[00:01:35] Um, I had my five week appointment with my surgeon today. Nice. Oh, nice. Okay. And I have been cleared from just about every restriction there is. Oh, nice. I can drive now. Nice, dude. I don't have to live in the tube where I have to keep my elbows in. I can like reach for stuff. They just said, hey, let the pain kind of guide you a little bit cause it's still... It's still healing. I still got another eight weeks for this.
[00:02:04] The only restrictions I have is I can't lift more than a gallon of milk and I can't fly until after August 20th. Of course. Okay. Because that's three months. Lifting, you know. Yep. And the flight part is because of the lifting, right? Cause baggage and all of that. But then secondly is because while I'm healing, I'm still apt, you know, at risk for blood clots.
[00:02:32] So they recommend not flying when you're in that case. So you know what though? The air pressure in the cabin and all that stuff. Yeah. Exactly. So you know what though? I'll take it because damn, it felt good to drive today. Nice. I have not driven my car since May 19th. Dang. Wow. She's been started up. She hasn't gone nowhere, but so she actually got driven today and it's like, it felt real good. Took me a minute to find the clutch slot though.
[00:03:01] You know, I was like, right. You know, cause, but it was like, man, not driving after a month that makes you feel real good. So. Very cool. I did very much get emotional today. I had, you know, tears, happy tears and just were shed when I saw my surgeon, give him a big old hug. Cause you know, as I've found out over the weeks since then, it was like, I wasn't in great shape coming out of surgery. So, you know what?

[00:05:23] So let's, let's get into it because I know we got some stuff to talk about that. I'm eager to get Jason's opinion on since he's usually her kind of voice of reason. The, the, uh, the other side of the devil's advocate. Yeah. Which, um, anyway, so let me get off to the theater. Yeah.
[00:05:49] Let's go off to the theater and some of it. We're going to make Jerry cry tonight too. Just a little. Uh, all right. So this episode is actually started off with, you know, Wolverine and master chief, but okay. Okay. So over the last, like week and a half, uh, the Wolverine stuff has come out.
[00:06:18] Now we're going to be disappointed is that they are only doing a physical standard edition. They're not doing. They're not doing. So it's okay. Uh, I, I have already been privy because I already put my pre-order down obviously, but, uh, but I, I am disappointed that like no collectors or something was out or maybe a deluxe, like at least give us like a steel book or something.
[00:06:42] But, um, at least you can spend, you know, you can get the physical copy of the standard edition and then pay for the upgrade. I absolutely plan on getting the deluxe, uh, upgrade. Yeah. Oh yeah. Definitely. And I think, you know, as I look at it, so, you know, so we've got $70 standard edition. Um, I haven't seen like some of the pre-order stuff. I've got to hop onto the PlayStation store to see that once they release it. Right. But digital deluxe edition is going to be 80. So $10 more.
[00:07:11] You're going to get the, um, the game, uh, five exclusive suits and claws for tech points. You're going to get early access to the classic brown suit, which means that it's going to be an unlockable through throughout the game, reflective claws early unlock. And then you're getting four PlayStation avatar. So, but I think Jerry, because, you know, when you look at it, how many Spider-Man special, like the actual collector's editions they had left.
[00:07:39] I mean, they were still selling them through this year. You know, they had a lot of those. Um, you know, you can still, um, get some of the, like the ghost of Yotai, like the dust stranding collectors editions and how long of those games. I guess, I guess, I guess it does depend on like, I mean, I, I would be a little bit cautious. I, I get it too.
[00:08:01] Like, I, I understand the kind of the demand cause like, uh, we've discussed this before because I believe you just bought the, the collector's Yotai cause it's still available. And, and like you said, death stranding to that, that I've seen that, um, very recently that's still available where, uh, I can see like collector's items are collectors. Our collector's additions are becoming a little bit more niche where I can see them doing it, uh, based on how successful Wolverine one is.
[00:08:31] I can see them doing one for the, for the sequel. If, uh, if they do do a sequel and if it's successful enough, I think they would, they would do one that, that time. But I do get it. It's just me as the collector and like, we're old school, like during our time, we, there always was going to be something, some sort of addition. Yes. Or like something that came with, uh, like the very least was like a steel book we would get, you know?
[00:09:00] So, um, yeah. So, um, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And like some, as some other like little swag that came with it, but, um, yeah, it's just unfortunate. Like this is where we are. They're becoming a little bit more niche. Yeah. So, I mean, but even then though, I mean, at least this time around though, they're, they're saying, Hey, physical, and then just go pay the $10 for the upgrade. You know? So you're still not gonna be missing out. At least like right. Yeah. Right out. Right off the jump. Yeah.
[00:09:29] Uh, once you get it, even if you get the physical, you can pay for it and yeah, it's cool. I know I said otherwise, but the more I play through Spider-Man, I'm, I'm, I make it. Oh, really? I, like I said, I already put my pre-order down. I'm, I'm getting an itch for X-Men anyways. Cause you know, we've got X-Men 97 season two getting ready to launch. Oh yeah.
[00:09:57] So I've started rewatching the original series. I was, I was, I was contemplating that too. Yes. So I was about to start another run as well. Anyways. So some other news is Microsoft did come out and, um, of course my screen just went, um, anyways, and give some information about, um, what's the steam machine? Nope.
[00:10:27] We'll get that here in a second. That's what I want Jason's response to. Um, I had the other thing pulled up here. Going back while you're getting that ready, uh, Matt, I mean, collector's editions now, I feel are going to be just mostly digital. It's going to be a lot of skins. We're in the age of skins and microtransactions. So this is where you get the regular physical edition, and then you get all the upgrades for the digital makes sense. You know what?
[00:10:55] I mean, we, we, we, we ourselves, and a lot of people are like statute collectors or like the extras that come in the games, the art books, the, the sound, the physical. Physical soundtracks. Like we appreciated that stuff. Yeah, of course. And, you know, there is still going to be those things.
[00:11:17] And I think having like digital skins, having digital art books, having digital, um, music it with this day and age now, especially it's so much easier for a lot of people to just get that versus the physical copy or physical edition of it. Um, I mean, I have at least 10 steel books as I'm looking at my shelf right now.
[00:11:43] I think if they are going to ever make steel books again, you know, it's, again, it's a niche thing. I think they might just have like a secondary buy of it. Like, it's just, you can buy that itself. Uh, that way they don't have to waste money on getting a full game or having collectors or deluxe editions. You know, and having statues. Deluxe edition, collector's edition, super premium edition.
[00:12:13] You've got to have this edition. I'm the ultimate fan edition. You know, you start losing out on all these skills. Well, no, I mean, but he's got a, he's got a point though. I mean, cause like how many. Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I always have a point. What are you talking about? I always have a point. But I have to agree. I'm just taking a step too far. And I somehow, someway involve Marvel because this is a Marvel game. Oh God. I guess we're throwing in there. But no, I mean, I think Jason's got a point though.
[00:12:42] It's like too, is it like with statues, right? Is how many times have we've seen them do an edition where it's a digital copy of the game? And then you've got all this other physical stuff. Like a steel book and a statue and stuff like that. I think that was like their, I think that was their version of like the happy medium of like the best of both worlds. But, you know, there's still that uproar where like, oh no, it should come with the physical game. Where now they're rethinking or just not doing it at all.
[00:13:12] This is how you look at it from two different worlds, you know? Because I love the physical copy of it. You know, I have a physical PS5. You know, but coming into, let's say the next generation, you know, we're already looking at. Like people are like, oh, speculating this and that, blah, blah, blah. How much of it is actually going to be physical? You know? Very, very. It is going to be the 10%ers.
[00:13:41] The literal 5% of people that are going to stay on. And that's the thing. If you have two different. Oh, let me finish this. Because if you have two full consoles, the only difference is that one is a built-in drive. And the other one is an external drive. What's the point in making two full consoles when you can make two consoles the same and then just have people buy on? You know?
[00:14:08] So then that way, those 10%ers are now the minority. Us physical gamers are now in the minority because you can just get download. You can download the game. You can download everything. You can go to sleep and download it. Have it ready to be played the next morning when you wake up or whenever. You know? It's so much more convenient. Or you pre-order and it's pre-loaded for you.
[00:14:34] And if you're getting a digital, you already have the full game downloaded. It just does not unlock until the street date midnight. You know? So, I mean, there's so much things that are going forward that all these collectors, they're starting to become, as we've seen it, kind of very niche. You know?
[00:14:56] Why are we going to have now, like, let's say, 100,000 copies of the statue when now it's going to become even lower to, like, a 5,000 where it actually is collector. You know? Rather than just being, like, let's just throw it out there. See how much we get from it. You know? Look at the Ghost of Yotei, the Assassin's Creed. So, case in point, right?
[00:15:26] Assassin's Creed. It's still available. Yeah. Still available. How long is that game in now? No? Yeah. Well, it's a little over a year. Came out October 2nd. So, October, November, December. Six months, seven months. February, March, April, May. Nine months. Yeah. Under a year. Under a year, you still have collectors out there. Correct. So, then, what's the point of having that? Death Stranding. Same thing.
[00:15:51] Now, my eye, I feel bad for the people that paid that money. But at the same time, I'm looking at it because I'm not going to pay $220,000. I'll pay $120,000. Jason, to your point, right? Death Stranding 2 came out last year, and they still have collector's editions. Yeah. So, I think this is where that gamble. Yeah. It's now just you get more stuff. You used to get interesting items. Yeah.
[00:16:20] So, it doesn't create this, like, buzz for it need to be unnecessary or to- Correct. To, hey, you know, back in the day when you had a collector's edition- Creed is sold out. Yeah. But back then, you have games that have collector's editions that are, like, yo, still wrapped
[00:16:44] because it was one in, like, the whole city or, like, five in the whole city. Well, I think if you go on eBay, too, a lot of those collector's editions still sealed. Some of those that aren't available anymore are going for, like, $600, $700 now. Yeah. Because it becomes collector. Correct. It becomes collector. We've seen this time and time again over the years with, especially with cards. TCG.
[00:17:14] You know? Mm-hmm. When I was playing it way back in the early, like, the late 90s, I would have never thought, hey, you know what? Like, let me hold on to these because it's going to go on for 30-plus years and still thrive and become a huge collector's market. You know? No one predicts that.
[00:17:38] That being said, though, like, if I were a James Bond fan and getting First Light, like, that collector's edition would be one I would get. Again. But again. I would first warn you to watch an unboxing. It's not worth it. Really? Yeah. You have to be a fan. And then people are now doing that, too. They're waiting for the unboxing. They're waiting for, like, what does it look like? Yeah. Because it looks great on, it looks great as a book. But is it even worth it?
[00:18:07] No, it's a plastic, like, even, like, the gun, everything is, like, just polished to shine and it's all plastic. Like, it's not even worth it. Plus, we have 3D printing. The other version with the mask, I would go with the mask one. Fair enough. Plus, we have 3D printing. See, and this is my perfect example. Yeah. This is my perfect example, double O. How many additions are there?
[00:18:37] Four. Four. Four. Why four? That's way too many. Yeah. There was the standard digital deluxe, the legacy, I think, that comes with the mask, and then the collector's, like, light edition, which came with the golden gun and bullets. This is what I'm talking about. And then you have to do this for physical. You have to do this for digital. Oh, legacy. There you go. You know, this is ridiculous.
[00:19:06] You know? That's, this is what I'm talking about. This is why collector's additions are just getting whatevered. So that's the legacy. I would say this is the other side, too. And I was just, I was just going to add that, um, on. Okay. I see this. Based on what you were first, uh, the first part of the conversation where, uh, I, I think
[00:19:30] you and I, um, we're already kind of like gearing ourselves and getting ready to understand that it is going to be a full digital, you know, era for video games, but that's why we're the ones that are kind of staying and, and long lasting because we appreciate the physical. So for a hundred dollars less, you're, you are right. I would go with that addition over the other one. So anyways, bless you.
[00:20:00] Let's, let's jump over to the other. That's what I'm saying. Like first light has four additions on top of being a digital download. So you have five, five ways to buy double O seven. Like it's, it's unnecessary. That's why I think this moving forward with, uh, Wolverine Marvel actually might have something right where they just get, you can get the standard edition in store.
[00:20:30] You can get the deluxe edition. That's a download. If you don't want either of those, you can get, or if you want the extra stuff, you can download the rest of it. It's mostly going to be skins and early access and like little community points or yeah, whatever. That's it. And then like, like, avatars. I think Jason's right though. I think you're going to see less statues going forward. Yeah, I think so as well.
[00:20:57] I mean, and if not, I, I, I would also probably agree or speculate that, uh, it would be something that would come after as like a separate package deal. If you were a fan or if the game, I think deemed, you know, successful and worthy of it. Yeah. I mean, that, that's possible or another, uh, uh, avenue is that all those places that
[00:21:23] you guys get, uh, little like, you know, Funko's little, what did you get the Mega Man stuff from? Um, but like all those small little companies are going to start like doubling down on the, on the collectible. Doing their own thing. Yeah. I would, uh, now some of these though, like depending on your fandoms. Right. And I think this is where you're coming in.
[00:21:47] Cause this is the, the new, this is the other side where like, yeah, no matter what it's old school, halo, the, I, I, you like, I, I'm not surprised it's already sold out. Yeah. There's that dedicated fan base. It's that big. Like I get it. Um, you know, you've got, um, gears of war. No, I would do that. I would get that too. Damn. That's dope.
[00:22:17] You know, you know, for tonight, I think for me, I'd rather get the halo edition, like the halo collector's edition, right? For 200. We split in here. It's where I'd get the halo edition too, baby. You know, but like fables already sold out. So that kind of shows you like to Jason's point, like these are collectors item. Like they've made only so many, you know, actual, like a legit amount, you know? And yeah.
[00:22:43] One of the things that I've always wanted, like that's on the bucket list for anybody that just wants to like be like, wow, like I'm the first thing I'm buying, like when I win the lotto, you know, the fight, there's a final fantasy Mahjong set. But I think for me too, it's like, unless it's only sold, like it only sold for final fantasy 14 players. And the only way to get it was via lottery. Yeah.
[00:23:13] Or, or they had like a little small window of like open sale, but I don't know where a lottery. So, I mean, and then if you look at how much these are going for the first one I could tell you, or the cheapest one that I see just on the screen is a thousand dollars. You know, it's because people like, if they look for it, they want it, they'll get it.
[00:23:38] But at the same time, it's just like the scalper mentality. You know, you sometimes you buy these and you just wait for the resale. You wait for the, for the time to, to grow on it. And that's when you coin flip the gamble. Is this worth it? Yeah. This one for sure. Because as all of us know, everybody, a lot of people literally are Halo fans because that's how Microsoft became a gaming company.
[00:24:06] Halo is still one of my, you know, top 10 franchises. Like I love Halo. Mine's already pre-ordered on my, on PlayStation. Same. You know, I've already got it pre-ordered and whatnot. And I think for me going forward. I didn't know you can, you can sign up to buy the collectors for the PS5 on here too. I just saw you do it. I'm going to do it too. Thanks dude. I didn't know. Why do you think I was like, oh, I'm here. I'm going to go.
[00:24:35] Hey, like let's, let's check. Let's check, you know, notify me when it's available. You know, um, you know, I like the fable one too. Like I'm not a huge dedicated fable fan, but the fact is that this collector edition is coming for one 99 is coming with an art book, steel book and statue for one 99. That's absolutely worth it. If I'm a huge, if I'm a fable fan. Right.
[00:25:01] So I think going forward too, is like ghost of like ghost of Shishima. I didn't get the, you know, the collector edition. Cause I was like, I don't know how I'm going to like the game. Right. Cause it's new game, everything like that. Trying to get the collector edition of that one after the fact, have fun. Cause that's going for a crap ton right now. But even Yotai was like, Hey, I'm just going to get the, I didn't have the money for the collector edition. Cause it was going for a lot of money. And the only reason I even bought the collector edition is because it was a hundred dollars
[00:25:31] off, you know, through PlayStation direct through like games of play, you know, or whatever. So that's right. But speaking of halo really quick before we get into the really main topic of tonight is that originally they came out with, they made a statement out on Twitter said, if you're playing split screen on PS five, both counts will need to have PlayStation plus and be linked to a Microsoft account. Having these active PlayStation plus subscriptions will also provide access to online co-op play.
[00:26:02] They received so much backlash for the statement that they had to clarify it and say, we incorrectly stated that PlayStation plus is required for local co-op split screen play. Local split screen co-op requires a PlayStation account for each player, but does not require a PlayStation plus account. And it requires that separate account to be linked to their, to an Xbox account.
[00:26:29] So in order to play split screen, you know, just couch co-op, it's going to require separate PlayStation accounts that are just linked directly to Xbox, which that's not that big of a deal because, you know, my Forza account was, um, on my switch, the, um, what's the Ori? Uh, you know, that game required me linking into my Xbox account. So that's not that big of a deal for me.
[00:26:57] Um, so, you know, I'm glad they came out and clarified it and said, Hey, you are not going to have to have separate PlayStation plus subscriptions when you're playing local co-op. So, um, that being said, I can definitely see, you know, Jerry and I doing co-op for Halo and the campaign drops. Um, you know, we got a month to go for that and I'm like, I'm itching for Halo.
[00:27:23] It's like, Oh, you know, I've actually been using like for some of my walks and stuff, been using the Halo soundtracks, which honestly, when you look at like the iconic music in gaming, when you hear that Halo theme song, you just know it's Halo, you know, just like, you know, there's some of the Final Fantasy music. You just know which game it is, you know, you know, Uncharted. Oh, absolutely. Yeah.
[00:27:49] So, you know, so anyways, um, that'll be a great thing, but I want to, let's jump into, and this is where I really wanted Jason's opinion tonight. Um, Steam and Valve came out with the, not only the specs of what the Steam machine is going to be, but how much it's going to cost.
[00:28:12] And the jokes are abound because the Steam machine, uh, is going to start at $1,049 without a controller. Why without a controller? What? So we'll get there. So they're going to do a semi-custom AMD Zen 4 GPU, 16 gig of RAM.
[00:28:39] It only is going to have a five, a half a terabyte SSD. It's going to have micro SD cards, so you can kind of expand it. Um, it's going to be running Steam OS three, which is basically a Linux version. So it doesn't always work with everything. Now, if you want the system with a controller, it's going to cost you $1,128. That controller runs $100 on its own.
[00:29:08] Um, then if you want the two terabyte version, it is $1,349. It does come with two extra face plates for swapping it out if you want to. The two terabyte for $1,350 does not come with a controller. If you want a controller, it's going to be the same thing. It's going to be $1,428. Now, to put this in perspective.
[00:29:33] So if we drop this down to just the very basic 512 gigabyte, $1,049. The Steam Deck for 512 runs $789. Now, if you want to play it on the TV, you can get the dock for $80 and then buy another, buy a controller, which is not available, by the way. You have to sign up for availability. It's $100.
[00:29:59] So even then, you're still coming in for the Steam. $100 less. $100 less and you've got portability. Yeah. So, $1049. Does it show? Does it? Does. It doesn't. Steam Deck doesn't show peripherals? It does show your controller and that's it. No, like the, like what's inside the Steam Deck?
[00:30:28] Is it going to be the Steam's machine, but just with the TV? Like what? Oh, so yeah. 12V. No, I mean, like the power of it, you know. Oh, yeah. Internals. Because that's the obvious like difference. So it's going to have a Zen 2. Yeah, but even still, that's so like, so generic. You know. Oh, here we go. Right here. Tech specs.
[00:30:58] Okay. So it's going to have a 6nm AMD APU CPU as a Zen 2. They're running a Zen 4 in the Steam machine. So upgraded on the CPU, 8 RDNA, 2 CPUs, 1.6 gigahertz. This one's RDNA 3, 28 CUs, compute units.
[00:31:24] So it's having, yeah, it has way better GPU processing. Yeah. You know. Good. I was going to say like, come on, come on. You're running 16 gig DDR5 for the RAM. This one's running 18 DDR5, 8 gig DDR6, VRAM. This one's not running VRAM. Yeah. So, but I just want to kind of put it out there. It's like when you're looking at your cost, right?
[00:31:54] You have, you know, plus for an extra 200 bucks. So for 989, so less than $1,000, you're getting portability, a controller and a dock. Right? Yes, it's not as powerful as the Steam machine, but it's giving you portability like a Switch. So when we compare that to the consoles that are on the market right now, Xbox.
[00:32:22] So you can get the Series X 2 terabyte Galaxy Edition, which comes with a controller, by the way, for $800. I mean, so what is the differences right now is that, again, if you click on the specs, because like for me, it takes me like I, I'm not a builder. I used to be a builder, but now I've gotten lazy and I'm like, you know what?
[00:32:52] I'm just going to buy what I find to be like the best deal at the time, you know? That way I just run the course for like five, six years. And then if my wife wants my old computer, she's happy to just take it like just straight up. That way she has an updated computer. And then I, again, buy myself a new computer in like six years, five years. So I, that's how I recycle through.
[00:33:20] I've gotten tired of like upgrading what the times is to be funny, it's to be affordable. Now it's not so much. So here you go. I think it's look, look at, look at the specs of this, of the Xbox. Yeah. The, the, whatever, the best of the light Xbox. Yep. I'm not going to go for the, come on, where are the specs? With all that craziness, you know, you know, there's a tag that says specs up top.
[00:33:50] All right. So it's running an eight core custom Zen 2. Which is just like the. They're using a Zen 4. So you're using a custom. Yeah. Just like the, the Steam Deck. Yep. It's 16 gig DDR6. So they're only using DDR5 with VRAM. So they're using better RAM.
[00:34:21] I. Are you comparing it to the Steam Machine or the Steam Deck? Steam Machine right now. Okay. Yeah. So GPUs are DNA three GPU. Where's the GPU on here? Not. Doesn't say exactly what the GPU is on this. But.
[00:34:51] But even what I'm, what I'm looking at is like you look at the cost. I'll throw it back down to the right processor. Okay. A little higher. There you go. Oh, there we go. 12. It's 52 CUs. RDNA two. Steam Machine's using RDNA three. Three. With only 28 CUs. Compute units though. So you're getting, even though yes, it's DNA two, you're getting 52.
[00:35:22] Compute units. Yeah. So, I mean, again, it's, but again, it's hit and miss because it has, like, as we've seen from going from like DDR3 to DDR4, DDR4 to DDR5. It is like, it is leaps and bounds. But. You know, you, you cannot, you cannot be like, you know, apples are apples, but every apple is different. You know what I'm saying? We're looking at this from a cost perspective, right? If you're looking at. Cost perspective.

You had to balance the scales with a good movie. With a good heist movie. It was an Italian Job. Yeah. Like.

[01:09:05] So. Rule number one. I don't know. Like what the. Gaming. Gaming wise. This one's an Italian Job. I got an Italian Job to do. I got to make some pieces. Oh my God. Gaming wise. Division 2 with Jerry. I am about halfway ish through Plucky Squire. Oh okay.
[01:09:34] I got a little sidetracked because I decided to go back and finish Crisis Core. Oh cool. So that is done now. Nice. So of course I texted Caleb and said hey I finished your game. And then on top of that I restarted FF16. Because I have. I couldn't remember any of the mechanics. So I was like you know what. I'm going to go back. Restart it. You know.
[01:10:03] I was already up to Bahamut. On my first playthrough. But I never finished it. But then. I got a. A. A. Hankering for. To go and actually finish Spider-Man 2. So I am. Nice. 50% of the way through that already. Been playing that since Thursday. So it got me to watch. Rewatch the amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2. Oh very cool.
[01:10:32] I just forgot how good Andrew Garfield was. Yeah. Like. I still think elements of like Parker and Spider-Man. Only he was able to do it. I think he was a great Spider-Man. Like a great rendition of both. For me Holland is like the complete package. Merely because he was introduced in like in high school.
[01:10:58] Like we got to see him like fully like grow as like the comic book Spider-Man. Where the past movies were cast like for a younger actor to portray. Where. Where. Oh I see what you're saying. Like from an age perspective Holland was still kind of like high school. We got. We got the quintessential like okay we're in the comics. How old Spider-Man was when he started. We got. We got to see that. But in in pure performances.
[01:11:28] I lean towards Garfield too. I think. Like unfortunately I think like there were some like studio influence for the second movie. Where. Yeah. You know I think they faltered a little bit. Because I think there were plans for a third. And I really wish we got a scene a third with with Garfield. Because yeah I think he did a great job. Yeah. So. And it's kind of funny is like watching. Watching those and playing.
[01:11:57] Spider-Man 2. Like they got a lot of the mannerisms. The same. Like just the way Garfield's Spider-Man swung. And did the. He had like the lanky like skinnier body. But like when he was. When he was Spider-Man he had. He was like more comfortable. He was playful. Like that was. That's what really kind of made him a bit more different. Where. Now. I think. Spider-Man. Garfield's Spider-Man.
[01:12:26] Where now. I think we're going to start seeing Holland be a little bit more comfortable. Like because he's. Growing into it. So we're slowly seeing the. I think the full. Dude. I cannot. Package of it. So. Yeah. I can't wait for brand new day. For brand new day. Um. So yeah. So that's. I still like Garfield as the best one. I still. I. He is great. Yeah. Yeah. He has. He has the Spider. The Spider-Man mannerism anyway. Like. I like Tom Holland as Peter Parker. Yes.
[01:12:56] I like Garfield as. Uh. As Spider-Man. It's kind of like the debate of. Like Batman's. Right. Is. You know. How do you rate. How do you look at Christian Bale versus Tom. Uh. You know. Versus Keaton. And Kilmer. And. And everybody else. Right. And even the. The 007s. Yeah. Or Superman. 007s. Like anybody. That's had multiple people play the characters. You're still going to compare them. And so far. On my rewatch. I would have to agree with Jason. Is that. Andrew. Is a better Spider-Man.
[01:13:27] Holland. Is a better Peter Parker. Yep. And then. Tomio acquires just the OG. But. But he's. He's there. Didn't. I wasn't a fan though. He's the OG. And I will definitely acknowledge that. He brought. Those movies were. Obviously enjoyable. And like. We. We grew up with them. They're the first. Of its kind. That came out. We finally had. Spider-Man. But. You know. It was a first take. Yeah. And then. That's.
[01:13:56] That's why I feel. And then. Spider-Man 3 happened. That's why. Yeah. And then. That's why I think. Garfield. I stood out. Because yeah. He. He was. Playful. I even liked him as the Peter Parker. Side of it too. I thought he was close to being a complete. Spider-Man. He's the closest. Yes. Yeah. I think so as well. We just didn't. We just didn't get to see him fully flesh it out. Like.
[01:14:27] Yeah. Fully flesh out. Like the hero. And the character. Which. I really think he. He deserved a third. A third movie. Two wasn't. I mean. Two wasn't great. Two wasn't great. And apparently. There was some. His performance. There was some studio influence. Where like. That's why like. So much was added in the story. I just think it was overdone. But. I mean. Take out. Take out him. And his performance. Because he was great still. As Spider-Man and Peter Parker. Yeah. But the story. And everything. And how Electro came to be. And all of that. Was just.
[01:14:59] Convoluted. Right. Especially. How they did Green Goblin. And whatnot. Yeah. I mean. I think. Yeah. I feel like Green Goblin. Was a. I would have built that up more. Like. I wouldn't have had him in the third movie. Or in the second movie. I would have. I would have. Of concentrated. On like. The friendship of Harry. And. And. Peter. And how complicated. He was already starting to get. And then. You know. He.
[01:15:28] Ends up getting like. The serum. And then he's. Like at the end of the movie. You see him kind of like. Becoming Green Goblin. Gobbling him. Yeah. Becoming the Goblin. Which sets up for like. A good setup for three. And just keep Electro. Electro. Like the main villain. He was already difficult already. like you could have made them more difficult or another fight in the movie or something like
[01:15:52] so yeah i think they they rushed it but yeah i'm loving spider-man 2 on this playthrough like i never i didn't get that far in it in my original playthroughs um yeah i think just because there's other stuff that came out at the time yeah you know and kind of distracted me um this one i'm i'm focusing diving in you know so hopefully by next week i should have it did you originally
[01:16:19] finish the game the story no i've never finished two oh yeah you're in for a treat oh it's good dude i have the platinum for one and miles morales so i am going for the platinum on the third one oh cool cool uh once again yeah the story is going to be really good you're going to enjoy it yeah i just got to the point when we're not talking spoilers anymore because it's 2023 is when the game came out so we're three years past that but um i just got to the point where they introduced venom
