00:07:04] You know, I wanted to wear something special for the 300, you know?

[00:07:08] Oh, I'm loving it.

[00:07:09] So, but yeah, it's been absolutely fucking bonkers of a year because not only was I vouched

[00:07:16] for to send a key due for Dragon Age Veil Guard.

[00:07:19] So, EA and Bioware got around to sending me that, which I have the absolute humbling opportunity

[00:07:25] to get to review.

[00:07:25] I'm so excited about that.

[00:07:27] I just did a review that came out for, whatchamacallit, the, it's not remastered.

[00:07:33] Someone had to correct me on that.

[00:07:35] The PC ports for Resident Evil Trilogy 1, 2, and 3.

[00:07:39] Capcom sent those over for a review.

[00:07:41] And I was able to have Nick Apostolidis in the review, who does the voice of Leon Kennedy.

[00:07:47] So, I was so happy about that.

[00:07:50] Like, he's such a cool dude.

[00:07:52] Like, he's literally just a gaming nerd at heart and I absolutely love it.

[00:07:55] But yeah, it was so cool to get to do that.

[00:07:58] I've been doing Souls and Souls-like content and been moving over to Blue Sky because I

[00:08:03] said goodbye to Twitter today besides like posting updates and everything.

[00:08:07] I'm not going to be much on Twitter anymore.

[00:08:09] So.

[00:08:09] That's fair.

[00:08:10] Okay.

[00:08:11] Yeah.

[00:08:11] Which, we'll just segue really quick.

[00:08:14] There's only so many platforms that you want to post on anyways.

[00:08:18] Oh yeah.

[00:08:18] Sometimes it's just, it's tiring.

[00:08:20] And plus, I mean, I don't, I mean this in a way like, cause comedy is kind of like how

[00:08:24] Chandler is in Friends is a way to like deal with the situation.

[00:08:27] There's only so many death threats I can get per day.

[00:08:30] Like, I don't want to do that anymore.

[00:08:32] Yeah.

[00:08:32] That's fair.

[00:08:33] Don't want to deal with it.

[00:08:35] And we can segue to that super quick is that I have, I'm now on Blue Sky and the podcast

[00:08:41] now has a profile over on Blue Sky as well.

[00:08:46] Very nice.

[00:08:48] Yeah.

[00:08:48] Everyone's moving over to where the sky is blue.

[00:08:50] Like I love it.

[00:08:52] Yeah.

[00:08:52] Yeah.

[00:08:53] First it was thread.

[00:08:54] First it was threads.

[00:08:55] And then, then it was, you know, that's starting to see the toxicity now starting to

[00:08:59] show up from, from X land and whatnot.

[00:09:03] So, I mean, I think Tony's got the right approach in some cases just, Oh, I'm going

[00:09:07] down with the ship.

[00:09:08] Go down with the ship.

[00:09:09] I'm not moving because, cause I've seen this before.

[00:09:11] The same people that are going to Blue Sky now in a week or two are going to be right

[00:09:15] back on Twitter.

[00:09:16] Like we saw this happen already.

[00:09:18] So, um, I'm like, I'm going down with the ship, bro.

[00:09:21] I'm good.

[00:09:21] I kind of want to see which one.

[00:09:23] I can say is consistent because yeah, like you just mentioned the threads and the other

[00:09:28] socials that they were trying to move, you know, transition over to, I'm going to wait

[00:09:33] and see which one sticks.

[00:09:35] And then I'm going to, I'll, I'll, I'll move over if I want to.

[00:09:40] Yeah.

[00:09:40] I'm not, I'm, I'm good.

[00:09:42] Like if Twitter goes down, I'm done with social media because it'll give you my excuse

[00:09:45] to leave because social media has been horrible.

[00:09:48] That's such a great excuse.

[00:09:49] Like that.

[00:09:50] I do applaud that.

[00:09:51] Like, yeah, stick with it.

[00:09:53] And if it dies, Oh, you know what?

[00:09:54] I'm done too.

[00:09:55] I'm done.

[00:09:56] That's my plan.

[00:09:57] I'm like, if Twitter dies, I'm done.

[00:09:58] I'm really, really done.

[00:10:00] You know?

[00:10:01] Go ahead.

[00:10:02] And plus the thing about that is that everybody that you care about has your number.

[00:10:06] So you're not losing any contacts anyway with anyone.

[00:10:09] Yeah, exactly.

[00:10:09] And I'm still, you know, doing my, my content on Tom's guide.

[00:10:12] So doing throw down.

[00:10:14] So I'm good.

[00:10:15] You know, I, like I've gotten to a point where I don't need that, that platform to promote

[00:10:19] myself anymore.

[00:10:20] You know?

[00:10:20] Yeah.

[00:10:22] Now, Ariel, was it windows magazine that you were writing for?

[00:10:27] Windows central.

[00:10:28] Windows central.

[00:10:29] So yeah, you were doing some articles for windows central.

[00:10:32] Yeah.

[00:10:32] I did videos and articles for windows central.

[00:10:34] And then I also got with my other fellow game informer employees.

[00:10:40] We all got laid off of game informer, which was lovely to go through.

[00:10:44] I say sarcastically.

[00:10:45] Um, but it, it was an interesting time because I, I, ironically enough, I found that I was

[00:10:50] in Michael's craft store with my mom and I opened up Twitter.

[00:10:53] I'm like, since when were we all canned?

[00:10:55] What happened here?

[00:10:57] Oh man.

[00:10:58] Which we did an episode about that.

[00:11:01] Like when they announced not only was game of four were closing, but then by the

[00:11:06] way, we're also going to be doing graded cards.

[00:11:09] I was like, so wait, you laid off an entire staff in a magazine that everybody actually

[00:11:13] cared about to do trading.

[00:11:16] That's so wild.

[00:11:17] Cause, uh, I, when I went to go pick up, I went to go pick up a game a few days ago

[00:11:21] and, um, I was in line, but in two people, the two people in front of me were picking

[00:11:27] up like a stack of graded cards.

[00:11:30] I just like, wow, that's so weird.

[00:11:33] That was just so weird to me.

[00:11:35] Like, okay.

[00:11:36] At GameStop.

[00:11:36] Okay.

[00:11:37] Yeah.

[00:11:38] That's crazy.

[00:11:38] It's time to change, you know, kind of a little bit.

[00:11:44] So Tony, I gotta ask you.

[00:11:45] Yeah.

[00:11:45] You brought up the PS five pro.

[00:11:48] What are your thoughts?

[00:11:49] Is it really that worth it right now?

[00:11:53] Okay.

[00:11:53] Can you talk about it?

[00:11:55] Oh, no, no.

[00:11:55] The embargo is lifted.

[00:11:56] We're good.

[00:11:57] I mean, you know, we could buy it.

[00:11:58] I also don't want to like, uh, mess with your, your articles or anything like that.

[00:12:02] Oh no, it's all done, bro.

[00:12:04] Yeah.

[00:12:05] Yeah.

[00:12:06] Like, you know, it's kind of interesting.

[00:12:08] Um, I actually didn't do the, the written review.

[00:12:11] Um, one of, one of the guys who's been covering PS five for like as long before I even got

[00:12:17] there, he, uh, pled his case for why you should review it.

[00:12:20] I'm like, yeah, go ahead.

[00:12:20] So that freed me up to just do videos on it.

[00:12:24] Um, and supporting content.

[00:12:26] Um, so I pretty much did a video review.

[00:12:28] If you guys saw it, uh, Tom's guide, um, YouTube channel, I pretty much did a review of it.

[00:12:32] So, you know, the heart of it is if you are a hardcore PlayStation guy, you don't have a PC, you don't have an Xbox.

[00:12:40] All you do is play on PlayStation and you want the best possible graphics and you have a TV that can support this stuff.

[00:12:47] So about 120 Hertz VR support.

[00:12:50] Yeah, it's worth it.

[00:12:51] If you're like a hardcore PlayStation guy, absolutely.

[00:12:56] But if you're more of a casual PlayStation person, right.

[00:13:00] And I, or intermediate, and I don't want to, you know, casual kind of mean something bad with the game.

[00:13:04] But if you're like an intermediate, like, you know, regular person, this is a regular person.

[00:13:09] Or you have a gaming PC or steam deck or whatever.

[00:13:13] Then you are, you're going to be fine.

[00:13:15] You're like, you can sit with your PS five.

[00:13:17] It's fine.

[00:13:17] And to prove that point, um, last weekend, you know, when I was testing it out, I had one of my friends staying over.

[00:13:24] Uh, it was kind of crazy.

[00:13:25] It's like last week was one of the craziest weeks I've ever had, but I also had two concerts to go to.

[00:13:29] So it was like a nice break.

[00:13:30] So my friend was staying with me that week because we're going, he lives in Pennsylvania.

[00:13:34] He was staying over.

[00:13:35] So we were just testing at the PS five.

[00:13:37] Well, what I purposely was I had both the regular PS five and the PS five pro on, and we would switch back and forth between the games.

[00:13:43] And the thing.

[00:13:44] Yeah.

[00:13:44] And the thing we consistently kept saying was, man, the regular PS five looks good.

[00:13:51] Yeah.

[00:13:53] So the point is, it's like, you know, if you ever, if you're just a regular place in gamer, you know, a regular gamer, you're fine with your PS five.

[00:14:01] But if you are that mega hardcore placing guy, get it.

[00:14:04] You know, um, I do want to talk about some things that surprised me because Mark Cerny, and you guys correct me if I'm wrong here.

[00:14:12] I remember him saying, you will no longer have to choose between fidelity and performance.

[00:14:17] I remember him saying that.

[00:14:18] I remember that.

[00:14:19] Yeah.

[00:14:20] Yeah.

[00:14:20] Yeah.

[00:14:20] So I find it very interesting that the instant I get into options, all of a sudden there's a fidelity pro mode and a performance pro mode.

[00:14:28] Like, so I have to choose really interesting.

[00:14:33] Um, so that was kind of annoying.

[00:14:35] Granted, each of those modes is better than their respective equivalents on the previous one.

[00:14:41] Like basically performance pro, you get a lot of the fidelity and a graphical effects of the previous fidelity mode, but with like, you know, better for not only better frame rates that are 60, but even above 60.

[00:14:56] And some points 120 Hertz and stuff, especially if you enable, um, PSS are, which if for you, um, PC people, that's basically the equivalent of Nvidia DLSS or AMD's FSR.

[00:15:08] You know, it's like AI, AI, um, like, not AI generally, but like AI assisted frame boosting, right?

[00:15:16] Looks silky smooth.

[00:15:17] And then with fidelity pro mode in some games, you know, you get the 4k and you get close to 60, not a hundred percent 60, but here's like, for example, I was playing Spider-Man two, right?

[00:15:30] With just fidelity pro mode on and with under 20 Hertz mode and VRR off, it was 30 frames.

[00:15:38] I'm like, Oh wow.

[00:15:39] But if you toggle those on, then you're going to get it close to 60.

[00:15:44] But remember you need a right TV for that.

[00:15:47] You need a TV that can output at minimum 120 Hertz and that has VRR support.

[00:15:52] Um, so that's another thing.

[00:15:53] Even if you are a hardcore PlayStation dude, if you've got an old ass TV, don't, don't bother.

[00:15:59] Upgrade.

[00:16:00] Nope.

[00:16:00] Not gonna bother then.

[00:16:03] And I know you guys remember this.

[00:16:05] This is, it was the same deal with the PS4 pro.

[00:16:07] If you didn't have the right TV, don't bother.

[00:16:10] You know, that's why my, uh, I bought my monitor specifically when I, I got my PS4 pro.

[00:16:16] Yeah.

[00:16:17] See, there you go.

[00:16:18] Um, you know, it's a HDR 4k, like it made every use of the PS4 pro.

[00:16:24] So it's still, it's still humming along, you know, five years later, but there you go, man.

[00:16:30] But yeah, no PS5 pro.

[00:16:32] Um, it is like it objectively is the best console ever released.

[00:16:36] It's powerful, you know?

[00:16:38] Um, but again, but you have to also keep in mind, you know, $700.

[00:16:43] And what was I doing during my testing?

[00:16:46] You know how many new games I tested?

[00:16:49] Zero.

[00:16:49] There's no games for this thing.

[00:16:51] Really?

[00:16:51] No, it's all just updates stuff.

[00:16:54] So, uh, I have a question on the, on the fidelity.

[00:16:56] So since technically the pro is supposed to have both, um, really melded together.

[00:17:03] Um, do you have, do you gather, or do you feel that maybe at this point in time, it's a game specific or they're not living up to their word right now?

[00:17:15] Or, or, or, or it's maybe coming in a later date.

[00:17:18] Yeah.

[00:17:19] Uh, right now they, you know, at launch, there were 50 games that were like optimized for the PS5 pro and more games are coming.

[00:17:28] As a matter of fact, before I tested it, Final Fantasy 7 had not gotten to update.

[00:17:34] So it did get the update at launch and there's going to be more coming.

[00:17:37] Um, but, but I'm really glad you asked that question because not all games have those modes like that.

[00:17:43] For example, okay.

[00:17:45] Insomniac games, you get to choose between fidelity and performance.

[00:17:47] Right.

[00:17:48] But with the last of us, a part two remastered, there is a specific PS5 pro mode, which does blend.

[00:17:55] Oh, that blend them both together.

[00:17:57] Interesting.

[00:17:57] So that keeps it balanced.

[00:17:58] Yeah.

[00:17:59] But here's the interesting thing during my testing.

[00:18:01] I thought, cause just like the PS4 pro, if a game has unlocked frame rates, the sheer power of the machine is going to boost it up automatically.

[00:18:10] Right.

[00:18:11] So I actually found that if you're playing the last of us two remastered, it is better to play in fidelity mode at there, which is 4k.

[00:18:17] Cause the shit's still going to be 60 frames a second.

[00:18:20] Just because the PS5 pro is so powerful.

[00:18:23] Yeah.

[00:18:23] You know?

[00:18:23] So I'm like, okay.

[00:18:24] I'm like, yo, this is better.

[00:18:26] You know?

[00:18:27] Um, and also during that time, the monster hunter beta was happening.

[00:18:31] And I first started on the regular PS5 and in its fidelity mode, it was like 30 frames a second.

[00:18:37] Right.

[00:18:37] But you could tell it would go up and down and stuff, depending what's happening on.

[00:18:42] Played on the PS5 pro all of a sudden close to 60 frames.

[00:18:46] And it hasn't even been optimized.

[00:18:47] So I'm like, Ooh, what happens if they actually optimize this game?

[00:18:51] Which they probably will.

[00:18:52] Cause the game drops on in February, you know?

[00:18:54] So, so yeah, so yeah, we're going to get more games that are optimized for it.

[00:18:59] Um, and it is, again, it is objectively impressive, but it's also $700, bro.

[00:19:04] That's a lot of money.

[00:19:06] You know, that's a lot of TV plus the TV to do it with too.

[00:19:09] So yeah.

[00:19:10] Um, yeah, yeah, that's true.

[00:19:12] I'm upgrading the TV first.

[00:19:14] Yeah.

[00:19:15] Yeah.

[00:19:16] Um, now we were talking about that.

[00:19:18] It's been, you know, 46 weeks, essentially since you guys been on, um, and we've actually

[00:19:22] skipped a week or two for whatever, but early, you brought up a very good point about game

[00:19:27] informer and how you found out about that whole thing going down.

[00:19:30] So I want to get your guys' takes though on the industry as a whole right now.

[00:19:36] Well, we go, we go on hot takes part two, Matt.

[00:19:38] We're going hot takes part two right now.

[00:19:40] Hot takes.

[00:19:41] Um, I want hot takes part two.

[00:19:43] Um, no, I mean, with, with all the layoffs, with all the studio closures, um, how do you

[00:19:50] guys feel about the state of the industry as a whole right now?

[00:19:54] Hmm.

[00:19:55] I feel both pessimistic and optimistic about it because for, for two main reasons.

[00:20:01] One, I feel like as a freelancer, a lot of the industry really doesn't care about freelancers

[00:20:07] because we're very expendable and we're very much in this kind of, um, weird position of

[00:20:13] where we're making a name for ourselves still.

[00:20:15] So we don't have a permanency within the industry.

[00:20:18] I can't tell you after a game informer and everything happens, I was submitting job applications.

[00:20:24] Left, right, center to the verge to, you know, trying to get into the Washington post, trying

[00:20:29] to do everything that I can literally.

[00:20:31] I mean, even, you know, like my gosh, like I was even talking with Tony, you know, potentially

[00:20:36] like trying to get a position to work at Tom's guide because I want to be able to just get

[00:20:41] to write anywhere.

[00:20:42] Like that's my passion.

[00:20:43] It's what I love.

[00:20:44] It's what I want to do.

[00:20:45] And I feel like the way in which the industry is good is that you have progression with games.

[00:20:51] You have accessibility features that are being more progressive right now.

[00:20:55] You have different games that are coming out that are absolutely phenomenal.

[00:20:59] You have new job openings for people and new parts of the industry that we never really

[00:21:03] seen before.

[00:21:04] Um, so I feel like there's both a good and a bad to it, but it's still growing and nurturing.

[00:21:09] Keep in mind, we've only had games realistically for a little over 40 years now.

[00:21:14] It's still a new industry.

[00:21:18] Yeah.

[00:21:19] Um, my take on it is, um, I for, Oh, for many years, I was asked what's going to cause the

[00:21:28] another game crash.

[00:21:29] Right.

[00:21:30] Um, everybody remembers 1983 and all that.

[00:21:33] And I started thinking about it.

[00:21:35] I was like, Oh, I think we've been in one for the past three years.

[00:21:38] It's just been very slow.

[00:21:40] And if you want evidence 2020, 2024 is all you need.

[00:21:44] How many people have been laid off in this industry?

[00:21:46] It's gotta be like 10,000 people.

[00:21:49] Probably plus.

[00:21:50] Yeah.

[00:21:50] Yeah.

[00:21:50] It's it's so, and then you have game studios shutting down everywhere.

[00:21:55] Um, fans aren't happy.

[00:21:57] So I'm like, I think we're, we're living in the middle of the crash.

[00:21:59] So I don't think things are going to get better.

[00:22:02] And I'm going to say this now, this is going to sound really messed up, but it's just the

[00:22:07] honest truth.

[00:22:08] And I don't mean this in a mean way.

[00:22:10] I am very glad I left the game industry.

[00:22:14] Cause it looks like a, like a heap of fire, basically, you know, like it, nothing looks

[00:22:19] good.

[00:22:20] Like, you know, like you have, again, studios closing because you have these crazy budgets

[00:22:25] out of control.

[00:22:27] Um, you have these executives who, you know, are very happy to cut off their employees and

[00:22:32] then take a pay raise, you know, it's a lot of bad stuff.

[00:22:36] And, you know, and I've been complaining this entire generation about the quality of games.

[00:22:42] I know COVID affecting everything, but things are just not looking good.

[00:22:46] And I don't really know when they'll rebound.

[00:22:49] They will because gaming is just too big.

[00:22:50] Um, it's not different between now.

[00:22:54] 1983 is gaming is an established form of art.

[00:22:57] You know, it's the biggest form of entertainment.

[00:23:00] So it's not going to, what I think is going to happen is we're going to see a reduction

[00:23:04] like, and we're seeing it now, you know, um, and then it'll stabilize to something normal,

[00:23:09] you know?

[00:23:10] Um, and also I want to use it and Matt, there's something you and I talked about.

[00:23:13] Um, like off air, I have to give props.

[00:23:17] Okay.

[00:23:18] You think about you've every single company out there has had massive layoffs.

[00:23:22] So except who hasn't had one.

[00:23:26] Think about it.

[00:23:27] I'll give you a clue.

[00:23:28] You and I, you and I have talked about, and they're actually part of the subject for tonight

[00:23:31] too.

[00:23:32] Um, but yeah, you and I've talked about this at length on, on Twitter and stuff.

[00:23:36] Um, but yeah, it's the one in the, the big, uh, the big one that doesn't care about graphics

[00:23:41] as much.

[00:23:42] The big one who is about to launch a new console next year.

[00:23:46] Yeah.

[00:23:47] Nintendo.

[00:23:47] Nintendo.

[00:23:48] You know why?

[00:23:49] Because during 2020, 2021, when everybody was home buying games, studios like, Oh, this

[00:23:55] money's coming in.

[00:23:56] Let's go crazy.

[00:23:57] Let's hire all the staff.

[00:23:59] Let's do this.

[00:23:59] Is that Nintendo was like, Oh, look at all this money coming in.

[00:24:02] Okay.

[00:24:03] Put it, put it, put it to a, we're going to keep, we're going to keep, we're going

[00:24:06] to keep doing what we're doing.

[00:24:07] Put it under the mattress for a rainy day.

[00:24:09] Yeah.

[00:24:10] And Nintendo was the only smart company.

[00:24:12] Everybody, every company stupidly thought that the, that the, the good times were going to

[00:24:16] go forever.

[00:24:17] You know?

[00:24:18] Um, but Nintendo, they're the ones laughing at the end and they probably have accumulated

[00:24:22] enough money where that switch to is probably going to be a very, very nice.

[00:24:25] As a matter of fact, just people are predicting that switch to is going to cost a lot of money.

[00:24:29] I think because Nintendo made so much money, they could sell it to you for $300, you know?

[00:24:35] Well, I think about it is that like every, everything that Nintendo is doing right now,

[00:24:39] I feel like they're working towards more innovation because it does Pokemon Scarlet look like a

[00:24:45] hot mess.

[00:24:45] A lot of the time.

[00:24:46] Yeah, it does.

[00:24:47] But the graphics that we see now on tears of the kingdom that we're seeing on now newer

[00:24:52] games that are coming from Nintendo, it's looking progressively better and better.

[00:24:57] And I feel like Nintendo is that non problematic middle child that wants to do everything to

[00:25:02] make their parents happy.

[00:25:03] So what's going to happen is you guys know it's true.

[00:25:07] Well said.

[00:25:08] I mean, I, I, I, the way I always say it is that Nintendo has always been the family console.

[00:25:13] So I mean like, yeah, the six year old, the seven year olds, they're going to be able

[00:25:18] to play these games like Pokemon.

[00:25:19] It looks like it's still 2005 graphics, but it's okay because they're six years old.

[00:25:25] They're seven years old, supposedly, you know, like that they're targeting towards.

[00:25:31] And like, I mean, you're not going to see this.

[00:25:33] Oh my God, look at these blades of grass.

[00:25:35] Like as we are like at this age, they're going to be like, oh my God, I get to look at

[00:25:39] this like weird looking dinosaur thing and, or whatever it may be.

[00:25:44] I mean, come on, look at the game.

[00:25:45] I constantly am still playing.

[00:25:46] Oh, yeah.

[00:25:51] It literally is the same game on GameCube.

[00:25:53] The only difference is that it just has a new name.

[00:25:55] That's it.

[00:25:56] And it's on a different platform.

[00:25:57] Realistically, the Nintendo Switch is for those unproblematic people like us who just

[00:26:03] want to sit in bed, relax with a cup of coffee, a cup of tea, whatever your beverage of choice

[00:26:08] is and just not deal with the outside stuff for a little bit.

[00:26:12] Relax at night.

[00:26:14] Understand that the world has its own pace.

[00:26:16] We have ours.

[00:26:17] And that's okay.

[00:26:18] Because you, I say this all the time in a lot of my reviews.

[00:26:21] You don't always need the fanciest graphics.

[00:26:25] You don't always need like a high power and high energy story of a hero trying to save the day.

[00:26:30] Sometimes all you need to do is just exist in a game and exist in its world for what it is.

[00:26:36] That's it.

[00:26:37] Yep.

[00:26:38] Speaking of which, I have a question for all of you.

[00:26:41] And that's actually a good segue because in the discussions that we were having on the downfall of the gaming industry and where it's going in direction.

[00:26:53] What about the, I kind of feel like there's a constant looming rumor every year whether or not this is going to be our last console to where, you know, now every year we're kind of thinking, is this going to be the last year?

[00:27:10] Now Microsoft X, the S and X, right?

[00:27:15] Is tech possibly their last console, Microsoft's last console.

[00:27:19] What's going on with, you know, Sony's thought process now?

[00:27:23] Obviously the switch two is coming, but after that, are there plans?

[00:27:28] I was just wondering, what are your guys' thoughts?

[00:27:29] Okay.

[00:27:30] So I want to jump into that.

[00:27:32] Okay.

[00:27:32] Remember during the Activision trial or whatever, all that nonsense happened last year.

[00:27:37] Yeah.

[00:27:37] It actually, Microsoft actually admit they are working on the next Xbox, right?

[00:27:43] So they are coming out with another Xbox.

[00:27:46] And we just learned that AMD is going to be making the chip for the PlayStation 6.

[00:27:51] The chipset for it?

[00:27:52] We will be getting new consoles, but I think your question will be more pertinent the generation after that.

[00:28:00] Okay.

[00:28:00] I think, yeah.

[00:28:01] I think Nintendo will continue doing its thing.

[00:28:05] Because, you know, Nintendo is always like 20 years behind basically.

[00:28:08] And I'm not even being facetive about that.

[00:28:09] Well, no, that's kind of true.

[00:28:11] Once they find their niche, they kind of stick with it.

[00:28:13] Yeah.

[00:28:14] And they found the Switch.

[00:28:16] It works.

[00:28:17] You know, they're innovating a little bit from the leaks of the Switch 2, you know, whatever, however it's coming out.

[00:28:23] But you're right.

[00:28:24] They kind of stick with it.

[00:28:25] So, yeah.

[00:28:27] And I think...

[00:28:27] So what I think will happen is if we're going to have anyone bow out first of the console market, it will be Microsoft.

[00:28:34] Because remember, Microsoft is traditionally a software company.

[00:28:37] So I wouldn't be surprised if...

[00:28:40] And you already see it.

[00:28:41] The Xbox app on certain televisions, right?

[00:28:44] Yeah.

[00:28:45] So I think that...

[00:28:46] Yeah.

[00:28:46] Because remember, their goal is they want to get all mobile users and stuff to get on Xbox, right?

[00:28:53] Whether that'll work, we don't know.

[00:28:54] With PlayStation, I'm not so sure.

[00:28:58] On Throwdown, the question show, we did Sony's financials.

[00:29:02] They just released our quarterly report.

[00:29:04] Dude, 35% of their revenue comes from PlayStation, of the entire Sony division.

[00:29:09] And then the other major chunk of it comes from their chip division.

[00:29:13] Yeah.

[00:29:13] That does the sensors for cameras or, you know, for digital cameras and whatnot.

[00:29:17] Which is, I would say, their other part of their market, like their professional market, you know, they have a market.

[00:29:24] But yeah, those are...

[00:29:25] Yes, those are the biggest.

[00:29:26] I'm not surprised by that.

[00:29:27] I'm not surprised at all.

[00:29:29] Yeah, PlayStation and electronics.

[00:29:30] And by the way, no surprise, because Madam Web was such a big hit.

[00:29:34] Sony Pictures.

[00:29:35] Yeah, yeah.

[00:29:36] Thank you.

[00:29:37] Don't hurt me.

[00:29:37] Please don't hurt me.

[00:29:38] It's already on Netflix for free now.

[00:29:39] Yeah.

[00:29:41] So yeah, to answer your question, I'm not sure what Sony will do, because there's semi...

[00:29:45] Sony's interesting.

[00:29:46] Because they act like a Japanese company and a Western company simultaneously, you know?

[00:29:51] So I don't know, you know, Japanese are more traditional.

[00:29:54] Westerners are more willing to innovate.

[00:29:55] So I'm not sure if Sony will be like, we're not going to make another PlayStation.

[00:29:59] But I think Microsoft, after whatever console comes out in 2026, I think they're going to be done after that.

[00:30:04] So let me ask this question, right?

[00:30:06] And we're talking about the new consoles coming out is, if the proposed tariffs are put in place, with the game industry being as fragile as it is right now, do you think seeing a 20% bump on the cost across the board would actually be potentially the straw that will break the camel's back?

[00:30:28] Yeah, that's above my pay grade to answer.

[00:30:30] So I don't know.

[00:30:30] I'm not going to dive into that.

[00:30:32] Also, like, I think that's a question that, like, I think that's comes in time.

[00:30:38] I think you have to read the terrain.

[00:30:40] Yeah.

[00:30:41] You know, in time when that's happening, because...

[00:30:44] So...

[00:30:45] That's a good question, because are they gonna...

[00:30:47] Are games gonna be up to 80 to 90 dollars?

[00:30:51] Because if you look at that, like the...

[00:30:52] Averaging what, six to seven hundred dollars for the console?

[00:30:55] At that point, right?

[00:30:57] The PS5 Pro at 700 would now become 840 dollars.

[00:31:01] Right.

[00:31:02] Or the next console be 100 dollars more and that's the standard MSRP.

[00:31:07] Like that's...

[00:31:07] Do you think people could afford a thousand dollars for a console?

[00:31:10] If that's what the next generation...

[00:31:11] In this market, no way.

[00:31:13] No way.

[00:31:13] Oh my God.

[00:31:13] It's too much.

[00:31:14] If anything...

[00:31:16] Maybe if minimum wage went up to 30 dollars.

[00:31:19] Yeah.

[00:31:20] If anything, what I would hope for is...

[00:31:22] What I would hope for in the future, if somehow it's easier to render or make gaming...

[00:31:32] The process of making the games a bit more innovative.

[00:31:36] If we got innovative in that area to where...

[00:31:41] I guess it would catch up to the market for gaming to where maybe the pricing wouldn't change as much.

[00:31:50] But it all depends.

[00:31:52] That's a good question, Matt.

[00:31:53] That I think we have to wait and kind of read what's going on.

[00:31:57] With the gaming industry as a whole, right?

[00:31:59] They're not hitting their budgets like they're proposing.

[00:32:01] I mean to Tony's point, right?

[00:32:03] We're still doing crunch times.

[00:32:05] Like you said, we're still going with the old ways.

[00:32:09] We got to figure out other ways of how to make it.

[00:32:12] Look at Ariel moving her camera just so you can see her.

[00:32:15] No, I wasn't trying to do that.

[00:32:16] Her Switch and her Xbox.

[00:32:19] Her subtle flex.

[00:32:21] Very cool.

[00:32:22] No, I wasn't doing that.

[00:32:24] Actually, my cat is snoring so fucking loudly that it can be picked up in the camera.

[00:32:30] So I have to...

[00:32:30] Wow.

[00:32:31] That's impressive.

[00:32:32] I will say this.

[00:32:33] She does have good taste in the Switch system that she has.

[00:32:37] Just saying.

[00:32:38] Yeah, very nice.

[00:32:39] I do.

[00:32:39] You and I both have the AC switch.

[00:32:42] So you see, it's a master in how it is.

[00:32:45] But I do actually have to put my input into the question that you asked because I feel like we're not going to see consoles anymore after 2027 most likely.

[00:32:55] And then it's all going to go into handhelds because most people right now, if you see how the market is trending, we're seeing an uptick in handheld gaming and all of my...

[00:33:05] Yeah.

[00:33:05] And all of my friends right now are so driven either to the Steam Deck, to the Rogue Ally, to the Switch.

[00:33:12] They're not bothering with a lot of the stuff because why?

[00:33:15] There has been such an unreliability now with manufacturers, chips, sell it.

[00:33:21] Like everything has gotten so fucking expensive that it is so unreliable to be able to estimate, well, when am I going to get this PS5 in the mail?

[00:33:30] When am I going to do this?

[00:33:31] And it's such a first world problem.

[00:33:33] Yes, I realize this.

[00:33:34] But it's also a very important problem that businesses have to understand.

[00:33:40] Because if they can't get their product or sell it even on time, there's no point in making someone wait or a manufacturer wait or even a consumer wait.

[00:33:49] So I feel like the only reason that we are going to have physicals left, if any at all, is going to be for collectors and they're going to do limited edition copies of the current consoles.

[00:34:01] And speaking of evil corporations, Thong has joined us.

[00:34:08] Vick, what's up, bud?

[00:34:10] Hey, it's Vick.

[00:34:10] Hey, how are you doing? I just wanted to come by and say hi.

[00:34:13] Oh, thank you so much.

[00:34:15] How is the nicest bunch of podcasters around?

[00:34:19] How's it going, bud?

[00:34:20] Doing all right.

[00:34:21] Doing well, doing well. Thank you for showing.

[00:34:24] Vic, you have not been on with Tony and Ariel.

[00:34:27] So, Tony Polanco.

[00:34:29] Actually, Vick was in my review for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

[00:34:32] Hey!

[00:34:33] Yes!

[00:34:34] That's so funny.

[00:34:35] Very cool.

[00:34:37] Yeah, I'm doing well. How about you?

[00:34:39] Nice to meet you.

[00:34:40] Good to meet you, Tony.

[00:34:42] Awesome.

[00:34:43] I'm doing well. I'm doing well.

[00:34:47] Just finishing having an argument with my kids, but that's...

[00:34:52] Yeah!

[00:34:54] Lame you in the law.

[00:34:54] Lame you in the law.

[00:34:55] Lame you in the law.

[00:34:56] It's like...

[00:34:57] It's that thing where it's just like...

[00:34:59] It's like I had...

[00:35:01] I had picked up these little mini apple pies from Trader Joe's, and I thought it'd be nice

[00:35:09] to have that, but then when you behave like a jerk, you're not going to get it.

[00:35:14] And all of a sudden there's all these promises and stuff like that of, I'm going to behave

[00:35:18] and everything like that.

[00:35:19] And it's like, yeah, but we're not doing this thing where I dangle something in front

[00:35:25] of you and then you behave and then maybe good things happen.

[00:35:32] Not always negotiating.

[00:35:34] Yeah, yeah.

[00:35:35] And it's just...

[00:35:36] Yeah.

[00:35:37] Anyway.

[00:35:39] So this is just having kids, but whatever.

[00:35:42] Yes.

[00:35:42] It is.

[00:35:44] But sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt.

[00:35:46] So...

[00:35:47] No!

[00:35:47] That's the whole point.

[00:35:48] That's the point of this podcast.

[00:35:49] I told you guys.

[00:35:50] We don't have crashed enough.

[00:35:52] Everybody.

[00:35:53] We don't have people crash enough.

[00:35:55] Yeah, exactly.

[00:35:55] Yes.

[00:35:56] That's the name of the podcast, right?

[00:35:57] Crashing Game Night.

[00:35:58] Exactly.

[00:35:59] The whole premise behind it.

[00:36:01] I still have my Crashing Game Night tank top.

[00:36:06] I wear it to the gym regularly.

[00:36:08] Yeah.

[00:36:09] I always feel energized when I wear it.

[00:36:11] Mm-hmm.

[00:36:11] Thank you.

[00:36:12] No, we appreciate it, Vic.

[00:36:14] Yeah.

[00:36:14] You can hop by any time.

[00:36:16] Oh, yeah.

[00:36:16] We were just talking shop, as always.

[00:36:19] Yeah.

[00:36:19] You know?

[00:36:20] And so what were you saying now?

[00:36:22] Ariel was finishing up a very good point on...

[00:36:25] Ariel, did you want to discuss...

[00:36:28] I was just saying that, you know, a lot of the time when we see consoles and everything,

[00:36:33] nowadays, I feel like we're seeing more of the limited edition ones, ones that are

[00:36:36] like for Cyberpunk or for Halo and all that kind of stuff, because I feel like if consoles

[00:36:41] are going to stay around much longer, it's not going to be in the way that we see them

[00:36:45] now.

[00:36:45] It's going to be more for collectors, kind of the way record players have become.

[00:36:50] Yeah, which is sad.

[00:36:51] I remember picking up a record player like two or three years ago, thinking like, huh,

[00:36:54] they only sell these at like, you know, pawn shops or like collection stores and stuff.

[00:36:59] And like, I remember my dad saying, well, why don't we pick up records to go with it?

[00:37:02] Because that store was currently going out of business.

[00:37:05] And we were seeing so many of those, you know, and you know, if that was the case, we

[00:37:09] had to get Fleetwood Mac.

[00:37:10] I mean, come on.

[00:37:11] So...

[00:37:12] Nice.

[00:37:13] No, I totally agree.

[00:37:15] I think what you guys are saying on the future of where consoles could go.

[00:37:20] Yep.

[00:37:21] I think you hit it on the nail.

[00:37:23] If it doesn't hit, if it's not in the major consumer market.

[00:37:27] Yeah, I think we're seeing more and more need and want for those limited edition or 30th

[00:37:34] anniversary or, or yeah, like I said, those, those specialty item consoles where that might

[00:37:42] be the only way you can get a console and you have to decide which one you want.

[00:37:45] Well, it's not even that, but I mean like both me and Jerry were one of the, like, both

[00:37:48] of us still strongly agree on the, on having physical copies.

[00:37:52] But yeah, there are games now that are starting to just have the digital download, but everything

[00:37:59] else is physical.

[00:38:00] Like you get a steel book with nothing in it.

[00:38:02] You get our book and like whatever it comes with.

[00:38:05] I do kind of want to argue now, which, which some of the companies that have been kind of

[00:38:13] struggling with Sony and Microsoft, the, the major companies on distribution for the digital

[00:38:20] market where now like a black myth, Wukong, that company, they're starting to come out with

[00:38:26] physical copies of their game because in certain areas they're not going to allow you to actually

[00:38:35] keep the digital format if you pay, even if you paid for it.

[00:38:39] So yeah.

[00:38:40] So now is that going to be a thing?

[00:38:42] Is that going to start, you know, an uproar in the future?

[00:38:46] You know, that's something to look at and see in the future.

[00:38:50] But yeah, but I, that just makes me happy because more physical, you know?

[00:38:54] Yeah.

[00:38:54] Yeah.

[00:38:55] Yeah.

[00:38:56] I do.

[00:38:57] Yeah.

[00:38:58] I do want to jump on a point Ariel made and it's funny.

[00:39:01] I literally review handhelds for a living.

[00:39:03] And then there even occurred to me that that could be the future of gaming because these

[00:39:08] things are good.

[00:39:09] The, the, the steam deck, for example, is as powerful as the PS4 pro, which is, and the,

[00:39:15] and the switch is about to be as powerful as the PS4.

[00:39:17] Then you've got the ROG ally, which is even more powerful than that.

[00:39:20] So that could be a good way of combining things.

[00:39:25] But here's the thing though, an ROG ally, at least the latest one also costs $700.

[00:39:29] So remember these things are not going to be cheap, but at the same time, you're getting

[00:39:33] a fully fledged PC, but I got a story for you guys.

[00:39:35] You're going to love this.

[00:39:36] Right?

[00:39:37] So I, you know, again, I'm a laptop reviewer and I was trying to help a friend, you know,

[00:39:41] find a good work laptop and he's a gamer too.

[00:39:44] And I was like, Hey, have you ever thought about an ROG ally as your gaming laptop?

[00:39:48] Like, because you could connect it to a monitor and a keyboard and everything.

[00:39:51] And it works just like a computer.

[00:39:53] Dude, he did that.

[00:39:54] And he's happy.

[00:39:55] He's like, I, this is great.

[00:39:56] Nice.

[00:39:57] I have a, I have a cable computer that I could just play games on.

[00:40:01] And here's the funny thing.

[00:40:02] He's a lawyer.

[00:40:02] So he's coming to office with an ROG ally.

[00:40:06] Yeah.

[00:40:07] That's awesome.

[00:40:08] He looks it up to his monitor.

[00:40:09] It starts going.

[00:40:10] It's great.

[00:40:11] So that could, yeah.

[00:40:13] This means it's getting so powerful.

[00:40:14] I could see in like, maybe like maybe 10 years, maybe before that after the next console

[00:40:21] cycle.

[00:40:22] Yeah.

[00:40:22] What if this, they decide, you know what?

[00:40:24] Everything's just handheld out.

[00:40:25] You want to play on your TV.

[00:40:26] We got a doc for you.

[00:40:27] We're good.

[00:40:28] I, that, that could be it.

[00:40:29] I mean, there's, there's renewed rumors of a Vita too.

[00:40:34] Yeah.

[00:40:34] You know, and I could, I could almost see the PS six going the way of being.

[00:40:41] Could the PS portal be like a segue of what the Vita kind of.

[00:40:46] Kind of.

[00:40:46] The portal is to the portal is to PlayStation.

[00:40:48] What the Wii U was to Nintendo.

[00:40:51] The right.

[00:40:52] They can.

[00:40:53] Yeah.

[00:40:53] Yeah.

[00:40:54] My podcast.

[00:40:54] I call, I called the portal that Sony towed it.

[00:40:58] There's testing the waters.

[00:40:59] See, I agree.

[00:41:00] I agree.

[00:41:01] Yeah.

[00:41:02] And that thing sold very, even though, even though you cannot play games on that thing,

[00:41:07] you know, I, you know, on device, it's sold like crazy.

[00:41:10] Yeah.

[00:41:11] There's demand for.

[00:41:12] I was really surprised at the sales of that thing that like it, it, me too.

[00:41:16] It made a hit.

[00:41:16] Yeah.

[00:41:17] Yeah.

[00:41:17] Because that was where I played resident evil four for the first time.

[00:41:21] Yeah.

[00:41:21] There you go.

[00:41:22] When I went to CES this year, I met with ASUS, right?

[00:41:26] You know, regular appointment and I say, but, but, but behind the scenes, I asked them

[00:41:30] like, Hey, what, you know, cause I was curious.

[00:41:32] Like, would you guys, you know, how did the, the ROG ally sell the original one?

[00:41:37] And they told me like, it sold way better than they expected.

[00:41:40] And to prove the point, they released a sequel to it basically, you know?

[00:41:43] So, and Lenovo is about to come out with one.

[00:41:45] That's what rumors are saying.

[00:41:47] Um, MSI has already tried two times.

[00:41:49] There's rumors that Acer is going to have one.

[00:41:52] Everybody's jumping on this thing.

[00:41:54] So why wouldn't Sony get in there too?

[00:41:57] So talking about Nintendo, let's kind of segue into that really quick since they're on the

[00:42:01] handheld side.

[00:42:02] Um, you know, they released their black fighter promos.

[00:42:06] Um, already, already.

[00:42:08] Yes.

[00:42:09] J, J rock, J rock.

[00:42:11] I need to watch it.

[00:42:12] Keep watching.

[00:42:12] I'm, I'm, my eyes are ready for your salivation.

[00:42:18] Oh my goodness.

[00:42:19] Oh my goodness.

[00:42:20] Oh my goodness.

[00:42:26] Our little projection room.

[00:42:27] This time Jason's not quite as small as he usually is in the, in the four person theater

[00:42:32] that we use.

[00:42:33] Thank God.

[00:42:34] He's been doing this.

[00:42:35] You know what?

[00:42:36] Like it's because I'm, I'm so far away from my like, uh, my camera.

[00:42:41] It makes me feel like I'm in college again.

[00:42:44] Jason, one word for you sir.

[00:42:45] Jason, one word for you sir.

[00:42:46] Zoom.

[00:42:46] Like, yeah.

[00:42:48] Zoom.

[00:42:48] The, this is something we've been excited to do in which, it's one of the updates

[00:42:52] to like zoom.

[00:42:53] It allows us to have these little immersion rooms.

[00:42:55] So we like, when we do sure it's just the four of us.

[00:42:58] It's like, we go into a little movie theater.

[00:43:00] Um, anyway, so these are starting on 1124.

[00:43:05] Um, so they're going to have $20 off.

[00:43:10] These select games are going to have, um, tears of the kingdom is going to be 50.

[00:43:16] Um, um, Mario maker two animal crossing pick for, uh, switch sports.

[00:43:22] And Kirby, all those are going to be 40.

[00:43:25] And then you got Mario odyssey and Pikmin one in two for 30, which I think Mario odyssey

[00:43:29] at $30 for anybody that doesn't have a switch.

[00:43:32] That should be a absolute pickup right there.

[00:43:35] Yeah.

[00:43:35] That's a good, that's a fun game.

[00:43:37] I might try, you know, be, um, I have forgotten.

[00:43:42] It's, it's pretty fun.

[00:43:43] Okay.

[00:43:45] What is it?

[00:43:46] Any of these Vic?

[00:43:47] Say it again.

[00:43:48] Have you voiced in any of these?

[00:43:50] Hopefully I have not.

[00:43:51] I have no, I wish I had, that'd be fantastic to be a part of any of those.

[00:43:56] So, you know, but you are, but you are part of moral combat though.

[00:44:00] Uh, yes.

[00:44:01] And a little, and a small, and a small independent title called final fantasy seven.

[00:44:05] Yeah.

[00:44:06] I, I, I, I feel like, you know, if we, if things break right for, you know, things we,

[00:44:11] if, if it gets lucky, you know, maybe, maybe that could, uh, maybe the people might notice

[00:44:16] that game.

[00:44:16] So we'll see.

[00:44:17] Mm-hmm.

[00:44:18] Right.

[00:44:19] Um, but yeah, so all these, I mean, $20 off, these are actually some good titles.

[00:44:25] Switch sports for 40 bucks is a great actual game night game, you know, with, you know,

[00:44:32] here's animal crossing for 40 bucks.

[00:44:34] That's not bad at all.

[00:44:35] Dude, honestly, I've gotten my $60 worth out of that game.

[00:44:39] Like I've been playing it.

[00:44:39] Yes.

[00:44:40] We got my $60.

[00:44:41] We know.

[00:44:42] That's how much you got out of it.

[00:44:44] Right.

[00:44:45] Um, you know, so even the kingdom was just a joy to go through, like trying to figure out

[00:44:50] different combinations in order to solve an issue.

[00:44:52] That was pretty awesome.

[00:44:53] Yeah.

[00:44:54] Yeah.

[00:44:57] So what else do we got here?

[00:45:00] Um, you know, it's trying to crash game night.

[00:45:04] Speaking of kids, Vic, um, then they're going to do, um, you're going to get, they're going

[00:45:11] to do $20 off, uh, the red and blue joy con bundle, $20 off the pro controllers, $10 off

[00:45:18] the Zelda carrying case that comes with the screen protector.

[00:45:22] Um, any discount for a pro controller is, uh, is a great discount.

[00:45:27] That means it's got $50 controller right there.

[00:45:30] And those controllers last a while.

[00:45:31] I finally, my original pro controller that I've had for all these years finally died.

[00:45:38] Really?

[00:45:38] Yes.

[00:45:39] The joy, the, uh, the joystick on the left side just died completely.

[00:45:44] Like it doesn't matter.

[00:45:45] It doesn't want to go anywhere.

[00:45:46] So it's like, well, good thing we have a couple lectures in the house.

[00:45:49] Um, and then they're going to be doing bundles.

[00:45:52] Um, so they're doing the standard switch at 299 coming with Mario.

[00:45:57] Uh, car eight and 12 months of the individual switch online.

[00:46:02] Now that's not the plus, um, you know, the one that has the expansion pack, but it's

[00:46:07] still 12 months online.

[00:46:09] Yeah.

[00:46:10] The OLED they're doing that for three 50, you know, with the bun with Mario

[00:46:14] card eight and the 12, you know, 12 month.

[00:46:17] And then they're also doing the Zelda switch light.

[00:46:20] Of course.

[00:46:21] The plus, the 12 months.

[00:46:23] Gotta do a limited edition something.

[00:46:26] Oh dude.

[00:46:27] It's been out for a little while.

[00:46:28] Didn't you just finish saying that that needed to happen more?

[00:46:30] Oh, I didn't know that.

[00:46:32] No, I, no, I said that we're projected to see that happening more, but.

[00:46:36] But didn't you say you wanted that to happen more?

[00:46:39] Kinda.

[00:46:39] I do like the special.

[00:46:41] Right.

[00:46:42] Right now.

[00:46:43] I just checked it out.

[00:46:44] Actually the Nintendo switch, just the white OLED model is three 49.

[00:46:49] So that might actually go down to two 50.

[00:46:51] Probably.

[00:46:52] Wow.

[00:46:52] Nice.

[00:46:53] Yeah.

[00:46:54] That might actually go down to two 50.

[00:46:55] I'm projecting because a lot of stuff on Amazon, they mark their stuff down.

[00:46:59] So you can only get those prices on Amazon and not in the store.

[00:47:03] But they also do those like select quantities.

[00:47:06] So they only do it for so long.

[00:47:08] Yeah, that's right.

[00:47:09] They sell out quick for those prices.

[00:47:12] Even at two Oh nine.

[00:47:14] Right.

[00:47:14] Or two 10 rather for the switch light.

[00:47:15] And it's coming with the online and the expansion pack for that.

[00:47:19] I mean, all three of those bundles, if you haven't gotten into the switch yet, those

[00:47:23] are all great bundles to get into.

[00:47:26] And Mario Kart eight alone.

[00:47:27] That's just that's the that's a friendship killer that keeps on giving.

[00:47:32] I don't want to talk about.

[00:47:36] I feel like it's it's at the end of its cycle, though, like I feel like Mario Kart

[00:47:41] nine is going to come out soon.

[00:47:42] It needs to.

[00:47:43] Yeah, we're at the point where it needs to come out right now.

[00:47:45] I feel so.

[00:47:46] Also, there is rumor that Mario Kart nine is going to be a launch title for the switch

[00:47:52] to make.

[00:47:53] Yeah, that's surprising.

[00:47:54] Okay, nice.

[00:47:54] Makes sense.

[00:47:55] Cool.

[00:47:55] I'm just glad it's not Pokemon right now because they need to chill out just for a little bit.

[00:47:59] Take some time.

[00:48:01] Go to a resort.

[00:48:01] I mean, they're too busy with their lawsuit against Pal world.

[00:48:03] So that makes sense.

[00:48:05] Listen, when I worked for Windows Central gaming, okay, that we knew that was going to happen.

[00:48:09] We were writing up the articles and thinking, huh, I wonder when this is going to hit the fan

[00:48:13] right now.

[00:48:14] Absolutely, man.

[00:48:16] Yeah, you can zoom back in now.

[00:48:18] We're no longer in the theater.

[00:48:20] Speaking of Nintendo suing people.

[00:48:23] Have you heard the recent story?

[00:48:25] Oh, are you talking about the guy down in Castle Rock?

[00:48:27] Yeah, that's getting sued by Nintendo.

[00:48:28] So there's a Twitter streamer.

[00:48:31] 7.5.

[00:48:31] Nintendo is wild, man.

[00:48:33] What?

[00:48:33] Twitch streamer getting sued for streaming, supposedly streaming games of Nintendo's that

[00:48:39] hadn't been released yet.

[00:48:41] Oh, jeez.

[00:48:42] And he's done like 10 different games and it's done like 50 times.

[00:48:46] So they're trying to serve him for $150,000 per time that he's done it.

[00:48:54] So it's like equating to like $7.2 million.

[00:48:57] Damn.

[00:48:58] Oh my God.

[00:48:58] Oh my gosh.

[00:48:59] But reporters have reached out to him and supposedly he hasn't even been served papers yet.

[00:49:04] So yeah, I saw the claiming that they're showing him, but he doesn't know about it.

[00:49:09] Really?

[00:49:11] But he did say so.

[00:49:13] They also showed screenshots of when Nintendo reached out to him and said, hey, we need

[00:49:17] you to stop this.

[00:49:18] They like they warned him a couple of times to say, please stop this.

[00:49:21] Right.

[00:49:21] And he basically said that he's got like 30 burner accounts so he could do it all day long.

[00:49:27] Oh, wow.

[00:49:28] So it's like, well, you dumbass, because Nintendo wasn't going to sue.

[00:49:33] Just sort of admitting that you're doing something wrong.

[00:49:36] They reached out to say, hey, can you please just stop this?

[00:49:38] They weren't going to sue him at that point.

[00:49:39] And then when he basically said, well, I can keep doing this all day long.

[00:49:42] They're like, okay, screw you.

[00:49:44] You know, and it's and it was games that have not been released that basically he got as part

[00:49:50] of those last couple of leaks that have hit.

[00:49:53] You know, one of them was when all the Pokemon stuff got released and whatnot.

[00:49:57] So it's like literally stuff that hasn't even hit the shelf yet.

[00:50:01] Hasn't gone through to gold and some sort of guy in the legal system or whatever that's

[00:50:06] representing him thinks that he got it off of the dark web.

[00:50:10] Yes, how we got the leaks.

[00:50:13] So yeah, there's there's a phrase for that.

[00:50:15] Fuck around and find out.

[00:50:17] Yeah.

[00:50:19] Amazing.

[00:50:20] Gonna be interesting.

[00:50:21] I mean, I hope they win.

[00:50:23] But the the story that I saw the guy that was kind of comparing it to like Napster and college

[00:50:30] kids in dorms like it's I know the same thing sort of thing.

[00:50:34] I mean, okay.

[00:50:35] But the difference was hold on.

[00:50:37] The difference was back then we were we were downloading music that was already out.

[00:50:41] True.

[00:50:43] And so we weren't blasting it saying that we didn't have social media.

[00:50:48] Just bragging that we were doing.

[00:50:50] No, we had Napster.

[00:50:51] We had one where.

[00:50:53] Yeah.

[00:50:54] Make sure you got the right.

[00:50:55] The right song.

[00:50:57] Yeah, that's right.

[00:50:58] Yeah, that's right.

[00:50:59] Download a couple of the record companies are listing.

[00:51:01] We totally don't know what this is.

[00:51:02] Yeah.

[00:51:02] What that's why we've we've never promote stealing of copyrighted information.

[00:51:08] That's why we all started the downloads while we went off to our college class.

[00:51:14] Yeah, because it took like five hours just to get one song.

[00:51:19] Yeah.

[00:51:20] We've been on overnight.

[00:51:21] Hopefully nobody calls you at night, you know.

[00:51:23] Yeah.

[00:51:24] And I even had like at my college, we even had T1 in the dorms and it took forever.

[00:51:28] Oh, man.

[00:51:29] Like God.

[00:51:30] And that was T1 back then was like five megabytes per second.

[00:51:35] Well, true.

[00:51:36] So we had the family computer.

[00:51:38] So if one of us was downloading a song, we just prayed no one else went into the computer

[00:51:42] room.

[00:51:43] Dad always did.

[00:51:44] So he always got.

[00:51:45] Why is the computer so slow?

[00:51:48] Every day, every day.

[00:51:51] Oh, all right.

[00:51:53] Well, Tony, I know you said you had to bounce right at 30.

[00:51:57] So we're gonna let you go.

[00:51:58] Yeah.

[00:51:59] Again.

[00:52:00] Yeah.

[00:52:00] Thank you for having me on 300 episodes is a huge accomplishment.

[00:52:04] Very proud of you guys.

[00:52:06] Would you have done it's like the meteor.

[00:52:07] Meteoric rising.

[00:52:08] I've kind of been here since the beginning, you know, really, really cool to just see this

[00:52:13] and you know, I'm definitely gonna be on for episode 400 and maybe 350.

[00:52:18] Yeah.

[00:52:19] I noticed like I keep it's been every 50.

[00:52:21] It's been like every 50.

[00:52:23] And I got at least one of these episodes.

[00:52:25] We're going to do it with you in person.

[00:52:27] Yeah, for sure.

[00:52:28] I'm gonna have to get awesome.

[00:52:30] Yeah, I got to get some of you guys over on on throw down as well.

[00:52:32] Yeah, yeah, that'll be fun to bring me get going.

[00:52:36] Um, Vic, it was great to meet you.

[00:52:38] And thank you for all the awesome voices you keep providing for us there.

[00:52:42] I really enjoy your work.

[00:52:43] So it's just an honor to meet you as well.

[00:52:45] Oh, thank you very much.

[00:52:46] I feel very blessed to be able to do this stuff.

[00:52:49] So thank you.

[00:52:50] Awesome.

[00:52:50] All right, everyone have fun and I'll see you next time.

[00:52:52] Take care, Tony.

[00:52:54] Bye.

[00:52:54] Later, Tony.

[00:52:55] Bye.

[00:52:56] Yeah, I was looking at the time.

[00:52:57] I was like, crap, it's it's already.

[00:52:59] It's already at that hour.

[00:53:00] Oh, gosh, ready.

[00:53:01] So if you're like, it's it's we'll go extend a little bit if we if you know,

[00:53:07] since we were on the topic of Mario Kart, Vic, do you and the kids throw down in some Mario Kart?

[00:53:12] No.

[00:53:13] Oh, here's here's the thing, though.

[00:53:16] Here's the thing is, is, you know, we should because yeah, we still have we still have the we we just haven't we haven't rusted it out for a long time.

[00:53:26] So the reminder.

[00:53:27] Yeah, there you go.

[00:53:29] Because because yeah, like like especially back in the pandemic, like, you know, you know, like the we kept us sane, you know, with, you know, with, with bowling and all that stuff.

[00:53:38] So, so, I've heard of great things with doing it with his like eat.

[00:53:43] Like, I've heard of ideas where like, if the kids lose, they have to clean up their room.

[00:53:49] Oh, do some chores.

[00:53:51] If they kick dad's butt like they get a treat or something.

[00:53:55] Oh, okay.

[00:53:56] That's a good idea.

[00:53:57] Thank you.

[00:53:57] Thank you.

[00:53:58] Maybe.

[00:53:58] Yeah.

[00:53:59] Thank you.

[00:53:59] I will say this, Vic, if you want to make yourself and the kids feel better.

[00:54:03] Make sure to invite Jerry.

[00:54:05] Okay.

[00:54:07] Why is that?

[00:54:08] Oh my God.

[00:54:09] Just just because he terrible at Mario Kart or what?

[00:54:13] He's not.

[00:54:14] I'm all right.

[00:54:14] I'm okay.

[00:54:15] I'm okay.

[00:54:15] I just, I just feel like when certain people that we play with, I feel like they're ringers.

[00:54:22] You know what?

[00:54:23] I just, you know, come on, come on.

[00:54:26] I just feel, you know, every time I'm around certain people, I get the sense of.

[00:54:30] But delusion ringers, they're holding back their skill up front.

[00:54:35] The people that we know that play really just brag about how good they are.

[00:54:39] Yeah.

[00:54:39] They just obliterate.

[00:54:40] Yeah.

[00:54:41] This is the Mario Kart before.

[00:54:43] So for me, this is like, okay.

[00:54:45] I have no idea what's going on.

[00:54:47] This is the dojo.

[00:54:48] That's all I got to say.

[00:54:48] It's the only time I've ever, like the only time you you'll ever see me get like upset.

[00:54:53] Like this is so stupid.

[00:54:55] Ariel, don't play with Matt for your first introduction into it.

[00:54:59] I just, yeah.

[00:55:01] I just, yeah.

[00:55:02] So I do like.

[00:55:03] It gives me, it's a little PTSD there.

[00:55:06] Yep.

[00:55:06] I'm excited to get going.

[00:55:08] I just gotta go be a dad.

[00:55:09] I just want to say hi.

[00:55:10] So good seeing you folks.

[00:55:11] Um, so Jason, um, maybe I've asked you this question before, or if not, I've always just

[00:55:16] asked this question in my head.

[00:55:17] What's the deal with the sofa?

[00:55:21] He's it.

[00:55:22] He's our late night.

[00:55:23] I should have gotten a new one.

[00:55:24] I should.

[00:55:24] I should have gotten a new one.

[00:55:25] Yeah.

[00:55:26] It's 300.

[00:55:26] You're fired.

[00:55:27] Talk host.

[00:55:28] It's okay.

[00:55:28] No, uh, the deal with the sofa is because as we like to have it, you know, all game

[00:55:34] nights happen on the sofa and behind me, uh, is a very messy room.

[00:55:40] Okay.

[00:55:41] Uh, when, when it first started, it was even messier.

[00:55:44] It was actually in a different room.

[00:55:45] Like my wife would sometimes be behind because we would be in one room, but now we were able

[00:55:51] to switch out to a different room.

[00:55:52] I see.

[00:55:53] Uh, but yeah, so like the behind me is very, very messy and I'll show it to you.

[00:55:58] But the couch has been a bit.

[00:56:00] It's been a running thing for a long time.

[00:56:02] Oh yeah.

[00:56:02] No, ever since I started.

[00:56:05] Yes, exactly.

[00:56:06] Since it's since we're at 300 after 300, we, we, I think we need a new couch.

[00:56:10] Yeah.

[00:56:10] I need to get a new couch.

[00:56:11] Every hundred episodes.

[00:56:13] Yeah.

[00:56:13] At least it's got to go together.

[00:56:17] It's got to tie the room together.

[00:56:18] Yeah.

[00:56:18] Yeah.

[00:56:19] But, uh, yeah, no Vic, that's, it's, it's always been, and plus it's always like a welcome

[00:56:23] back because you know, you've been on multiple times.

[00:56:27] Ariel has been on a couple, a few times as well.

[00:56:29] Yeah.

[00:56:30] And it's just one of those things where it's like, Hey, like always welcome back on this

[00:56:33] couch.

[00:56:36] Sometimes it's a different couch, but all in all it's a, it's a, it's a couch.

[00:56:42] Yeah.

[00:56:43] And, uh, maybe I'll just bring out some of my old couches, you know, just, you know,

[00:56:49] see, I had some of my couches.

[00:56:50] This is the first couch that we had, you know, the budget couch, that was a budget couch.

[00:56:58] And then we switched up a little bit more modern.

[00:57:00] Yeah.

[00:57:00] Yeah.

[00:57:01] Our first Ikea.

[00:57:03] That was our first.

[00:57:03] Yeah.

[00:57:03] It was our first Ikea couch.

[00:57:05] Yeah.

[00:57:06] And then we went over to like a little bit more like, yeah, this is very luxurious.

[00:57:11] Yeah.

[00:57:11] We've all, like, ooh.

[00:57:12] We've all think couch.

[00:57:13] I think he could pull out grandma's couch with the plastic in the floor and everything.

[00:57:18] So let's, uh, grandma's couch.

[00:57:20] We need to get Vic out of here.

[00:57:21] He's got to go be a dad.

[00:57:23] But yeah, no, Vic.

[00:57:24] Like, see you again.

[00:57:24] Thanks for signing up, Vic.

[00:57:26] Thank you, boy.

[00:57:26] Welcome back on this couch, Vic.

[00:57:27] Anytime.

[00:57:28] Take care, bud.

[00:57:29] Thank you.

[00:57:31] And too, I just like, I gotta go be a dad too.

[00:57:33] But hey, I want to thank everybody for crashing game night tonight for our 300th episode.

[00:57:38] Um, especially with Tony and Ariel being back on.

[00:57:43] Yes.

[00:57:43] Looking back at their episode list.

[00:57:45] They are on roughly every 50 episodes.

[00:57:48] Nice.

[00:57:48] Give or take.

[00:57:49] So that's the way it's been.

[00:57:50] Keep the tradition alive.

[00:57:51] I just have one quick request before we start doing closings.

[00:57:55] Is I want to see this snoring cat that we were talking about.

[00:57:59] Can I see the snoring cat?

[00:58:00] Yes, you can.

[00:58:01] Please.

[00:58:02] One of them left.

[00:58:03] The other snoring cat is right next to me.

[00:58:05] Yes.

[00:58:06] There's two snoring cats.

[00:58:08] Full stereo.

[00:58:10] Oh, look at that.

[00:58:10] He's so upset.

[00:58:11] He's like, ah.

[00:58:12] So awesome.

[00:58:14] What are you picking me up for?

[00:58:16] Yeah.

[00:58:17] I was like, put me down.

[00:58:18] Put me down.

[00:58:19] There he is.

[00:58:20] It's a big.

[00:58:21] It's so cute.

[00:58:22] Wait a second.

[00:58:23] Is it like, Binks?

[00:58:24] Yes.

[00:58:24] Binks from Hocus Pocus?

[00:58:26] Yes.

[00:58:27] Yes.

[00:58:29] Love that movie.

[00:58:29] Do you want a part?

[00:58:31] Do you want?

[00:58:31] Wait.

[00:58:33] I think you can hear him.

[00:58:34] I'm not sure.

[00:58:35] Is it now used up snoring?

[00:58:37] No.

[00:58:38] You're giving me the desk.

[00:58:39] I was like, nope.

[00:58:40] No.

[00:58:41] Pick me up.

[00:58:42] But this is, it's been a journey, right?

[00:58:45] We started this one in 2019.

[00:58:47] Um, you know, we talked about this before when we did our LA Comic Con and review.

[00:58:51] It was really weird being back on that hollowed ground of the LA Convention Center for the,

[00:58:56] you know, for the first time since our first year of the podcast, you know, last time we

[00:59:03] had E3 was 2019.

[00:59:05] Um, so it's been an absolute honor and absolute privilege to at least give everybody a distraction

[00:59:10] from life over these last 300 episodes.

[00:59:13] And here's so many more because I don't plan on quitting this anytime soon.

[00:59:18] So let's see where we go with this.

[00:59:20] So, um, you know, for a challenge for me to drive you out in some fashion.

[00:59:26] Yeah.

[00:59:27] Oh, don't worry.

[00:59:29] I'll figure out a way to, to knife you in the back.

[00:59:31] You haven't gotten me sick.

[00:59:32] Um, think of me yet over like over a decade.

[00:59:35] So it was good.

[00:59:35] I got it.

[00:59:36] First, since that first, never, first time I pulled the chair out from behind you.

[00:59:41] No, don't be bringing up that shit.

[00:59:44] Anyways, you know, from, from that to, you know, from spice boys and everything, it is

[00:59:51] tremendously humbling though for us to have listens over the last week.

[00:59:55] We broke 10,000 listens for the year, which is our, really our best year on record so far.

[01:00:01] So, um, you know, for those that is first time crash was thank you for giving us a chance.

[01:00:06] Um, you know, if like, drop us a follow, um, you can go to crashing game.com,

[01:00:12] find all the platforms were carried on as well as we have a contributors and guest page where you can go to profiles for

[01:00:17] Ariel and for Tony and for Vic and find their socials and a little backstory as well as links to the episodes.

[01:00:23] They have been on in the past, including the infamous hot takes episode, which was great.

[01:00:29] Um, that was fun.

[01:00:31] I got to really unleash my Greg Miller.

[01:00:34] That's what I'm saying.

[01:00:34] You gotta come on it again and just be like, yo, hot takes.

[01:00:37] Let's go.

[01:00:37] Let's go.

[01:00:38] Let's go.

[01:00:38] Hot takes part.

[01:00:39] Let's do it.

[01:00:40] Hot takes part.

[01:00:41] Hot takes with Ariel.

[01:00:43] Hot takes with Ariel.

[01:00:44] Hot takes.

[01:00:45] Hot takes.

[01:00:46] Hot takes.

[01:01:53] Let's be patient.

[01:01:54] And overall, let's just try, uh, to strive to do and be better.

[01:02:06] and, uh, and help out.
