[00:00:24] Yeah, and the maitre d'oe services, the man with the couch, also the man without a Final Fantasy 14 attempt shirt this week, the man, the myth, the legend, the lion's mane Jason Belletio. Oh! How's it going guys? How's it going? Yeah, you know, it's been a while. I haven't played Final Fantasy 14 in quite a while as well, you know.
[00:00:52] I mean, you realize 2019 was the last E3 in person. God dang, bro. Wow! Think about that. It is 2026. So we are going seven years since E3. 2020 was the all digital event and then we, which we all know, bombed miserably.
[00:01:16] It was not an event at all. Oh yeah, the, uh, attempted digital, you know, it was terrible. So, real quick to go down memory lane really quick before we get jump into everything because this has been kind of a big start to what we would have called an E3 week, right? Because Xbox would have done their showcase on Sunday, PlayStation on Monday, and we'd be kicking off E3 on a Tuesday.
[00:01:42] Mm-hmm. But, uh, I've been on the hunt for this particular shirt that we got at E3 for a very long time. Because I haven't been able to find an extra large. But guess what? Oh, nice! The Uncharted 4, that's awesome! Now, granted, it is the, uh, PlayStation Experience 2015 shirt. Oh, sweet. But we all got the look, this was the, this was the shirt that we got. Oh man, PlayStation Experience.
[00:02:10] You know, at, uh, at E3. The reason I've been on the hunt for it is because, um, when my oldest son was born, um, my buddy and I painted his room, his nursery and everything. And we had that shirt and I was going to do it, get it framed and everything for him. And we put our hand prints in paint and put it on the shirt kind of like a, oh, cool. So like, I haven't had the shirt. So like, I'm like, I've been on a hunt for an extra large.
[00:02:39] Finally found one brand new in packaging on eBay. Cool. So. Good find. Yeah. Yeah. You know, like the, and I usually find some good stuff on eBay. Yeah. Um, but yeah, let's, uh, let's get, let's get to this. Let's go hot, jump into the, uh, into the theater. Cause we've got three different presentations to talk about tonight. That's right.
[00:03:09] Um, we have summer game fest. We have the Xbox showcase, and then we do have. The Nintendo direct, which happened today. So let's start off with, uh, summer game fest. I kind of just went over to IGN, um, to help. Cause they've, it was a lot and there's a lot to read off. Mm hmm. You know, summer game fest. It was a total of 35.
[00:03:36] I probably missed a couple in there, but like 35 ish titles. They were all revealed. Wow. Summer game fest. Um, so on their list, they kind of hit the big one. Uh, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Number three. Number three is coming out in spring of 2027.
[00:03:58] Um, now, um, the disappointing, um, part of this though, is that, uh, Tyler Hoechlin is not returning as the voice of Sephiroth. Yeah, dude. I saw that one. I looked at it. I was like, Oh my God. Yeah. Weird. Oh my God. It here's my thing is I don't, I wonder how strict square wanted to be on this because
[00:04:27] you know, they're citing scheduling, but the only thing that Tyler had scheduling wise was the fourth season of Superman and Lois. And then just conventions and stuff. He hasn't like, he had a movie that he was, that's in post production right now. So I don't see why they couldn't have worked around his schedule to keep him. Um, because when you listen to the trailer, there is a stark difference between the Sephiroth that we had in one and two and the Sephiroth we're getting for part three.
[00:04:57] Um, which is, it, it's not, it's just Travis, just Travis, different person. It's well, yeah, Travis, Willinghead from, uh, from critical role. Don't get me wrong. He is an amazing voice actor. Oh yeah. But to change voice actors at the, for the very last game, cause Tyler, you gotta figure Tyler also did crisis core. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:05:27] So he has, I mean, he has a rapport with, with the fans. Like this is definitely a big, a big move. Um, I mean, they had to finish it. So we're, we're going to see, uh, uh, what the next one's going to be like, but it's definitely going to feel a different though. But, uh, yeah, but it looks great. We got to see Vincent, uh, Valentine doing his magic plus Sid. So I'm looking forward to it.
[00:05:54] Um, you know, the trailer looked great. Um, yeah. So, uh, along with that, they also, uh, it was announced that, uh, Tifa is coming to street fighter six. That was a really cool trailer. Um, and she fits, right? It's one of those ones. Oh yeah. The fighting games. Totally add in people. It's like when it comes to street fighter, like, oh, that's, that's a good idea. Yeah. Like Tifa, obviously some of the other characters I don't know, but they look pretty cool.
[00:06:24] That whole, that DLC looks pretty, pretty sweet. Yep. Um, stellar blade two was announced as well. And it's subtitled, uh, blood rain. It looked gorgeous. Yeah. Um, after a couple of years, uh, hiatus, Oh my God. I can't wait on this too. And we are getting a remaster in, uh, holiday this year, which I will pick up because I love Wolf Among Us.
[00:06:54] I have so many different versions of that game. It's not even funny. Um, but it's, it's good because that was announced like two, three years ago that it was coming. Yeah. So it's kind of been, everybody's been waiting for it and it's like, well, is it really coming now? Um, and the trailer looked cool too. Yeah. That was a good one. Yep. Uh, power world is getting an update. Yeah. On July 10th attack on Titan three.
[00:07:24] It's kind of, we're, we're, uh, we're happy about that one. Uh, you've got clutch, which is a new racing game. That's coming from, um, a lot of some of the guys that used to do the original Forza horizon. Um, they kind of went off and started their own studio. Um, so we're going to see spring of 2027. We're getting a new open world racer. Um, so we'll see how that does. Um, you know, when you're going up against, you know, Grand Turismo and Forza, that's a big, big mountain to climb.
[00:07:52] Uh, especially look at the popularity of Forza six on the Xbox, and it is going to be coming to the PlayStation eventually. Um, you got Hot Wheels, infinite rush, uh, monster hundred miles, uh, sentence. So you're getting the expansion for it. Um, among us had some news. So you get, uh, among us story on guard, which is gonna be standalone, but they're also
[00:08:19] doing, uh, an animated series. Oh, gnarly. Oh, that's right. Yeah. Yeah. They also show that voice actors that are in it is the cast is big. The cast is big. Um, let's pull up. Let's go ahead. I don't know where IMDB really quick. Um, yeah.
[00:08:47] So it's when you look at them, like it's everybody. We, everybody knows right from a, um, so Ashley Johnson, Randall. I think it's just like the colors. Yeah. It's just as a colors. You've got Elijah Wood, Liv Houston, Kimiko Glenn, Phil Amart, like to Rosen. Oh yeah. Wayne Knight. Patton Oswalt. Patton Oswalt. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:09:17] So those are a lot of big names, especially these three. So many. A lot of big names. That's really cool. The trailer was funny too. So it just, yeah, it looks like they're going with the, the whole study. Yeah. That's funny. Yep. And then you got. Blood of the Dawn Walker. It did look interesting. And I didn't know that it was originally, it was some of the folks that helped make Witcher 3. Yeah. It feels like it's got that tone to it. Um, you know, it's, it looked good.
[00:09:47] Um, both the trailers, then we got a Star Wars zero company, which is a, um, tack RPG. Yep. Um, they're the, the same for it's from the same makers who do, uh, yeah. X-Com. Yeah. Thank you. So it'll be interesting that those are, those are not quite, you know, pure tactical RPGs. Yeah. You saw the tactical elements of it, but then you actually control your character when you're actually doing some of the things it's like, uh, Valkyria Chronicles.
[00:10:18] Um, so we'll see how it, um, you know, how it turns out on that one. Um, Lords of the Fallen 2. Um, this was announced for, um, at Summer Game Fest, but we also found out today it is going to be coming to the Switch 2 as well. So, um, then you got saw Genesis, which is a, uh, multiplayer. It's a three on one.
[00:10:44] Um, you know, if you're a fan of saw, you're going to like it just from the trailer. It was like, yeah, it's right up their alley. Um, so you've got, um, so the original creators of Assassin's Creed, like number one, going all the way back to the OG, um, created, uh, 1666 Amsterdam. Um, it looks really good. Yeah.
[00:11:08] Apparently the witches, apparently this has been like in the works for like a while and like, they've had the game like in the, like almost pretty much complete. Yeah. Or something like it's been in the pipeline for a while and it's finally like it's, it was a passion project, I guess, from those creators. So yeah, it's going to be PC first and then console later. Um, then we got, uh, mafia old country expansion.
[00:11:38] Oh yeah. Uh, you know, man of honor. Um, RuneScape dragon wilds was announced. Um, you know, it'd be coming to, uh, series X, S also confirmed PS five. And in, we'll talk about it in the direct. It was also confirmed on the direct. That's right. Switch to, uh, virtual fighter crossroads. Um, is it going to be the same virtual fighter? It's, it, it looks like it, it's got a story mode and everything to it.
[00:12:07] Like it's like, it's not the same like virtual fighter we're used to, you know, it's going to be a one on. It's definitely a one on one, like fighter kind of like I'm thinking street fighter, but it has like, I mean, so did street fighter. It had a story mode. So, but this one looks more like full on story mode. Like you're actually going to places. Oh yeah. Like it's not a, like a one, like a, a one on one. Like it, it may have like an actual story mode.
[00:12:37] Yeah. It's going to, it's going to be have an actual story mode, but within it, you have your, your fighting and stuff like that too. Right. But it's, it, it's a full on story. So to Jason's point, we'll see what this is going to really be like. Yeah. You know, um, you know, Guild Wars three got announced, which it's been a while since we've seen Guild Wars on the scene. Um, it is going to be, uh, they did mention it's PC and PS5, but we don't know about Xbox.
[00:13:06] Yeah. Um, then you have, uh, Crossfire, which is, um, some of the former developers from the Call of Duty franchise. Um, I've created this, so it looked, I mean, it looked good. It looked like you would expect, you know, from a Call of Duty-esque game. So, um, Gundam Rogue Orbit, which this one, this trailer looked awesome.
[00:13:32] Like, I'm not a fan of, um, Gundam at all, like the games and stuff, but it looked, it looked awesome. So, um, and a lot of people have been waiting for a new, new Gundam game, uh, Gundam game. So it's going to be coming out, you know, Xbox, um, next year. This is the one you were super excited about Jerry. Yes. I can't believe it.
[00:13:55] I thought it was in, in development hell, but, uh, or it was like canceled, but yeah, it was, it's being done by Parabelle Games. Uh, it is from Platinum Games, which we all know well from Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden 4, Nier Autonomous, um, or your Onomata. Yeah, rather. Um, mm-hmm.
[00:14:17] It, it was a teaser, but I know you being our resident Last Ronin fan, um, you know, I know you got excited for it. So I can't wait to see this. Like, I can't wait to see what, yeah, what they're, where it's going to go. Yep. And then, um, you've got Hex, which is like a sci-fi shooter, which I didn't know it was some of the folks behind one of our games. Oh, dang. Neither did I.
[00:14:47] Um, so, that's just, that are interesting to see. Um, it looked kind of cool. Cold premise, sci-fi shooter. Um, I need to see more on it though, before I kind of go, okay, that'd be worth a try. Right. Um, you had stranger than heaven was announced. Um, this was weird. This was, it was so weird seeing Tupac. Yeah. I was wondering like, like, okay, that wasn't, you know, that's a choice. Cool.
[00:15:17] But, but so weird. That's a choice. So Snoop, Snoop walked out on the stage, right? And was talking about, he's in the game too. And they asked him about Tupac. And I guess apparently they were working with the Tupac estate to do this. Um, very, like very close. It was Snoop and his son working with Tupac's family, um, to have him in the game because they felt that he fit in the game. So, um, you know, it's interesting.
[00:15:47] Okay. It's, you know, you still like when you see images of Tupac, like, and for anybody that grew up in that era, when that, when death row was around and Tupac was making his music, it was certainly a surprise. Yeah. You know, it was like, man, that's, that's a little teary eyed because he, he was gone way too early. He had some good, good stuff that, you know, spoke volumes. Um, so then he had a blood message. Uh, it's from net ease. The guys, this one looked good. Yep.
[00:16:17] Uh, Jen Atlas. So this is, uh, for me to, uh, wait a, he is the creator of Ico shadow of the Colossus, uh, last guardian. Yeah. So this is a game that got announced last year. Um, under project, it was called project robot at the same time or at that time last year. So it's good seeing him back. I know there's a lot of fans of Ico and shadow of the Colossus. I've played shadow of the Colossus. It was, it was okay.
[00:16:47] It wasn't for me, but I think you're, you're quite the fan, aren't you? Cause you really like last guardians. Yes. Me and Ron, both, uh, me and Warren both are, uh, fans of it. Uh, cause, because it's more story and like lore, uh, versus like gameplay. I mean, the gameplay is good, but like there's more story and lore that's behind a lot of his games and it is very niche.
[00:17:15] So of course it's a love hate. There's no like people like, Oh yeah, it's all right. No, it's either love it or you kind of hate it because of that. Like dynamic, you know, you're going to like, for example, the shadow of the Colossus, you're fighting all these Colossus that you have no idea why. I mean, you have one reason to do it and you do it and you find out that you just been screwing
[00:17:42] over the world, you know, pretty much in a nutshell, you know, Ico you're, you're literally just wandering. You're trying to protect this girl. Just do this entire like ordeal. You're like, all right. And then everything has the aha moment, you know, all of his game have an aha moment. Oh, yep. You know, kind of like how Bioshock does it.
[00:18:12] That's why we kind of gravitate towards those because you're looking for the, the, the whole experience rather than like, how hard is this game or how long is this game or the stats of the game, you know, like it's, it's typically there's no, it's just skill and story. Yes. And that's, that's what he's used to. That's what, what is famous for. Mm-hmm.
[00:18:44] So I, the trailer looked great on it. It's one of those ones. I want to see more of it because I am. It's, it's definitely, I guess that is definitely going to be a love for a lot of people. Yeah. Um, then we got a creative assembly announced it, uh, alien isolation too. So that was pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. The trailer looked awesome. I'm just like, that really had the alien feel to it.
[00:19:12] So I didn't call that at the beginning of the trailer either. Like he was a good, really good setup. All right. So studio MDHR announced that there is a cuphead sequel coming as well as a mighty cuphead adventure, which is a 8 bit retro title. It is straight up side scroller, platformer, 2d, 8 bit, like straight up. So it looks kind of cool.
[00:19:41] So, um, then what kicked off the show was the announcement that we're getting Resident Evil Veronica, which is the remake of code Veronica, which I'm going to pick up, which yeah, because code Veronica is one of my favorite Resident Evils behind 2d4. I'm going to pick it up, yeah. So I will absolutely get it. And it looks really good.
[00:20:07] Um, so that is summer game fest in a nutshell. You know, there were certainly more titles, but there, those were the bulk, the bulk of the stuff. Um, then we moved over to the Xbox showcase. And Jason, we're going to need to, uh, I'm going to have to have you utter a word tonight. Twice.
[00:20:37] That hurts. Yeah. It hurts. Um, I mean, it's, it's possible. It's got potential, but, but what's this word here? What's this word, Jason? What's that word? It's exclusive. It took, it took 10 years, but then to get, uh, come back to it. To come back to it. Come back into it. So what we've, maybe you want to get an Xbox out.
[00:21:02] Maybe after, you know, maybe after this entire, what is Xbox series X and S and yeah. You know, after this whole little generation. Well, they're kind of doubling down on the, on the X and S. Yeah. But we've been seeing this for a while, right? If you want to sell consoles, you need to have a reason for people to buy our console. Oh yeah. And what's the way to have people buy your console? Exclusives.
[00:21:32] So, you know, I, I, I think Asha is doing a lot of great things along with Matt Booty. Um, you know, we all kind of questioned like what, what's Asha going to really do with the Xbox brand? Because, you know, she's coming in from AI. Well, what has she done? She's killed co-pilot on the Xbox. They've lowered the price on game pass. They're going back to exclusives. Um, they're really listening to the fans a lot more and trying to drive this.
[00:21:59] Um, first and foremost though, um, you know, they did, uh, announce this, the, the 25th edition. Yeah. Uh, here we go. Yeah. That brings back memories. Yeah. Because I had the, the halo to, Oh, the O G Xbox. Oh, that one was cool. That same color green. Yeah. Translucent and everything. So, um, definitely brings back some memories.
[00:22:29] Um, it looks really cool. Um, they haven't really done, you know, said when it's going to be, um, coming out yet. So it's pretty much going to be the, the one terabyte disk drive, the carbon black version, just with the translucent case on it. And everybody that has gone hands on with the same, that was at, uh, game showcase said
[00:22:59] it looks really, really cool in person. So, I mean, when you look at the lineup, I mean the, the story, the galaxy one looks kind of cool, but you know, that just, that screams, yeah. Yeah. And the thing I got to thinking about it is like, it really has been 25 years because I can remember in September of, um, Oh one, you know, when Xbox and like that whole one,
[00:23:29] when Xbox was coming out and I can remember even Oh two going over to friends for land parties and being introduced to halo, you know, to, to think back that it's been 25 years already for Xbox. Wow. Yep. So we'll see, we'll see what Xbox does because you know, I, I really hope that they do. And I know that like I said, like I said last time everyone right now is dodging the GTA six bullet. Mm.
[00:23:58] So like, you know, I know they, uh, push back fable, um, which it needed to like fable would have gotten crushed. Yeah. No, man. And there's a lot more that just needed to be like worked on now. Hopefully like, so I know where, I know where things that come up. Jerry is going to, uh, I know where Jerry is going to be the saddest about this with some of these announcements is, uh, gears of war.
[00:24:28] E day is going to be Xbox exclusive. Wow. It will not make its way to PlayStation. See? So I just brought back on their word. It's okay. That's okay. That's right. They never, I don't remember them ever saying E day was coming to PlayStation. Yeah, they did. So, but you know, they included it along with halo and pay. It's okay. I mean, look, look at, look at the, look at the games that they have though.
[00:24:56] I mean, no, like, so I saw flight similar age vampires. Yeah. But I just, you know, they're finally getting some RPGs like persona. This is a good, it's a good lineup. They got the, it is a good lineup. Um, you know, six, Dano's halo Metro. I mean, there's a Metro come back. You know, there's a cool collector's edition that's already sold out on the Xbox studio store. Fables got a really cool looking collector's edition and Minecraft. Senua,
[00:25:25] which is the third in the series. You know, long save the K three residents of play tale legacy. Um, clockwork orange or clockwork revolution, which is a game that I, when they first debuted it, what a year ago, I thought it looked really cool. And that is going to be a exclusive. Hmm. So it will not make its way to, um, PlayStation. You've got Spyro, which we know all three, including on the direct, um,
[00:25:55] the PlayStation, you know, uh, state of play had it on there as well. Doom, the dark ages. We talked about P four and P six, you know, Castlevania, Belmont's curse, making a comeback after having that, like, Oh, honest blockbuster of the Netflix series. Hopefully they capitalize on that. Dude. Crazy taxi. Unbelievable. Yeah. Yeah. Right. Unnecessary. Unnecessary. Unnecessary. Unnecessary. Waste of time, waste of space.
[00:26:26] It was fun in arcades. Really? That is quite the take. I was actually like, okay, that's pretty cool for some, you know, I was all right. Like, okay. Make a comeback. It's a 10 minute game, bro. It's a 10 minute game. I mean, it's been a while since we had crazy taxi, right? So, you know, is it, is it going to be good enough to bring back the nostalgia plus the new? I mean, it's not. Yeah. It's definitely not a game that like, Oh, okay. I'll buy an Xbox for it. All this is five bucks.
[00:26:55] No, it's not worth it. I'd rather get a sneak king before I get crazy taxi, bro. So as we look at these titles that were announced right during the showcase, Fable is still coming to PlayStation. It was actually in the, in the direct that actually had the PlayStation logo and everything on it. So I think what's probably going to end up happening is you're going to have it be day of when it launches next year.
[00:27:25] Cause they were possibly trying to do it day of or not. Um, I think it's going to have Fable and, uh, Halo combat of old, uh, Halo. I have already pre-ordered. Yeah. I think we can do that. Uh, at the end of work is only, it is only $50. Um, if you want like the digital art book and stuff, it's an extra, like 10 bucks, 10, 20 bucks. But I was like, no, I don't need digital artwork. Cause I've got the, the hardcover art book for halo.
[00:27:54] Um, so I've, I've, I cannot wait to dive into halo. Like if they had said it was going to be an Xbox exclusive, I, I, I might have to consider because it's halo. Like, yeah, but it's, it's coming out for PS5. Yes, it is coming out for PS5. What I'm saying is though, is if they had said in the direct, oh, you would consider it. I would have been like, Ooh, no, maybe you need to think about having that access because it is, it's halo.
[00:28:23] Oh, at that point then I would have said Fable on Xbox, you know, not worried about getting out on the PlayStation, you know, that sort of thing. But, um, now residence is going to be a residence of play tale. Legacy is going to be on PlayStation as well. Um, persona for revival. I'm assuming that's going to be, you know, PS5, um, state of decay three is going to be PS5. Um, the sea of thieves update is coming to the PlayStation as well.
[00:28:52] Cause it's just for the entire game. Metroid, uh, Metro rather, uh, 20, 39 is PlayStation. Uh, the bad magpie, which actually is kind of funny. It looked like silly goose. Uh, that is going to be a console exclusive to the Xbox. Um, will long will be, uh, PlayStation. Yeah. Uh, there's a game called, uh, join us, which is an on here that they announced during there. It's where you basically get to start a cult. It's like an online game where you start a cult.
[00:29:22] Uh, that's going to come to PlayStation. Senua is going to be PlayStation. Um, good. Good. Took a while. I had to buy it on. Then found out that it was on PlayStation. I was like, son of a. Oh, dang. Um, magicians, the devil's den, which looked really cool. Uh, that's going to be on PlayStation. Valor mortis is PlayStation. Um, Belmont's curse, but that was announced for several consoles and everything. Um, yeah.
[00:29:53] Varium is going to be console exclusive. Um, I mentioned the clockwork revolution and then, um, you know, Matt Booty did in the end it by talking about, you know, they're really celebrating 25 years and really highlighted the exclusivity coming back, which honestly, it needed to happen. I get it. So long ago. Yeah, I get it.
[00:30:20] People, you know, bitch and moan about the whole console wars and it needs to be over with. But at the end of the day, if you want to sell your console, you need, you need a reason for people to buy your console. Of course. There was no reason in the last couple of years under, and I, as much as we love Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond and what they were doing for Xbox and trying to do and what they had to come back for, you know, with, you know, after the metric incident with, uh, you know, the Xbox one. Yeah.
[00:30:49] And saying, Hey, this is, you know, all of it, they had a, a, you know, a tall hill to climb, but I think moving as much as we benefited from it, because one of the games I've been playing and I'm hooked on is compulsion games is south of midnight. And that was originally going to be an exclusive and then they basically moved it to PlayStation as well.
[00:31:13] So, you know, am I benefiting from some Xbox games that are currently installed on my PlayStation? Yes, because I've got Forza and I'll get Forza six when they bring that out. I'll get Fable. I'll get, I've already got Halo pre-ordered, but all these games now, if they were exclusive to the Xbox and stayed exclusive. Now that more of the stuff's coming out now, I, I would have to consider like, Ooh, do I have, do I just get all three?
[00:31:41] You know, do I have the switch, the PlayStation, the Xbox? So I'm playing everything, you know, that I want to play. So, um, overall really solid game showcase. Um, I'd like the direction that Asha and Matt are taking Xbox right now. Um, and I think their, their community, their community needed this badly because you know, for, for years they've been going, well, what about us? Yeah.
[00:32:11] I think this was a good, I think this was a good, good start, a good little jolt to get the fans kind of like, Oh, okay. Kind of like get the spark going that, you know, like you said, the direction they're heading, uh, is, is looking very promising. Yes, absolutely. Especially for the fans. All right. So let's move to Nintendo. Yeah. All right.
[00:32:37] So, uh, they started off with a rhythm game, uh, rhythm, heaven groove. Then we had, uh, Onomusha. We have the, but I'm getting there really. It looked good on the. Uh, the switch to the switch to no. Yep. You had, uh, dragons, dragons, dark, dark, risen. Mm. Uh, stellar blade. No, no, but that one looked pretty cool. I mean, it's a beautiful looking game.
[00:33:05] Yeah, but it's, it's a port switch. Oh yeah. It was on PlayStation, but I don't know if it's a, uh, a Nintendo type game. Oh, yep. Um, then you had, uh, orbitals, which is kind of like a, it's a co-op. And I may, I guess. Oh yeah. Like kind of like it takes two or the, um, similar to that. That one looked interesting. That one looked fun. Yep. So we got, uh, Raymond legends retold again.
[00:33:35] So we've now seen, we saw it, you know, multiple places talking about it all slightly different trailers. Um, then you had a big walk, which I was like, okay. Yeah. I mean, interesting. So Jason's creative is very much a Nintendo game. Yeah. This is more of a Nintendo. Um, you have one piece grand gourmet where basically. Cooking mama with one piece. Cooking mama with a one piece. One piece. Yeah. Yep.
[00:34:04] Uh, Pocopia is getting, uh, a free update. Free update. Right. In August where you can go underwater and then expansions. And then you've got paid DLC coming, um, which is, uh, first launches in August. And then a couple of months later is the second one. And then the third one, um, fire emblem fortunes weave. Um, you know, it's making its debut on the switch too.
[00:34:31] So, um, you know, it looks like every other fire emblem, you know, um, I love fire emblem. Um, but it's not one of those games that would be, make me go get a switch to right now. Yeah. Um, then you had an Anjala to the uncharted planet. Uh, Donkey Kong challenge event, uh, is going to be coming, uh, for switch to owners.
[00:34:56] So you can go back and play some of the older donkey Kong games to earn collectibles and unlock bonuses and stuff like that. Um, they're also getting, uh, Mario content as DLC. And Bonanza, that's cool. You know, where you can dress up as Mario and Luigi. And when you break stuff, you see like question mark blocks and stuff like that. Um, you know, then you've got, uh, Jujutsu and Kaisen, uh, it's got a new, um, offshoot coming. Hmm.
[00:35:25] And that will be, uh, switch and switch two as well. Um, mentioned this earlier, Lords of the Fallen, switch two. Lies of P is coming to the switch. The complete edition. That's, that's really cool. Yep. Um, and it looked, it looked really good from a switch to perspective. Uh, Devil May Cry 5, the Devil Hunter edition is going to the switch two. Um, you've got Miramasa Revenant blades.
[00:35:56] Didn't know that one. Mm-hmm. Uh, so Miramasa was originally on the Wii and the Vita. Oh, okay. And then they, they ported it. Um, so this is the, the kind of the sequel to it. Um, this was kind of big for Xenoblade Chronicle fans. Is that there is definitive editions of the three coming to the switch two.
[00:36:18] Um, the Xenoblade Chronicles one was available today adds on like high speed vehicles, a couple other things, you know, uh, Chronicles two will be in July. Um, Chronicles three is December 4th. There are physical versions of all the games coming out later dates. Um, you know, I did catch that, uh, you know, it's going to be a couple months before the physical first Xenoblade one comes out.
[00:36:46] Um, then they announced the Xenoblade Genesis, which will be exclusive to the switch two, um, is a brand new game in the series. Um, and then it was only a matter of time. Nintendo switch sport resort is coming to, uh, the switch two. So anybody that remembers we had, you know, back on the Wii and stuff like that, we had Nintendo sports and then we had Nintendo sports resort.
[00:37:12] Um, so with sports resort, you're going to have boxing, table tennis, archery, tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, thumb wrestling, jump rope, skateboarding, power cruising, and prop plane flying. So that'll be coming out October. Um, as we mentioned before, runescape dragon wilds is going to be launching on the, uh, switch to as well as the other consoles.
[00:37:37] So, uh, hello kitty party land, similar to like a Mario party. Uh, star Fox is getting a demo that is available and you know, as we record this, which too, yeah. Or switch to, you know, um, this was huge. Yeah. Um, so this is a adaptation of brave XVS, which was a mobile only game.
[00:38:04] I played it a ton on my, on my iPad. Um, it was a lot of fun. Um, it'll be coming to switch to October 22nd, but it's also going to be coming to switch PlayStation, everything like that. Jason, where are you buying it? You know, I have no idea because this is the thing. I don't, I haven't really gone off of brave XVS that much.
[00:38:34] So I'm kind of like coin flipping it. Maybe I'm going to wait for it just a little bit. Obviously I have a backlog that just needs a lot of attention. Yes. So do I. But I mean, like it's I'm trailers. I can only do so much. Yes. Yep. But I kind of, like I said, I I'm behind, but you think you'll, you'll, you'll come to a better decision. Once you see gameplay. Yeah.
[00:39:03] Either when I see gameplay or black, black Friday, you know, don't, don't count me out on black Friday. Or he's going to wait for me to buy it first and tell him, Hey, you'll buy it. Yeah. Yeah. My situation. Yeah. As much as I own, you know, seven, eight and nine and 10 on my switch for me, all my other, all my place, all my Final Fantasy games are on the PlayStation.
[00:39:27] So I own seven, eight, nine, 10, 12, 15, 16. Uh, I even picked up tactics on my PlayStation cause it was on a sale dirt cheap. So I want to compare the difference on the two of them. It's not, I haven't been with brave Exodus, you know, like I never really got into it, but. Now, do I need to know that?
[00:39:54] You know, that's what I'm kind of like, because it's an adaptation. It's not a straight port. So like you're going to be able to experience it from the beginning. Still. And it's been long. It's been long enough since I played it that I don't remember a lot of it. So for me, it's like, it's a brand new game. So, and it's going to be in the HD 2d style that they've been doing for the pixel, the pixel remasters. So. I will pick it up.
[00:40:21] I just, I think I'm going to probably play, do it on PlayStation versus switch, but we'll see. So then after that, we got a Piku Niku 2, which felt very much like a switch game. Dragon monsters, the withered world. Uh, which is a new game in that series. That entry. It's coming in December. Dustblugs look really cool.
[00:40:50] Um, it's an exclusive from software game, which everybody knows that's. Elder ring and or Elden ring rather. Um, Splatoon Raiders coming to switch to, uh, Oh yeah. In July, this is a single player story game. So, you know, I have to worry about it being multiplayer like Splatoon is. It is its own thing takes place. Its own thing, um, on world, everything.
[00:41:18] It's going to have its own direct on June 30th to kind of say, Hey, this is what it's going to be. Um, they're also coming out with. Joy con to controllers that are themed for it. It just, it's a dark blue and a fluorescent yellow, kind of like the. The Splatoon actual, uh, joy cons that we got. Um, Delta rune chapter five. That's going to be an update coming in June. Uh, metaphor, uh, re Fantasio. It's coming out on the 12th.
[00:41:47] You've got a Minecraft is now getting a dedicated Minecraft, um, for the switch to. And then they did like a whole bunch of like random games during it as well. You know, they do their little montages. So the ones that kind of picked up for me is you got warhammer 40,000 coming to switch to you. You got metal gear solid, the master collection volume two coming rise of the tomb raider was available today. Yeah.
[00:42:13] Um, you know, final fantasy 14 is coming to the switch as well. Uh, to the switch to rather that's going to be happening in August. And then they announced this kingdom hearts one through three is coming to the switch to. Um, anybody who has the cloud versions of the games currently on the switch can transfer their properties. And then they're going to be in progress over to the switch to versions. Sweet.
[00:42:43] Um, and there's, and there's a demo coming now. The bigger thing is, is that kingdom hearts four is announced to be day of on the switch along with when PS it launches on PS5 and Xbox. We don't know the date yet, but we know, we got some new gameplay, newer gameplay. Uh, like, God, like, I mean, can you think about this?
[00:43:10] So it was like, we're getting the final fantasy seven trilogy before four is even done. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's sinking. I mean, look how long it took for three though. I just, I hope it's, I just hope they're there's, I mean, it looks current. I just hope they choose current worlds. Now.
[00:43:34] I don't mind going back to some old ones, like some class, obviously like Olympus or, or, uh, you know, Hercules as well. Like, you know, training, you know, some old school stuff. Cool. But I think at this point you're going to need like something like we need to be a current stuff. Yeah. Yeah. You know, the, the current, current stuff. So, um, and then it, they ended with the big one Ocarina of time. A lot of the rumors, they, they hit it. Yeah.
[00:44:00] It's coming this year. Um, they didn't show much. It's just more like a, Hey, this is a story. It was a teaser trail, like cinematic. Um, you got to see the new design of link as a kid. Um, it looks beautiful. Um, I think this would be the one game out of anything during the direct that would make me want to consider getting a switch to is because I love Ocarina of time.
[00:44:27] The problem is that as of right now, like I still can't justify spending almost a thousand dollars for two, three games at the moment. If you include star Fox four. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Star Fox for me is another one that I would get day of. Yeah. Like if I had a switch to. Yeah. Mario cart, I'd pick that up. Um, you know, the kids want to talk about Bonanza. So for me, it'd be those two plus Zelda and star Fox. That's it.
[00:44:55] But you know, to do a proper setup would be, you know, with the switch increasing in price, you know, Yeah. To get a memory card so you can install your games from your switch. Like it's, it's almost a thousand dollars. People are going to enjoy that. This is coming back, you know, and it's going to get redone, but I feel like it's not going to be the 10 out of 10 game we had before. I think it's going to, that's what worries me.
[00:45:24] Yeah. And one of the biggest reasons why is because of, we have like speakers in a lot of, like we have speakers in the controllers with speakers in. So Navi is going to be annoying as hell 24 seven. No, you're going to have that little, you're going to have that little rumble in the controller.
[00:45:54] Hey, listen. Oh my God. Random times. Well, and if you're playing with a pro controller, right. Is, but that's what I, I think those things, I think they're going to be addressed. I, you know, I think, I think your worries are, are valid that, uh, because it's, it's a remake.
[00:46:11] I think they're going to, I don't think they're going to tone it down, but I think they're definitely going to use some sort of engine close to either breath or something that they've used before. I think. So I would, I would be ready for that. Here's my problem is though, is they're saying it's a remake than a remaster. So what are they changing in the game? Yeah, that's what I'm, that's what I'm saying.
[00:46:37] Like, I think it's going to be within the aesthetic of something that they've been doing already, which I think is going to be around the, the breath and the tears. Like kind of thing. They have the established timeline, you know? Right. But I, I think that we're going to see like that kind of gameplay possibly like, that's what I mean. I think they're going to be using what they, what they've been kind of promoting or showing.
[00:47:05] I'm more worried about what, what did they change within the story? Yeah. Because we know with every remake that happens, things change. And you know, I, so that, that is a worry. So we'll see what Nintendo does with it.
[00:47:25] Um, it's, you know, it's good to see that, you know, it is, it is coming, you know, but of course, as we all have alluded to, that has been like the worst kept secret. Right. Because we've, the true, the, the leaker that leaked all that information was spot on. So pretty much. Yeah. We know it, this was all, all of the, the events, right? Yes.
[00:47:51] The, I think the switch to, or the Nintendo direct would had something for just about everybody, but mostly a lot of those people that already have switched twos that are fans of like Xenoblade and all that. Um, Xbox showcase was great. Summer game fest was great. Really made me think that like this, this strong of a kickoff, we should have all been on the show floor today. Oh, I know. At the elevate convention center. Right. Cause that's just a feel ahead.
[00:48:19] And that's a lot of people were commenting online that it really felt like E3 was back. The problem is, is we didn't have E3. We had little events and whatnot. We didn't have the show floor. So, um, anyway, so with that, Jason, what you been playing? Um, well, I have been slowly trying to progress through nine souls, uh, which is that free game on. Play season. We got a couple months ago.
[00:48:47] Um, so I've been getting to there. Um, I think like halfway, if not three quarters done, I play it for like a little bit at a time. Um, other than that, uh, just work and, uh, here and there, a little bit of teamfight tactics. Ironically, uh, tried, uh, playing Marvel snap again for a little bit.
[00:49:18] Uh, still the same. A lot of craziness is going on. Well, a lot more, a lot more like they, they updated quite frequently with like game modes and like, uh, pre made decks to try and, uh, entice you back and stuff like that. Uh, a lot of balancing, uh, was gone into it, which is good.
[00:49:43] Um, besides those, nothing much, man. Just trying to watch, uh, some cooking shows here and there, you know, get hungry. Nice. Have some, have some food while I'm watching it, you know? Very nice. Uh, Jerry? Uh, let's see. Um, what did I say? Well, I already completed.
[00:50:14] What game did I say? I already completed last time. Lego Batman. Lego Batman. Yeah. Yeah. That's right. So I ended up getting, um, first light, uh, 007. How is it? Um, it's really good. And I think I'm, I think I'm at the very end of it now. So I'm about to finish it, but we'll wait until next week for the confirmation because, uh, yeah, I can't wait to bring that up, but, uh, yeah, I've been currently playing that and then still slow playing resident evil.
[00:50:43] That's like, I'm just enjoying that as much as I can. And, um, I think after that, I'm going to, I guess I'm, I think I'm just going to be waiting for black flag that I think that's the next big. Yeah. Thing to come out unless, uh, I was kind of thinking about, uh, trying out Hyrule, uh, warriors to get back, kind of get back into my switch a little bit. So I am looking into that, but, um, I like the first, I like the original Hyrule warriors.
[00:51:12] Um, you know, it, it was fun. I'm like, if you want to just randomly press buttons, just hack and slash it. It's fun. Well, it kind of hit me kind of like, um, dynasty warriors. And I, I, for years, like I'm, I'm so surprised that from the PlayStation direct that that's coming back. I was really surprised at that. Like, but, uh, I, I remember renting those games and just like for hours, like, you know, leveling up my favorite kind of characters.
[00:51:39] So, uh, I, I'm kind of looking into it and I, uh, I do want more games for an excuse to use my amiibos as well. So, uh, yeah. And otherwise what have I been watching? I've gotten in obviously because of the game, I've gotten into a Daniel Craig kicks. I've been rewatching those, those double of sevens. Uh, so that's been really fun. And, um, yeah, just been, uh, kind of rewatching. Now you're going to make me want to go watch casino Royale now.
[00:52:09] Oh, dude. I, I, I saw that yesterday. So it's still so good. He's so good. He really was like for our generation to like, it like to pave the way for as a double O seven. He really was a great choice. He was, and I'm excited for whoever they choose now, but, um, we we've had, we've had some good, like, I still for, to this day kind of fight that I think he has the best run of successful movies.
[00:52:38] Like really, I think quantum is the only one was the one that like critically wasn't, you know what though? I'd have to agree with you. Cause like Pierce Brosnan started off strong with golden eye, but it's just golden eye. And then, and even, uh, tomorrow's never enough or, uh, yeah. Tomorrow never dies. Tomorrow never dies with Halle Berry. The final one. That one really didn't do that. Did okay. Great. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:53:05] I kind of think Daniel Craig has like, has the, you know, the trophy, like best run of films. Roger Moore wasn't bad though. He also has a long run too. That's also true. Yeah. But yeah. So that's what I've been doing. Matt, what about you? Um, so I have stopped playing Lego Batman. Um, the kids have, the kids have taken that over. Oh, okay. Okay.
[00:53:31] I was like, Oh, did, did something else pop up or an addiction come back? They're using the portal for it too, by the way. Like, so one of them sits on there playing the portal. Wait, they also took over the portal as well. Yeah. So they'll play on the portal. One of them is playing on the couch with a portal. Another one will come see her at my desk and start pointing stuff out. It's hilarious. Oh, that's cool. And I was playing ghost of Spart or a sons of Sparta, which I finally got to my first real major boss.
[00:54:00] Like that you have to memorize all the attack patterns to, to get through with it. And it was one of those ones. I almost threw my controller. Like I had them down. Oh, all of a sudden he's just like, Nope. He got you. Um, but what is taken over my playtime right now is south of midnight. Oh, cool. I'm still jealous. I really like that. It is a great story so far. I'm still trying to figure out some things with it.
[00:54:26] Um, because you don't, the way the game starts is it's a hurricane essentially comes in, has tons of flood, flood water. Hazel's mom gets swept away in their trailer and she goes running after it. Mm hmm. But the way everything's positioned, you, I don't know if she actually lived and this is just her going through like, that's what's so cool about the, yeah. Um, but it's an amazing story.
[00:54:56] It's beautiful. Like the animation style that they went with for the game is absolutely gorgeous. The fight mechanics are great. Um, if you've played, uh, Titanfall or, um, Jedi fallen, you know, fallen order, you know, those, the traversal system, like running on walls and everything like that, that's right in your, right in the wheelhouse. Um, the combat is fun. You know, it can, it can kick your butt, but at the same time is it's, it's got enough
[00:55:25] to where it's, it's a challenge, but it's the same. If you figure out how to do it and once you unlock abilities, you can lock down the battles and make them super easy and whatnot. So, um, I just finished chapter six. I think it's got 13 chapters. So I'm like just about halfway through. Um, and I can't wait to get to the end of this game. Um, it's at a point where I'm, I may go back and try and platinum it. Oh, sweet. Oh, that's cool. You know, cause there are some things I missed collectibles wise.
[00:55:55] Um, but we'll see. Uh, it's amazing story. And then other than that, um, just watched a couple of, you know, some movies here and there. Um, I did a rewatch of the, um, entire, uh, Olympus has fallen series. Oh, sweet. So Olympus angel and London. Um, those were fun. Like, um, those are great action flicks. They're fun. They were, they were just fun. You know, it's just the way it is.
[00:56:23] Like you don't take them seriously or anything. So, um, other than that, it's been kind of just it. Um, I'm almost done with Batman 89 as well. So I'm taking some time, but other than that, I've, you know, just been doing a lot of walking and working on recovery and stuff like that. Um, good. You know, uh, today I walked, uh, 0.91 miles. I shaved off two minutes off of my pace time. Like, cause I was wearing my Apple watch.
[00:56:50] Um, and you know, on the workout, it tells you what your mile pace is. Mm. So I dropped two minutes off of that compared to yesterday. I wasn't even trying. I was walking the, you know, what I thought was the same pace. So, um, but you know, recovery is going well and whatnot, which, you know, as we kind of close things out, it's one of the things I want to talk about, um, more so than ever.
