So, there's something we could say to that, but I'm keeping this a little... Oh, Jesus. Yeah. What is... I don't get it. I don't know how you don't see it.
[00:02:27] I didn't hear it. Yeah. Not until like, you know what? Yeah. We'll do some updates really quick. So, obviously, because I'm sitting here right now, I survived open heart surgery. Hey-oh! It was actually a little touch and go for a couple of days. Um, it was something that my, uh, my dad was feeding a friend of mine updates who was putting out updates and everything. Um, and yeah, shout out to your dad and everybody, uh, for all the updates.
[00:02:57] Cause, uh, yeah, we were all in, in a chain, just, uh, updating everyone and everyone who couldn't keeping a contact. Uh, yeah, it was great. So, uh, he kept away some of the worrisome stuff. Um, so, uh, surgery went well in terms of they, uh, my surgeon was able to save my valve repair it and fix the regurgitation problem.
[00:03:24] Which, which was the, um, the more preferred way that you wanted. Correct. Which means that retains all of my heart's natural functions and everything. Um, now, um, I'm going to go for a while. Um, one of the things was, uh, when they took me off bypass, I did start to bleed. So I needed to get two bags of blood in the OR. Oh, damn. And then, um, it took them roughly seven hours to wake me up. Oh, wow.
[00:03:54] From anesthesia and pull the intubation tube and stuff like that. So, um, yeah, it was like two ish, I think two, three o'clock when, you know, they, they finished up surgery and my, they went to talk to my, my dad and then 10 o'clock. Well, just after 10 o'clock, they pulled the tube and I was awake. Um, so, um, on top of that, I had to have another bag of blood infusion in ICU. I was in ICU for five days.
[00:04:24] Um, I ended up having to pull 850 milliliters of fluid off my right lung. Um, I was on one of those, uh, they call them a BPAP, but it's essentially, it's a CPAP machine. Um, fuck those. Never, never want one of those ever. Um, Jerry knows the pain that I suffered.
[00:04:46] Um, but I was on one of those high flow, high pressure CPAP masks for, from Thursday to Saturday, a hundred percent. So if I needed to drink. It was the complete apparatus that was covering you. Right. And then after you were done with that, they had you in the like, okay. Okay. Did you actually manage to sleep with that on your face? I had to, I didn't have a choice. Okay. Yeah. I'm sure eventually you just passed out. Yeah.
[00:05:16] Well, I couldn't sleep much because my, my room was right next to the entrance to, um, ICU. Oh, damn. Now the thing is though, the reason being is, oh, and there was a high traffic. So, you know, those doors where you have to push in the bar, like, you know, that, that sound. Yeah. Every, every damn time. Yeah.
[00:05:37] Oh, um, it's like Jason's having a little bit internet trouble tonight, but anyways, um, but that they have that specifically though for ICU. So the cardiac patients, they're the closest to the OR. So it's literally out the room through the door and right to the OR, you know, so it's, um, it's set up that way on purpose. I just happened to get, you know, bad luck at the draw.
[00:06:02] Um, and then, um, the reason for the CPAP is because my blood oxygen level would not come up above 80. Whoa. Okay. So, yeah, so it was not, it was not easy. Um, 10 out of 10 don't recommend an ICU vacation, but, um, but once I got over to, um, you know, step down unit, things started progressing a little bit.
[00:06:31] I was still on, um, high, high flow. Um, the, the candle or what they call it, um, to keep my blood part or my blood oxygen levels up. So finally we got me weamed off that. Um, I did get four iron infusions as well. Yeah. I like, yeah. So I've got a, you know, the incision, you can't see it right now.
[00:06:56] I'm being a little modest, but it's from here, literally like right down to the bottom of my cage. So, and then plus I've got two other incisions, small ones that are healing where the chest tubes were. So I had two chest tubes, two, uh, pacer wires and two, um, whatchamacallit, um, It's rough dude. Chest blockers in two. So like I was, I was not looking pretty.
[00:07:25] See when I sent you guys pictures of proof of life, I just did it from like, you're up. You guys couldn't even tell that it was like, um, but no, everything's okay. Starting to progress. Um, I was able to do a little over a half mile today. Nice. Nice guys. Went out to, uh, you know, the, the, the trailhead I used to go to all the time. Yeah. Um, went over there and just did the first part of it. Um, I didn't do the bridge.
[00:07:54] I just went the concrete and then turned it back. So. Okay, cool. Yeah. So one step at a time. I've got, I've got, um, June, June 23rd is my. My next doctor's appointment with the surgeon. And that clears me for driving. Oh, sweet. Okay. So I'll lose a couple of restrictions. Um, I cannot lift anything though, that it weighs more than a gallon of milk between now and 11 weeks from now.
[00:08:23] Oh, wow. Okay. We've got to redesign my entire kitchen. Yeah. On where everything is so I can get it and not be super heavy and stuff like that. So. Right. Um, all right. Now that Jason is back. I'm on my net stable. All right. So before we get into all the news and stuff to talk about, um, Theo was at fan expo. Yeah.
[00:08:50] Um, now this time around, none of us were present at fan expo with Theo. No, so I can't even tell you. So nobody was dragged around with me. I being the speed of light from person to person. So normally I have. And I miss every minute of it. Uh huh. Like normally I've got an inside. I actually, I really do. Well, you know what? We invited you to galaxy con. You didn't want to come out. I know. I know.

[00:10:18] Um, as well as I did a little spending on the floor. Got some t-shirts. Nice. Did a little bit of Pokemon card shopping. Dope. But, uh, yeah, I was, I usually pin, uh, Theo like roughly 15, unless he's got a big lineup of autographs, then it's, I can split. Well, see, here's my thing with going as high as I did because one, he Pokemon shopped two is he was doing the Lord of the Rings cast. Yep. Which that was Sunday was all Lord of the Rings. How was that by the way?
[00:15:06] Included Orlando Bloom, Elijah Wood, John Astin, all of them. Oh, damn. I actually opted out of getting, uh, Miranda Otto and, uh, Reese Davies. Uh, so I didn't get Gimli or Theo Wynn. Oh, okay. Cause there's, I w I was Sunday. I was kind of over it and I just miss him and I would have to wait three hours. Oh, I guess. Yeah.
[00:15:33] Do I, do I risk it and go shop around the floor some more or just go home? So I just, but, uh, how was, how were the reasons? How did you do the rest with the two of the rings? They were so sweet. All of them. They were just so nice. Uh, of course, everybody was getting pushed along just to get as many autographs out, out of the way as they can. Um, VIP came in clutch. I got the five of them, uh, done in under 10 minutes. Nice.
[00:16:04] Wow. Nice. Yeah. It's kind of insane to be able to do it that quick. So like I was there from nine until about 11 and I was done for the day. So it was a short day on Sunday. Interesting. Cool. Longest day was Friday that I got like close to 40 autographs and shopped the floor. So I was there for seven hours. How was, uh, since we're going to talk about it tonight, how was Kratos?
[00:16:35] Dude. Oh my God. Like he has the presence and aura of just the nicest person. Like he just irradiates kindness out of them, even though he's like the biggest dude. One of the biggest dude. [00:20:44] So the 512 deck is going from, it's now going to be $790. It was $550. So they're raising $240. And the one terabyte OLED deck is going to be jumping from up to $949, which is a $300 price increase. Damn. Jesus.

[00:22:41] No, it's supposed to be like September, September. It is September. Oh yeah. It's a day recently learned that a state of play did announce something else coming out in September. Yeah. Like, yeah. Cause September now just to, as like a prelude, September is stacked with, it is with, uh, releases. Holy crap. Okay, cool. Yeah. So I'm like, I get it. Like you have to make the hard decisions.
[00:23:11] Do you want to release it in the middle of when big titles are going to drop and you're going to get lost in the shuffle or release it when you. That's kind of a, that's a big, that's a big enough game where like, I understand the delay. It's got to have its own, you know, yeah. Then maybe they can do a date. Like then maybe the PlayStation version will be ready to go at launch too. Right.
[00:23:35] And I'm also very sure like it's that kind of franchise where they would come out with like at least a deluxe or a collector's edition for them. Cause it is a, that's a big game, especially finally on PS five. I don't, they wouldn't hold back. So like, I understand the delay as well. Now, speaking of grand theft auto, um, you know, there's a ton of rumors coming out about it now on what it's, what is potentially going to be happening. Yeah. I don't know about that whole payment system.
[00:24:04] I have not researched enough of the rumors yet. So we'll probably leave that for next week. Okay. To kind of discuss some of that stuff, because if it all is true, dude, really? That's all I got to say. That's what I like. Yeah. If it's purely for online, like, okay, maybe. Is it like a V-books thing? Yeah. But it's, it's, um. They're going to make you play it. They're going to be timed.
[00:24:35] Yeah. Go ahead, Matt. I was going to say one of the rumors where Jared was going is that it's timed. So basically you're going to get 10 hours for free. And then after that, you got to pay to play. But that 10 hours is like, if you're just decided to explore the map, like half the map for like five hours, that five hours is gone. Like then you have five hours left to play the game. Yeah. I don't think that's the total or is it like in total?
[00:25:04] And then, then you would have to, then you would have to buy more time or like it. Yes. I think they have a get a charge per, like per hour or like some sort of like pay as you go program, but I don't know if it would, it's going to that level. Yeah. Which is why I said I want to research. Yeah. I mean, I can understand maybe online, but if that's for like the, the, the main story
[00:25:32] and like paying for just exploring and like trying to get to, I don't know about that, dude. Well, the, the city and everything is going to be running out of their server, their data farm too. So, well, I mean, so I've granted we'll, we'll talk about it more, but like, uh, like I wouldn't be against a 10 hour limit per day type of deal, but as well as they're approaching on
[00:25:58] MMO RPG worlds to where that they do monthly subscriptions to be able to play anywhere too. But they're taking it a step further though. And going, well, you want to play five hours today. You want to play seven hours tomorrow. Well, guess what? You've only got five hours left. So you're going to have to pay for two more hours. If you want to pay, you want to play the game the rest of the month. Well, guess what? You got a pony up. Right. That's more than, you know, FF 14 at one point.
[00:26:25] You know, I don't know if it still is the same, but when have we known Xbox and go like, Oh, you do that. Let's double down. Yeah. But this is an Xbox. So this is like, this is rock star star. Yeah. I mean, this is, this is a, this is a very, that's a very strong play and a confident play. To think that they can like, but once again, I don't know if that's, if that's even a real
[00:26:53] thing, if that's a rumor, so everything is pretty much a rumor at this point. Right. Right. And I don't want to speculate too much, but some, but to the degree of what, what everyone's talking about is what we just discussed. And then, you know, whether we believe it or not, I honestly don't think it's going to head there unless they were doing something kind of like online. Right.
[00:27:21] And then, you know, that's my biggest question. Is it, is it for online or is it for the game itself? Which also means the main story, which is something that I am more, you know, playing. I never really played online. I replayed the story a lot and that would be, uh, if it's online only, I can see it. Like, yeah, I can understand that.
[00:27:45] But like, if it also includes like your time is allotted and you have to pay for, for offline and just for the story, that's, I ain't even paying $80 for the game at that point. Right. I mean, that's, I would have to consider like sleeping on it or just waiting or yeah, that's, that's ridiculous. So, um, yeah, I really hope those rumors aren't true. So. All righty. Let's, let's jump on over to PlayStation. PlayStation. Cause there's a bunch.
[00:28:13] So, uh, yesterday you've got the, uh, the fight stick, the pulse, like this is all stuff we talked about before, but we're finally actually getting some more information about this. So, so I actually, uh, feel, I actually wanted your opinion, uh, on it since you have done a lot of, uh, research. You've done the most research on monitors.
[00:28:35] Uh, I, for my interpretation, this one kind of feels like they started listening and this monitor might be pretty decent, but I would like your take on it. Okay. So let's get down to that piece. Cause we've got the wireless speakers. We've talked about those before.
[00:28:54] Um, like, so the gaming monitor, um, is going to be, um, 27 inches has a dual sense charger. Yeah. I mean, I think that's kind of their, hook right there. Right. That's kind of their novelty thing. You know what though? That's not a bad thing though, because then I could, I don't, I actually don't hate it. Cause it, I mean, it makes sense. I can take it. I can make a hard thing.
[00:29:20] Do you still have to do the cable or is it actually have the charger? No, it's, it's a charger. You just place it on and magnetically stays just kind of like the, the charger, the little chargers that we have on our, like I've got a charge of mine. So I would take that off my desk and make that on my monitor. So, um, so it is going to be, um, quad high def IPS display 25, 60 by 1440.
[00:29:51] It is going to have HDR on it. Um, it'll automatically adjust the HDR settings, you know, based on the PS five, you know, PS set up. So here's variable refresh rate, 240 Hertz, up one for PS five, you know, 240 for, for that. So there's your, your charging hook. It does actually fold up underneath. Yeah. And it can be mounted. Mm hmm. Right.
[00:30:20] Um, and it is going to launch August 27th for three 50. Okay. It's, it's a, it's a tad on the high side. Yeah. Yeah. For the panel as well as it's 1440 P. Uh, which is, I personally, I, I personally feel like 1440 P is, is great, especially for
[00:30:48] the form factor being 27 inches. Usually I go for, if it's a smaller form factor, go higher res. So I would prefer it to be 4k for 27 inches. If you go bigger, maybe go down to 1440. Um, if you're going to be doing it for PS five and PS five pro, right? When I mean really, wouldn't you want it to be 4k? Uh, consoles are putting it out. It kind of depends.
[00:31:15] So, cause I mean like it's really going to be with what your preferences. So like my personal preferences, I prefer a smoother picture more than a detailed picture. So I think that kind of helps with airing and improves my, uh, enjoyment of the picture. Usually you can still, it's almost hard to tell a difference between 1440 and 4k a little bit. Usually you can tell with lighting and shadows and stuff like that.
[00:31:45] So, so 1440 is like just below 4k. It's, it's technically. Would it be like two thirds, but it's, it's, it's known as 2k if anything. Okay. Okay. To make it simple. But, uh, like my personal preference is 1440, uh, usually because I don't ever scale anything. So I'm always at a hundred percent scale. So nothing's really too small.
[00:32:10] Um, with it being, I think 4k would be too much for the PS5 because it would probably limit its refresh rate down to 30 frames, maybe push 60 in certain games, which is kind of nullifying your quality of variable refresh rate in the monitor.
[00:32:35] So I think it's a smart choice that they went with 1440 P 120 Hertz for the PS5. Uh, and it does say that it goes up to 240 for when you're doing it with a PC, which is fine. Uh, it's still going to require a pretty decent and hefty graphics card to do that. You're going to need like a 30, 80 or higher in order to do that.
[00:32:56] Um, which is still something that's like about, uh, based on just like five years since 30, 3000 series, right? Something like that. So a five year old computer, uh, to be able to handle it, but, uh, price. So with that, I feel like the price did be closer to like 250 with where it's at. Um, so I think they're a little, a little, a little on the high side.
[00:33:25] I think to add on to Theo, I think what you're also paying for is the charger aspect of it, you know? Yeah. I get, I get that, but let's be, I mean, I don't like the positioning of it, like how close it is. And yeah, it's going to be wireless, but then it's going to be just this dangling hook where you have to kind of like banana, like banana hook it on. It's kind of weird.

And, and there's nothing wrong with 4k at 60 because like 4k at 60 is pretty close to like IMAX level. If you're in the theater. I run, I run all my games that fidelity. Because when you're in the theaters, nothing goes over 60 frames. Yeah. Nothing goes over 60 frames in film. So you're pretty good.
[00:35:16] So it's just going to be a matter of what you're looking for with the, uh, the smoothness of everything while you're doing actions in your games, which is why I do. It's going to be a better preference. If I have the option between performance and fidelity, I personally just go fidelity. Mm-hmm. And I like the spectrum. I go performance. So, yeah. Hmm. Um, so it'll be, uh, it'll be interesting to see what they do, you know? Um, but 350 is not, not terrible, you know?

Like, haven't we seen this in years past that as soon as it gets to summer, it's kind of the throwaways? Uh, yes and no. Um, yeah, because normally we have one, one game of the summer, you know, for, for the whole summer that everyone can enjoy. Everybody like it's a big hitter. Right now we're starting off a little weak and it's okay.
[00:38:30] No, so got July, but honestly, the closer we get to GTA six, I feel like the quality is going to be very mid at most, you know, we're not going to get this like, Oh no, we have amazing games. No, it's just going to be like, yo, this is like, there's always, there's all again. There's all again. There's all again. Oh, right. Okay. I see. I get it. All right.
[00:38:58] So with that being said, let us dive into today's state of play. There was a lot that was announced. I think there was a bit for everybody. Oh yeah. Um, so we got more story and everything of Ace Combat eight wings of the, um, here's my money. You know, we know me with Ace Combat, you know, immediately thought of you. Yep. Yep. So that'll be coming out in October.
[00:39:25] So it gives me a little bit of time to catch up on the rest of my pills. Cause I am still going to have, even though insurance took care of most of my surgery, I'm still probably gonna have a little bit, but, um, you got, uh, Bancho the chef. The chef. Not going to lie. This looked interesting. It kind of remind me of like cooking mama or like, yeah, that's what I was thinking. Like chop almost like trauma center. If you guys are big DS fans, it is the, it is the all is a standalone prequel to Dave the diver.
[00:39:56] Oh, okay. I don't even know what Dave. What? Um, so there was a game that came out called Dave, the diver where you're, you go out and you go fish, you'd bring it back in, go sell your stuff and all that. So that's the prequel to that. So, um, game. All right. Yeah. Control resident. It was interesting. Got a little bit more of the story. I liked control. So I'm kind of, uh, I never got into them, but, uh, this looked interesting.
[00:40:25] That'll be coming out in September. Uh, you got a game, uh, June awakening takes taking place within the movies and the book realms. This was, uh, already on PC for quite a while and streamed for a while. So it's finally hitting consoles. Um, it, it looks pretty cool. Um, yeah, check it out. If you guys are interested, it, it, it was dynasty warriors three. This was getting a remaster. This was a straight up hit of nostalgia.
[00:40:54] Like, Oh my gosh. Pretty cool. It looked really pretty. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh man. I feel like one that ended the show. God of war. Le Fay. The second I finished watching it, I was on the phone to Jerry. It's like, Oh, let's go. Um, I can't wait. And it looks great. It's so interesting. And I have a theory on the world where it's where everybody is starting to theorize. It's hilarious. Like, yeah, where are we at?
[00:41:23] Like really interesting. And if it's true, the way they go about it is very clever. Um, you know, because part of it was, you know, we've heard rumors for a while that they were going to Egypt's, you know, area and everything. And, you know, as Jerry, Jerry, you and I were talking, right. Is that, yeah. So the one main chick with the, I got it on, you know, got on the cat. Yeah. That's very much the Egyptian underworld. Mm hmm.
[00:41:51] But there's also signs of other Egyptian. Yeah. Yeah. There's signs of other gods though, like outside the realm. And then also kind of case in point, you know, the gelatinous cube. Yep. There's nothing Egyptian about that. So that's why, like my theory is that that's kind of the purgatory or like, the middle ground for gods before they ascend to their, um, various, uh, um, heavens or whatever,
[00:42:20] whatever their, you know, afterlifes are. Um, and because another indicator in the, in the trailer that, you know, one of the generals, uh, or main, um, bad villains said that the gate was closed. So we all, you know, we all can't, we're not, we're all stuck here.
[00:42:41] So that's why I, and plus all the different variations of races and, and, uh, even the, one of the other generals or the, the villains looks more, uh, of an Indian or, or Asian, uh, descent of the gods. Where, uh, I think that's why it's very clever. We're going to see, I think like a whole slew of different variations of gods or, uh, demigods or something in that like purgatory. So that's my theory.
[00:43:11] And, uh, but either way, the trailer was so good. Yes, it was like, and, um, it like every beat, like it felt like God of war. Like that was the coolest thing too. And, uh, and in true slap of the face fashion, uh, to Destiny that found out that it's moving to a maintenance period and Destiny 3 is not in production. Uh, marathon.
[00:43:40] They're all in on marathon. Yeah. They're season two. So they made sure to throw that in there. Um, but I don't know about you guys have heard, but I've heard it's, it's not like, like going well, the numbers of like players are not. No, it was, it was a, it was a short lived high. That's all it was. Right. Right. Yep. All right. So we have more information on, uh, this look cool.
[00:44:07] So they introduced the Knights of doom, which is going to be two Magneto, Green Goblin and carnage. They are going to be included as part of the roster. Nope. I got a buddy who is so excited about that one. He's dedicating to like, you know, like tournament worthy. Like he is really into this game. No, I will let you guys know at the end of the month when I go to Eva. Yeah. Let me know. Cause like it looks interesting. It looks like it's quick, but you know, it's cool.
[00:44:37] A Marvel versus Capcom feel to it. Yeah. I mean, that's what they're shooting for. They're shooting for the old school, like not like Marvel. I love Marvel. And a lot of the character choices are like interesting. Like, okay. Like that's a pretty cool one. That one's different. You know, I've, I'm, I'm kind of enjoying it too. It looks cool. My boy Cyclops. That's all I'm saying. Give me Cyclops. Cause I'll be back versus like the street fighter versus X-Men. There you go. Speaking of Wolverine.
[00:45:07] Oh my God. We got to see a, uh, extended gameplay trailer on it. Um, we have a date. I hate, we have a date. You know, um, I, I want God of War more than I want this game. Same. Oh, that's really difficult for me. Oh, I know. It's difficult for you. Like for me, it's like, dude, they want to bowl heavy, but they went. Yeah. Um, this is very much an M for mature. Oh yeah.
[00:45:37] And that's why I can't wait. And it's, it's made by, um, it's insomniac. It's insomniac. Correct. Yeah. So who did the, the Spider-Man games? They were amazing. And then we got to see. I was just hoping that they would do some, a little bit more creative with the mechanics. Like it just looked like a copy paste of mechanics and from like a Arkham or a Spider-Man, you know, just, but we'll see how it goes. But we did get Jean Grey.
[00:46:05] I'm just hoping the story out does it. Um, now I want to ask your opinion on this. I think it will. How did you feel about Jean Grey and Sabertooth? And Mystique? Uh, I like the looks. I mean, that, that's the thing with insomniac. And also what I loved what they did in the Spider-Man, uh, their verse was that they made the characters their own. They, you know, Sabertooth looked interesting. He looked, I think more kind of rogue.
[00:46:35] He had his own kind of like armor and, or of a suit, you know, Omega rad looked great, but also like not as distinct. Like he looked, he looked different in a good way. I like Jean being more of like the modest, like trench coat, like maybe emulating Cyclops a little bit, like something, maybe something happened or she misses him or that's, you know, so, uh, that's what I'm, I'm excited about. I think this, I agree with you, Theo.
[00:47:05] I think the combat and everything, you know, they may have taken some pages from their past games, but I, I definitely agree and think that the story will out, outdo it or, uh, or, or, um, make it worth it. Okay. Yeah. All right. Then we had a trailer for ill first person horror game.
[00:47:27] Uh, you had this was going to, that was going to be another variation of resident evil for a moment because it was starting to have that kind of feel, but then, uh, yeah. So that looked interesting. Um, yeah. Um, yeah. Um, yeah. Um, which is coming out from, uh, Annapura is doing the publishing for it. Um, no rest for the wicked. That one looked pretty interesting. I kind of thought about you a little bit. Uh, you might like that one as the, uh, RPG.
[00:47:57] See, and I, I liked Ori and the blind forest. I haven't played will of the wisps yet. I have it on my, my switch. Oh, dang. This was the same company that made those studios. That was a nice, uh, that was a nice surprise that that, um, that franchise. Cause it, I mean, I think it was huge during the PS2 era. Yeah. Way back. Yeah.
[00:50:59] So that's pretty cool. I'm not familiar with the franchise. Yeah. It's been, it's been dormant for so long for, yeah, that's, that's kind of cool that it's making a comeback. So you have, uh, the lost wild. This was interesting. It basically you you're surviving Jurassic park basically. Yeah. Okay. I think I saw it. And then we got, we got two Raider legacy of Atlantis, um, which is coming out in February.
[00:51:28] It looked amazing. Oh yeah. How they've rebuilt that thing from the ground up and it's, it looks fantastic. And I will probably read by the new look. Um, it's not necessarily a new look. It's so the facial features and everything is it's a different Laura. Laura, it is a different, uh, of actress. Um, but I believe this version is based on like the, uh, the first Sony version and then they have another version. That's a bit more current. Yes.

So that's kind of been taking up my attention for a little while.

[01:00:36] Um, as my first play through. And then, um, I think tomorrow I'm going to get a double seven first light. I, I think I'm going to definitely get that. I really want to know how much of like, how much it feels like uncharted. I really want to know how much. So even I was even telling Matt from, uh, the, the one of the YouTubers that like really just streams his playthrough.
[01:01:02] Um, even he mentions a number of times that the combat and the, uh, gunplay really feel a lot like uncharted. It's more of, and what I'm gathering from his gameplay, the hit men, um, portion of the game is, uh, like all of the world and the mission, like the interactive little things that getting the collectibles. That's where I think, uh, I think it's, it's IOI.
[01:01:31] Is it IOI or one-on-one it's crystal dynamics or crystal. Okay. Crystal dynamics. Um, that's where they're really shining because all of their knowledge from hit men is blooming in, in, uh, double seven. Cause it is IOI. It is IOI. Okay. Thank you. Um, it is, I'll be honest. I didn't realize there was a company actually called IOI. I was just thinking you were ready. It's IO. Ready player one. Yeah.
[01:02:01] Yeah. I would interactive. Um, they did. That's crazy. There's a real like IOI. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Sorry. But, uh, that's, that's where the game, I think that's where like the game as a whole is shining because one, um, like they're great storytellers. So the story is strong.
[01:02:21] Um, the, the gameplay, they really changed up for the format where it feels different, but where they shine is like the surrounding world and like the multiple. Uh, ways you can like take in each, um, mission. It's like, it really is kind of like, it is an open world, but it's very freeing.
[01:02:48] Like if I want to climb and get a more of a high point, I can, or I can sneak in, or I can just try and schmooze my way through the front. Like it's actually to your choice and, uh, yeah, it's just looking really good. So I'm going to try it. Okay. Well, for me, we know it as well, but yeah, Matt, you go. Um, so Lego Batman, you know that you've been logging on the, uh, PlayStation. I get the notifications.
[01:03:19] Anyway. So Lego Batman released the day before I went in, so I didn't get a chance to really play it. Cause there's a lot going on. Um, but really quick, I got one. Oh my gosh. That's awesome. So, oh, this is awesome, dude. So finally, uh, you've had it for, for a bit, right? I played with it. So yeah, please give us your review. Cause like, I think we've all been curious. It's, it's nice.
[01:03:47] I was able to sit in the recliner and play some gaming, you know, my first day or two home from the hospital when I didn't really want to sit much. Um, the kids are having a blast with it. Um, you know, at first they started calling it the PlayStation switch. Uh, that's mortal dude. I mean, that's fair. That's fair. Yeah. So what they do is right. One will be sitting on the couch playing the other ones at my desk watching and giving them like, Oh, Hey, there's a blue one over there. You know, like, Oh, that's so cool.
[01:04:17] I did that. I did that with my brother. When we need, when we play Final Fantasy and stuff. Oh, I love that. That's cool. Yeah. It's it. It doesn't weigh all that much. You know, it feels comfortable with the, it's a dual. It's a dual sense, you know, just with a screen in the middle of it. So how does it feel with like precision games? Like, like first person shooters. Yeah. I was going to ask it. Like, how does it feel? There's only two games I've played on it is like a Batman. Okay.
[01:04:45] And then one of the other games I'm working on is God of war sons of Sparta. Okay. So sons of Sparta though, that's a Metroidvania style game side scroller. Um, there are a lot of enemies and there was super clean. Yeah, it does. It looks super clean on the portal. Um, no lag on it that I found. Cool. So far. So, um, so yeah, so I've got, uh, sons of Sparta going. I love the game. I am totally addicted to it right now.
[01:05:14] Um, totally worth the $30 that I spent for it 30 or 40 bucks, either one. But yeah, uh, it's a great game. Um, you get, this is basically Kratos, uh, when he was a teenager. That's awesome. Growing up in the ranks of Sparta. Um, and his brother exploring. So, and then finally, um, I finally got a chance to fire up and only played about first hour of it, but south of midnight. Oh yeah. I'm jealous. Yeah. I want to get that one too. It's gorgeous. It is gorgeous.
[01:05:44] Yeah. That's a good looking, that's a story as well. Good looking game. Interesting to see where it goes, you know? Um, but at the end of the day, it's been, yeah. You have to let us know. [01:07:02] Um, but with everything going on in the world, guys, um, is especially if you, and I'm going to defend the nurses here with us is that if you have to go into the hospital for something, you know, please not only be excellent to everybody you run into, but especially the nurses treat them, they're people. They're trying to do a job that they're there to help you with.
[01:07:26] Um, there's no reason to berate them, you know, or anything like that. Um, cause I re I felt really bad for my cardiac unit nurses. Cause I had a lady across the hall, kept complaining about her cigarettes. She wanted to be smoking in the hospital in her room. We want to say a thank you to them. Cause they, they did take care of our guy.
[01:07:49] You know, to all of, all of the staff at, um, Mary Washington in, in Fredericksburg from the surgical team and a seizure team, the nurses all the way down, ICU and step down unit, everybody was fantastic. Um, so yeah, it was an experience, but having people there that actually care made it all the worse. So please just, yeah, be excellent to each other. That's right. All you nerds out there.
[01:08:19] Uh, we got, we are a full boat. We got our, our main man back, uh, and our, uh, are happy to see you back, Matt and, and, uh, recovering, uh, boys. I missed you too. It was, uh, it felt like a bit to, since I've seen you. Um, I want to send the same message out there as we usually do all of you, please.
[01:08:44] Uh, you know, it's, it's getting crazy, even crazier, uh, out there now than, uh, more than ever. So we all got to continue trying to be a little bit more open, a little bit more patient. And like you were saying with a lot of the hospital staff, please do take care of them. Please do like they are trying their hardest, but they also have to follow their own protocol. You know? I mean, it's not gonna lie. It's for them. It's literally life or death. So, you know, um, just take that into account. Uh, be, be, be, be chill with them.
[01:10:43] Be able to chill with them a lot more, especially if they have that much quote unquote power in that. Um, but anyways, you know, it's been quite a while. It's been a couple of weeks.
