[00:00:08] Welcome to Crashing Game Night. My name is Matt Diario, your host as always. And tonight it's about family. It's about family. Of a tuna sandwich. No crust. We got our version of Roman Pierce. How far do we go with this telenovela? Hold on, hold on.
[00:00:38] We've got our version of Roman Pierce, the Beanie Blunt. How's it going? How's it going on you nerds? What's going on? Oh my gosh, Roman Pierce. Roman Pierce! No one messes with me. I love it. It's so funny. Your pockets empty? We hungry.
[00:01:08] We got our version of Tej, the babyface one, the Theowalski. I'll take Tej. That makes sense. Why am I blinking on the kid's name that dies in the first one? Jesse. Oh, Jesse? I thought you were calling him Jesse. I almost knew what I was like. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. I mean like how far we go with this telenovela thing.
[00:01:38] I swear to God. Tej is the tech guy. Like that's definitely Theo. I swear to God though, Jesse. Who's got Jesse, the twin brother? I know, right? It's over. And dude, there's one more movie. He can always come back. There's a lot. One movie. Yes, that's right. I want seven. I have to watch nine. Shobbs and Haw. You know what? Oh yeah. Oh yeah, that's right. You need to watch Shobbs and Haw. I gotta go through eight too. All right.
[00:02:05] And then our version of Han. Our maitre d services, the man with the couch, the man, the myth, the legend, always snacking on something. The lion's mate, Jason Bellidio. That's not so. That's actually very appropriate. How's it going guys? How's it going? Why you gotta put the Asian guy in the Asian place? How dare you? But that is actually kind of on point though. Why do you go straight to the Asian kick? I was going with like smoker.
[00:02:34] Cause you the smoker. Exactly. Dude. And on top of that, you actually snack as much as Han. Not only are you the OG Han from Better Luck Tomorrow. But you're also the Han from the Fast and the Furious. Like you're always usually snacking on something. So it's fitting. Don't even bring that. That is pretty funny though. So, first and foremost. Wait, wait, wait. Who's Matt for us?
[00:03:04] We gotta dictate Matt. Is he Brian? Oh, I already know. Matt, I already know who Matt thinks he is. He's Paul Walker. He thinks he's Paul Walker. Is he Brian? Okay. Oh, give me a break. Come on. Oh. Paul Walker or Dom? Of course. No. I wanted to venture to say that he's technically not part of the family, but part of the family. I forget his name, but the lead in Tokyo Drift. That's what I was thinking more.
[00:03:34] Okay. Yeah. I kind of, I see that. That's a good one. That's not bad. Because of the JDM's and running. And he's a gear head. He loves cars. So that makes sense. Or there is Mr. Little Nobody because he drives the actual WRX. I was also going to say Eastwood. Yeah. Okay. All right. I'll give you that. Because in the movie, he drives the, what is it?
[00:04:00] The 20, it's a 2016 WRX wide body. Okay. So it's what my blue one used to be just a little bit wide body kit. And little tidbit is Vermont sports car, the actual company that actually runs Subaru Motorsports that builds all their race cars built that car for the movie. Oh, cool. Yep. All right. That's cool. Okay. There we go. So Eastwood. Yeah.
[00:04:29] So real quick, I want to put a PSA out there for our listeners and our followers. And X, if you're listening, you should probably do something. But so Saturday, my Twitter account got hacked. Oh, dang. So yeah, I didn't have two factor authentication turned on on it.
[00:04:55] I totally spaced doing it on the Twitter account because I'm not on it all that much. And he's probably non-creditable silver lining. At least your Twitter account has become important enough to be hacked. Yeah. Well, it started off with a, at least popular enough. A journal. Well, sorry. A journalist I follow Lucas Egan. Okay.
[00:05:20] He, his account got hacked and they sent out messages on his behalf. Right. When I was trying to close out of the, the DM, I accidentally hit the link. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Yeah. They took my account. They changed the, they changed the username on it. They changed the, just the profile picture and the display picture.
[00:05:46] Um, they were dumb enough to start sending out a whole bunch of messages to people that actually follow our podcast account because they put out a message on the podcast account that said, Hey, these are all things. They changed the name. They changed the name to somebody completely different. Um, and then started sending out emails. Our podcast account got one of those emails. And I'm like, you dumb ass. Like, really? You just sent it to the guy that you hacked. Yeah.
[00:06:15] Um, so a case has already been opened. Um, the account has now been suspended because they sent out, you know, the phishing emails to a whole bunch of people that actually know me, you know, and they all got recorded. So it got suspended. Um, so I'm trying to get the account back. You know, I've got everything still secure with the email and the phone number that's all registered to the account. Twitter's just taking their sweet old time.
[00:06:42] So, and they will that's yeah, I was talking to, I was talking to, uh, front of our show Tony, you know, who lost his account for a little bit. It took him. If I remember correctly, it was like two months before he got his account back. So, wow. Yep. So for anybody that wants to, you know, that isn't following the CGM podcast count yet on, on X, go ahead and drop this file there. If you want to keep up over there. Um, otherwise just follow me on threads and Instagram because that's where I'm active. So there's lots of socials. Yeah, there's lots of social for us. Yeah.
[00:07:11] But I just want to put a PSA out there though, that if you had gotten a message from my actual, it would have been a CGN underscore Matt, um, before they changed it. Um, it says, Hey, uh, there's this contest through Spotify to co-host a podcast. Uh, I need your votes. Oh, and it's like, Hey, I'm at X amount of votes. Hit this link and go vote for me. Give me your votes. Okay.
[00:07:41] Give me your votes. So it's a very fraudulent email. So do not click on it if you got it from me. So, um, with that being said, I mean, it plays on the, a little bit of the heartstrings wanting to help out. And you know what though? And what's funny is, is that Lucas being in, um, he's done hosting for events and stuff like that in the gaming industry. He's done interviews and whatnot. So it's not out of the norm, like the email that they're sending out.
[00:08:10] It's not completely not feasible that it's not coming from me. Right. Is that right. Or any one of us, because of what we actually do in, in the media space. Right. So, um, at least they were smart in that regards, but they weren't smart in the other regards. So anyways, that being said, uh, Thursday, as we record, this marks a very huge milestone for moi.
[00:08:36] Thursday, August 20th is three months since surgery day. Yeah. And I come off all my protocols. The last one. So you are fully cleared officially on to finish, to move on to the second half of rehab. I can lift more than a gallon of milk. I still have to kind of keep an eye on it. Like don't shackles have too hard and I can fly.
[00:09:06] Nice. Just in time. So, um, so you, so you can finally, oh yeah, I'm sorry. Go ahead. So I got a trip coming up, you know, Labor Day to back to Colorado. Um, to support my buddy, Jake, who's going through cancer. We're doing a, um, a fundraising dinner for him up in at Don Juan's in Colorado. Um, which if anybody recognizes that name, because that means you watched Titan A.E.
[00:09:35] back in the day, which the opening to Titan A.E. starts in Pierce, Colorado. Matt Damon, Drew Bearman. Matt Damon. Great. It's a great animated movie. Yeah. It's fantastic. I like Titan A.E. I always, I always associate it with the, uh, movie Treasure Planet. Cause I feel like they both got the same kind of rap. Yeah. Like the same treatment. They were both great animated movies. I recognize Treasure Planet more than Titan A.E. Sadly.
[00:10:05] Yeah. I like Titan A.E. One is, uh, you know, um, they, um, John Leguizamo. Here's a little tidbit. And this is, this goes back to my blockbuster days. Uh, John Leguizamo could only record for like an hour each day for that voice in Titan A.E. Oh, really? Because it was damaging his vocal cords. All right. No way. Yeah. Oh, dang. Yep. So. Oh no. Now I need to go watch that movie again.
[00:10:35] So anyways, um, let's start in the gaming space tonight because we're going to finish up on the movie side of the equation with all of the announcements. Um, and you know, uh, our listeners are in for a treat tonight cause Jason is here and we are going to be talking about his, his absolute favorite subject in the world tonight.
[00:11:01] I heard a little bit about not just, not just Marvel, but also some, uh, some fun Disney news. Well, oh yeah. I find fun. Oh no. There's a lot. I mean, I don't know about Mr. Fuddy Duddy over there. I don't know what you're talking about, bro. I am. I have no idea what you're talking about. All right. So first and foremost, uh, go see, O tie, uh, is getting a good edition coming out October 1st.
[00:11:31] Um, so this is going to have the new DLC with it, uh, as well as the game. So if you haven't bought the game yet, you'll be able to get it all at once. Um, you already own the game. You can upgrade, uh, pick up the upgrade for it. It was like 15 bucks to get all the upgraded stuff. The DLC. Um, when I did it, uh, I did the pre-order late last week. It only cost me $12 because they were doing a sale for those with game, uh, with PlayStation
[00:12:01] plus. So, um, it is the DLC is going to be, uh, echoes, uh, Sekigahara. Um, it takes place kind of present day and flashbacks for, um, Atsu, uh, on the mainland. Um, there's a new character, uh, Nagato who, uh, does show up in Ezo. Uh, the main villain is going to be the snake and his followers. The vipers.
[00:12:32] Uh, it's going to be doing, uh, ghost of most wanted, which is going to be a roguelite. So you'll go pick up, uh, you'll accept bounties and that's how you start your run. Cool. And just run through it, doing your bounties and whatnot. Um, so the complete edition will be the full, you know, for those that don't have it, um, you'll get, uh, the expansion, the combat survival mode.
[00:12:58] Uh, of course we've got legends, uh, legends mode, which came out a little while back. Uh, the deals, uh, all the pre-order content that we all got, you know, as part of the deluxe content, like the snake armor, you know, the horse armor, all of that. You'll get that as well as, um, for anybody that purchases it before, uh, September 30th, you are getting the Sakai armor. All the ghost armor. Dope. The ghost armor.
[00:13:28] So. Okay. I am looking forward for it. And, uh, anybody who's doing the upgrade, which is, like I said, is able to be pre-ordered now. Uh, you know, you'll get all the, if you hadn't already done gotten the, uh, the pre-order content, you'll get that. Um, and we also get the Sakai armor as well, which I can't wait to see what that actually does. Is there like a benefit to it as well?
[00:13:57] Like, uh, potentially some of the armors do have some benefit to them. Okay. Uh, well actually all the armors pretty much with the exception of like two, which are just basic. Hey, these are your, your scrubs that you started off in. So, uh, definitely looking forward to that. Um, looks good. Yeah. That's going to be suck. It's going to suck because we got Wolverine in September, you know, I'm still working on black flag. Like I'm eating good.
[00:14:26] Like I got enough for awhile. Um, well I'm ready. Cause yeah, I'm, I'm waiting for only motion and yeah. Same more rain. Yep. Um, so with that, uh, battlefield six is getting. Uh, DLC. Let's just do some random stupidness. There we go. Too young. Um, so, uh, they are, uh, they've got a top gun event coming.
[00:14:56] Oh, really? Rooster and Bob and warlock are all in it. Cool. Um, so it's just a mission that you go fly with it. Um, you can unlock the skin for Bob and for rooster in it. Uh, you will be flying both the in-game versions of the F 14 and the F 18. Oh, dang.
[00:15:26] Yeah. So, and that's, that's in-game cinematic. Like that's how good they did. Yeah. Really good. So I wonder why they picked Bob. Um, for real, because he's the actually only the really like fanboy it's fanboy and Bob. I would say Bob was the better of the two from a real position. The weapons officer. Yeah. Um, radar intercept officer. Um, and then the other one, obviously you're going to go with miles teller.
[00:15:56] He was the other. Yeah. He was a star. So. Yep. Yeah. Um, yeah, but Bob was, Bob was great in, in the movie. Um, fanboy. I would also say he was kind of the more recognizable, like fan favorite as well. Hmm. Um, also too, is when you look at it, like Lewis Pullman, he is, you've got, he's Sentinel in Thunderbolts. Yeah.
[00:16:26] He'll be in space balls to like, there's a little bit more recognition to him. Although. And doomsday. Yeah. Yeah. Which is funny is, uh, what's his face? Uh, what is it? Ramirez? I think it is from Falcon kept, uh, what's his face. Uh, we're soldier in, um, Falcon. Oh, who, who is currently the new Falcon. Yeah. He is. That's, that is, uh, he played fanboy in top. Yeah.
[00:16:57] So, um, a lot of just cool, fun things going with it. Um, you know, they're gonna allow you to do it over the course. Of the four weeks and whatnot. So, um, it looks great. Um, not enough for me to pick up, go and pay for battlefield six. So. Me. Yeah. Um, and then, um, Spider-Man. Holy smokes.
[00:17:25] Is this having a heyday? It surpassed $2 billion in global sales. That's crazy. Yeah. For the first three weeks. Yeah. Doesn't it? Hasn't it been doing better than end game? Right. Um, it is the, it's, it blew away the opening weekend for end game. Um, it's now, it's now done more in ticket sales and Superman and Supergirl combined. Well, that's not surprising.
[00:17:57] No, but just, I mean, what a huge, what a huge compliment to Tom Holland. Yeah. For, for a feat like that for, uh, for, I mean, for he's the lead and you know, a lot of it is on his shoulders. And so man, did he deliver and the right, the rest of the cast delivered, you know, it was, uh, it's warranted. The movie is that great. I still need to see it again. Uh, I want to see it again. Yeah. You already saw it twice.
[00:18:27] So, uh, yeah, that's awesome. So it is one of eight movies in film history to ever hit 2 billion. Damn. Wow. So you've got avatar. Yeah. You've got end game. You've got the second avatar. Uh, you've got Titanic force awakens infinity war. Uh, and no way home was almost in the 2 billion club.
[00:18:56] It was at 1.9. Um, because apparently, so it noted here in, in Friday that I didn't know this, but it didn't play in China. Oh, dang. I wonder why. The only thing I question is, um, like, how does that compare with ticket prices and ticket sales? I'm guessing this isn't, this is, I mean, the inflation is going to be comparable.
[00:19:22] This is, I mean, like, I feel like you probably sold more tickets in quantity for Titanic to hit 2 billion than, um, day. I would guess that when you look at some of these, I mean, let's hear end game. I mean, not to like shit on the success or anything. I'm just saying like in retrospect, just kind of. I, that's a good question. Putting the mindset out there, I guess.
[00:19:53] Like it's still an achievement, but, uh, I just feel like it might be, might not be as big of an achievement. If you know what I'm saying. Back a little bit. Um, okay. So when adjusted for inflation, so it did actually earn 2.26 billion dollars during its original run. When adjusted for inflation, it's between three, one and four. Yes.
[00:20:20] That is original 2.26 billion back, back in the day. And that's when what movie tickets were what? Seven bucks a piece, five, seven bucks a piece, something like that. Yeah. Yeah. So, and that was what? 99. Uh, That was 94. Oh, Titanic. Yeah. That was 94. Yeah. Um, that's crazy for that. That was a huge movie.
[00:20:48] But when you look at though, that's some elite company that. Oh yeah. So. I mean, no, because pretty much every single name in there is going to be known for decades. Every single movie in that club of the 2 billion. I mean, some we, we wish weren't made, but IE Force Awakens, like. Uh, I liked Force Awakens, even though it is kind of a cop out.
[00:21:16] It was a, all of fully a nostalgic. It was a remake of New Hope. Pretty much. Yeah. But I enjoyed it. You know, it was fun. Um, after that, no complete dumpster fire. Yeah. Um, so that being said, um, before we dive into the, the real meat of tonight, um, it was announced, uh, that, uh, Hayden Panettiere passed away.
[00:21:47] Yeah. Yeah. Oh my gosh. This does lead a little bit into what we're going to, um, be talking about tonight is because, uh, she was at D23 for the Kingdom Hearts panel. Oh, I didn't know she was there. Three days ago. Wow. Yeah. She's, she's an OG voice. Yeah. She is the original from one in two of Kingdom Hearts. Yeah.
[00:22:11] Um, for, you know, a lot of us too, the, the famous saying is save the cheerleader, save the world, save the world, you know? Yeah. Um, so she was Claire Bennett in the heroes. Um, you know, of course, uh, Jason's favorite game to knock on the remakes for, uh, until dawn. Yeah. Until dawn. You know. Yeah. Yeah. And the OG, OG until dawn first. Yeah.
[00:22:39] And she did, she was in the remake as well. Cause she did. No cap for it. You know, remember the Titans, Nashville. Um, Oh yeah. Nashville. I think more, more, I would say more recently, uh, um, she's, um, known for as well. Yeah. So she wasn't, uh, Kyrie and Kingdom Hearts three that was taken over by Alison Stoner.
[00:23:03] Um, who Alison Stoner was in, um, the Steve Martin movie where he was at the cheaper by the dozen. Cheaper by the dozen. Um, but also well known for being Missy Elliott. That's where I was going to go. There you go. She's a dancer. Champ rock. If you're a Disney channel movie fan. Yeah. She is more famous though, for that, that dance sequence with Missy Elliott though, then yeah. Oh, totally. Yeah.
[00:23:32] So, um, nothing has been released as far as what the cause of death was. Um, it was extremely sudden. Um, you know, um, unfortunately last couple of years, she's been battling alcoholism and postpartum, you know, after her, her baby was born. Um, but also too, is her, her younger brother, which this hit, this hit home to me when I heard, when I read this is that her younger brother passed away from an enlarged heart and an aorta
[00:24:02] aortic valve problem. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. It's real, real close to home for me because, um, my atrium was severely enlarged and it was the mitral valve for me, which sits right next to the aorta. That was the problem child. So I do know, especially in my case that, um, had I not gone into the cardiologist, had
[00:24:30] we not done what we did, um, there is a high percentage. I might not have made it to Christmas. Right. Without going into cardiac arrest. So the, you know, I'm hoping that's not what the, what it is. Um, you know, it's either way it's, it's tragic cause she was only 36. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah.
[00:24:56] You know, so, you know, the thought squats are, you know, her family and everything. It just, it sucks. And this one, I think for me hits home a little bit too, because I was, I love heroes. Oh man. I loved heroes. So good. You know, I was a huge fan. I was sad that each time that she was coming out to an expo that she had to cancel. Yep. And then of course, you know, remember the Titans.
[00:25:26] Yeah. Yeah. She is also like more of a childhood star as well. And yep. Yeah. And then her work in Nashville, she was awesome. And it was a, yeah, it's very unfortunate. Yep. So let's, let's move on into like D 23. It, this was actually this D 20. I would say it was solid this year. Yeah. On, on, um, me, all of their announcements.
[00:25:54] I can, Percy Jackson can't wait. It's going to be so great. We'll get to it. Yeah. Look at this. I got the whole list. I got the whole list right here. Gotcha. Gotcha. I'm waiting. I'm going to wait for Jason's commentary on some of this. Cause I've got some, but, uh, Incredibles three. Can't wait. I can't wait. Oh yeah. Thank you. Bring me that super suit. You know, and they're saying is basically. Where's my super suit. I love it. They are. They can't contain Jack. Why do you need to know?
[00:26:25] So. The whole thing about that announcement. Um, I guess, uh, what they did show was the, the little inkling was, um, they showed the villain and his name. Mm-hmm. Oh, man. So, uh, with that Craig T Nelson is back for it as Mr. Incredible. Um, Sarah Vowell is back as Violet. You got. Sweet Holly Hunter.
[00:26:54] There will be dash. Um, Holly Hunter is back. Yep. As far as I know, like there it's everybody's back for it. Okay, cool. But they made it a point to do a picture showing Frozone with them. Dope. And then is, I'm hoping Jack Jack is a little older. Is that like, or is he? I don't know. I mean, if there's any original actors.
[00:27:21] I mean, I don't think you really need to age them because between one and two was several years. Right. And they didn't age him. Actually, no. They, they were literally. Timeline. Timeline wise in the movie. Yeah. It was instant. Yeah. There was no change. I mean, it, of course it was years between movies, but yeah, that's what I'm talking about. It was years between movies, but, but not, not in the movies. It was literally like where the first movie ended was at the football game.
[00:27:51] The actors. Yeah. Doing the actors over again. So I don't think they're going to jump time, jump the story. That's what I was saying is I don't, you don't need to time jump it. I don't think like, that's right. So I was just wondering if they are, but I, but it makes sense that they aren't because they didn't do it with the first and second movie. So I was just really hoping to see more, more Jack, Jack is yeah, he can, he can just,
[00:28:16] he can be a monkey wrench for so many situations with the number of powers that he has. I, yeah, I can't wait. All right. So, uh, and then this, this is hopefully, uh, you know, Jason's, uh, future employers watching this, but I think kingdom hearts looks awesome. Uh, kingdom hearts is getting a series and anime series. It's going to pull the Disney and just tie into four.
[00:28:43] It's well, they're giving it, it says it's a brand new story that will expand the universe. So, um, it's going to be with that. That ties in. There's the new Pixar movie ghost market. Ghost market. Oh, I don't even know anything about it, but I know the synopsis is. Uh, the footage that they showed was basically it's a kid named Kyle going into a dark, empty
[00:29:09] kitchen who he just moved to Hawaii. Uh, he finds a bowl of warm soup that's been readily made, but it's a spooky place. Hey, do you guys take apple pay? He asks, we then see him on FaceTime telling us that it's a movie about hungry ghosts and that ghost market isn't like, so the kids kind of scary movie, I guess a little bit, but. Uh, based off the name and the initial read, I thought it was going to be kind of like a playoff of soul. The. Yeah.
[00:29:40] Yeah. Uh, it comes out. I'll wait for the trailer. 2028. We're getting cocoa too. Can't wait for this baby. And. Oh yeah. Uh, Benjamin brought is going to be back as Ernesto de la Cruz. Oh, so he makes, he comes back and Miguel will be a teenager. Yeah. Cause every, everyone's in an uproar with his haircut right now, which I think it looks cool. Yeah. Um, and Brett, and I love this quote. He's a little menace.
[00:30:09] He ruined a career and destroyed a legend. Ernesto de la Cruz is back for revenge. Proving that fate has twists. Ah, so yeah, he's got like kind of like, um, a Bobby, um, or not Bobby, but Valens.
[00:30:31] Um, Richie Valens, Richie Valens. I know like we're three years away for cocoa too. So, oh, I can't wait though. That's going to come out originally. Like what? Ooh. Six years ago. Uh, a while ago. Yeah. It's been a while.
[00:31:03] Uh, Coco bean. Thanks Google. Uh, 17. Dang. Wow. Dang man. Yeah. Yeah. 12 years in between. Yeah. I mean, especially with how well it did, I would have thought they would have done a sequel sooner. Yeah. Yep. Uh, they're finally doing a bluey movie.
[00:31:32] This is inevitable. This was totally inevitable. Yeah. Uh, Tangled's getting a live action. That was dope. That was actually, that was a pretty cool teaser that they showed. And then the two actors were like. Tegan Croft looks like. An announcement or something. Yeah. Oh yeah. Um, Actors like pretty cool. And, uh, just really quick, a cool little tidbit about the casting.
[00:31:57] So the king and queen and tangled are actually Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore. Are they really nice? Yeah. So they play the king and queen. Totally cool. Oh, those, those, if you don't know, those are the original voice actors for the animated movie tangled. Uh, so yeah, that's so cool. And then, I mean, who they got for the mom. Um, I mean, my gosh. Uh, no.
[00:32:23] So Catherine Han, uh, queen Ariana is being played by Catriona Balfe. No, that was, Oh, that was fake. Yep. Huh? Oh, that hurts. However, that being said though, uh, mother Gothel wasn't mother Gothel. Catherine Han's gonna be mother Gothel. Yeah. Catherine Han, huge, huge casting. That's a great, not the original voice though. No, no, no. I wonder who Diego Luna.
[00:32:52] I love that Diego Luna's in it too. I wonder, um, who he's playing. I don't know. That'd be funny if he was like one of the, uh, uh, one of the funny bandits in the bar. Um, anyway, so like you mentioned, is how they're doing Pascal. Right. Oh yeah. Yeah. Um, so Percy Jackson's getting a season three. Oh, can't wait. Season three. It was so good. Season two was so good.
[00:33:22] This I think is, okay. Oh dude. It's good. So they're actually going to do Oswald as a three part kind of mini series. Oh dang. Plus I think this is, it's long over. This is long overdue because. Oh, totally. Um, cause you know, generations don't know anything about Oswald. Yeah. And he was the creation before Mickey mouse. The concept for yeah. Mickey.
[00:33:51] And, um, you know, there is the, the games that were made based on him. Yeah. So, um, you've got that come in. They're doing Romy and Michelle too. So dope. I cannot believe. I, I, I didn't know this was going to be true. I heard rumors. So cool. So still having Lisa Kudrow in it too. Oh yeah. They're both. And, uh, Marisovino. Marisovino. Yeah. That's hilarious.
[00:34:21] So awesome, dude. Love the first movie. Like total, like total classic. I'm, uh, yeah. I wonder, I'm very curious in what the, uh, the script is going to be. That's so cool. So, uh, we're getting a new, this is new for me. I didn't like another ice age. Okay. And Queen Latifah, Dennis Lurie came out to introduce it. Okay. Um, they're doing Lilo and stitch too. Yeah.
[00:34:51] Live action. Live action. And then, uh, yeah. What's your face is going to be. Yeah. The other. Yeah. Yep. Cool. Uh, you're getting an animated movie called Gato. Do you? Pixar is like busy. Yeah. Which is great. It's, it's nice to, it's yeah. Pixar has got 27 for Gato.
[00:35:15] Um, and then ghost market, I think was the next one they had up, which is 28 or 28. And then you've got Coco two and 29. They've got a new Pixar. A movie coming out every single year, every year. That's huge for Pixar. Good for them. Yeah. I guess toy story made them enough money to give them a budget. Yeah. Dude. Five did five did amazingly. Yeah. Well, yes, as well. I still haven't seen that either.
[00:35:45] Me neither. I have to watch it. I have to watch it. So yeah, it's on digital now. So, so, and then, yeah, the casting of the X-Men of the X-Men, some of it at least. So, um, I'm, uh, I'm quite happy with it's officially ruined. And every article is officially ruined it. And they ruined it at D 23 on Sadie's role in Spider-Man, but we're three weeks. We're three weeks. So, um, yeah, which I can understand.
[00:36:14] And like, that's, that's a good amount of time. I mean, it's still climbing. It doesn't matter. Like, it clearly doesn't matter for how much it's making. No. So they, they announced it and, uh, yeah, it's, it's pretty cool. Well, along with the rest of the cast. My, my theater still, some people still cheered when they saw the reveal, which is great. Okay. That's still awesome. Um, so of course you've got Sadie Sink as Jean Grey.
[00:36:39] Um, the one person who wasn't there in person, but the video was hilarious of him. I told you. Yeah. Adam driver is going to be Nathaniel Milbury, AKA Mr. Sinister. Yep. Um, so we're getting, uh, Charles Abbott as Charles Xavier. That's him right here in the middle.
[00:37:04] Uh, you're getting Indy Navarrete as, uh, rogue. Also great casting. Uh, Maya Boyd as storm. Uh, you're getting Samara weaving who was the very first one that was officially announced, right? Because they kept Sadie Sink's role as Jean Grey. Right. During that time. Yeah. So it came out that Samara weaving is going to be Emma Frost. So dope. And Kit Connor is going to be Cyclops. Yeah.
[00:37:34] Um, so when you look at all of them, I think they all, they're all great castings. When you look at who the X-Men are, um, you know, when you, when you look at some of them though, I don't, you know, Sadie and, um, Indy are, I guess, I mean, they're not. I mean, kind of a little short for where Jean Grey and rogue have been portrayed in terms of a height wise, you know, throughout the years.
[00:37:58] But, um, I am, I'm excited for us to get a real rogue, not the version we got in the Fox movies who just basically sat powers. I want us to get the, the full on rogue. Yeah. It actually like uses into her advantage. Well, that's also like incredible. Like one of the character traits is that, uh, enhanced strength, you know, she could fly. Well, you know, I hope they can incorporate that somehow. Who did she get them from?
[00:38:27] Uh, Captain Marvel. So, I mean, I'm hoping, you know, that gets incorporated somehow. Yeah. Or, or, or like where they have Captain Marvel now is that, uh, she's already spent some time around earth and, you know, in the galaxy.
[00:38:45] So maybe they've crossed paths before and then you, you know, it could be, uh, uh, well, the whole thing was she flashback or something, but yeah, I think it's probably there for maybe a flash. I don't know, but I, I, I anticipated just being a doomsday thing. Avengers doomsday. Well, uh, this is gonna, this is all going to be after doomsday and secret wars. Yeah. Cause when doomsday is done, like it's resetting the timeline.
[00:39:14] That's why we're saying goodbye essentially to all the Fox, the X-Men and we'll talk about that here in a second. You know, for Jason's first. So we're getting, we're getting Ahsoka season two, which looks amazing. So good. Uh, more Thrawn, more Thrawn. Thrawn is so Thrawn's doing Thrawn things and he literally is acting like the empire didn't fall.
[00:39:43] So in the trailer, he's basically, I swore an oath to protect the empire. And I now declare war on the rebel Alliance. Okay. Which by the, during this time, Vader is still alive, right? And it, Vader's dead. Oh, he is dead. Okay. So when you look at the original. Oh, that's right. That's right. Cause Luke is already in his legend. Yeah, that's right. That's right.
[00:40:11] Cause she fought, she fought him in season two. And cause it was, he's a vision. He's a force ghost in the trailer. That's right. So, you know, Vader's Vader's dead. Um, because, um, during the battle of Endor Thrawn was on one of the ships. Hmm. Um, and he's part of it. He was able to, when they kind of started evacuating the Imperial fleet off of out of Endor. That's right.
[00:40:39] He did say that he was, he took off and took part of the remnants of the fleet with him. That's right. Um, and that's when he went into hiding. Yep. Um, all right. So we got vision quest, uh, which is, oh man, this one I am very much looking forward to, especially the fact is we're getting James Spader. Yeah. As Ultron back for this. And I love the idea that it's all like that.
[00:41:08] Technically all of their interaction, it's all virtual reality. Yeah. And they're all playing it out. Right. Yeah. Super cool. And of course there's going to be like probably current, um, uh, you know, seeing the, uh, vision like, like in current day and see where he ends up and stuff. But, uh, yeah, I think it's a really interesting idea. They gave us a first look at star fighter. I have not seen this yet.
[00:41:38] Like the footage. I haven't seen that at all yet. I need to go. I can't wait. I heard, uh, it was a closed, like for the trailer. Like it's not out. It's not out there, but, uh, yeah, apparently the trailer was, was very good. Um, you've got hexed coming out, which is a animated movie. Oh, cool. Oh, I'm going to go. Yep. Jody Foster.
[00:42:09] That's awesome. That look, that sounds cool. That's a cool cast right there. Mm-hmm. Uh, we've got Zootopia. Oh, Zootopia 3. Zootopia 3. I can't wait. Oh, and it's a, the, the cool, uh, innuendo there is that that's a feather. So I guess it's about, uh, flying animals now. It's the land of the burge or something like that. Yeah. Yep. Dope. Okay.
[00:42:38] And then we've got the new doomsday trailer, which is. Yeah. Amazing. All I can say is sentinels. It was so good. Yeah. Right. Yep. Just right. The rising with the one, with the one hand and rising like six. There is a set. Oh my God. It was the funniest thing. Um, Hugh Jackman has recorded a video and put it out there with Ryan Reynolds asking for them to be repricing their roles in doomsday. That's right. That was right.
[00:43:07] I guess he crashed the, uh, the announcement. Yeah. Yeah. And then frozen three, frozen three. We're getting the ice queen dope. Uh, Dina and Kristen Bell are back for it. That trailer is out there right now. Um, the imagineering story season two. So, which is a lot about the behind the scenes stuff at the parks. Oh, sweet. That's actually, uh, I would actually recommend that if you're a, if you're a big fan of a
[00:43:36] Disneyland, the first one was, uh, very interesting and it was all, uh, pretty much like the four, the formation and, uh, the struggles of getting the park, um, out there and together. Yeah. And then the rest of the stuff was pretty much all about the parks themselves. Yeah. Um, tomorrow, I guess tomorrow land is getting, uh, uh, a re a revamp. Yeah. And then, uh, Florida is getting a whole bunch of new stuff, including, uh, some avatar avatar
[00:44:05] stuff and, um, Pandora, like an actual Pandora like area, I guess. All right. So monsters, uh, monsters, Inc. Right. I guess too. Let's let's get Jason's opinion now. All right, Jason, we know how much you love Marvel and what you have to watch before you watch movie and all that fun jazz. And we, we know how much you absolutely love doing that, but.
[00:44:30] Cause we can't stop to shut up about, God, you can't stop raving about it. Um, anyway, so they, they released a list of 15 different movies. This shows that you need to watch. God damn. Before Doomsday comes out. You don't even have to stop. Just stop. In retrospect, 15 is light because there's like what? 56 things in the MCU. Something like that. Jesus. But.
[00:45:00] All right, go ahead, go ahead, go ahead. Here, here are the titles. All right. So you have. X-Men. The original. There's like six. The OG original Fox X-Men going all the way back. Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen. Ben K. Jensen, all of them. So you watch X-Men and X2, which honestly, that's a given being that we're getting the Fox
[00:45:29] X-Men for Doomsday, you know? So it'd be kind of for some of those people that have no idea about them. Here's, here's your introduction, right? Um, Captain America, the first Avenger. You've got the Avengers, uh, which was the, the first team up. Right. Yeah. Avengers infinity war and end game. Okay. You have the TV show Loki. Okay. Which is still ongoing, right?
[00:45:59] Uh, no, they only two seasons. Only two seasons. Only two seasons. Okay. You've got Spider-Man, no way home. Okay. Uh, you, you, uh, skip Shang-Chi. Oh yeah. Shang-Chi, uh, the legend of the 10 rings. Um, which obviously with that, because there is the scene that's already been out in the trailer that Gambit and Shang-Chi are battling each other, which is going to be, y'all. I cannot wait to see that.
[00:46:28] Um, you've got Black Panther, Wakanda forever. Okay. Captain America, Brave New World. Okay. Deadpool and Wolverine. Okay. Okay. So given that you need to watch Deadpool and Wolverine, I think it goes without saying that probably we're going to get Deadpool and Wolverine. I think they're making appearances at some point. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:46:53] But I think more so is it's Gambit because it is Channing Tatum's Gambit from Deadpool and Wolverine that is going to be in Doomsday. So at least gives you, you get to see part of Gambit and then he gets out at the end. Uh, you've got Dr. Strange and, uh, in the multiverse of madness, Thunderbolts and the Fantastic Four first steps.
[00:47:19] So you've got 14 movies and one show and that one show is only two seasons. Before Jason puts in his two cents, I agree with most of that with the exception of brand brave new world. I would replace that with a winter soldier in the Falcon. Brave new. Oh, okay. Yeah. Which is so bad. And, and the show would bridge the gap more. So you're adding to it. I agree.
[00:47:49] That is a good one. Replacing. So same amount, but replacing. I do agree with that. I liked that one better. I did not see brave new world, but the question is though, is what happened in brave new world that is going to tie directly into doomsday. These are movies that they're specifically saying tie directly into doomsday. This is this. So this is like Disney or Marvel.
[00:48:19] This is Marvel saying out to say, Hey, watch these movies. Correct. Pretty much. In order to like, it's your quote unquote homework in order to be. Yes. If you are going to see doomsday in the theaters day of, or whatever, if you want to prepare for it and understand, really understand everything they are saying, watch this list to see all the tie-ins from what I'm interpreting.
[00:48:49] I have not seen black Panther will come forever, but I'm, you know, from the trailer though, we know, you know where it takes place and, you know, with, with Syria and everything. So, you know, it's, but not only that, it's like no more, no more. No more is the villain essentially, but he's also in doomsday. Yeah. It's not a doomsday at this point, you know, like this is ridiculous. No, this is ridiculous. I feel like how much is the budget?
[00:49:17] I just want to know how much is the budget to this movie? Oh, probably astronomical. Dude, honestly, like, yeah, we have so many, like superstar actors. 400 million dollars. 400 million. That's just, that's just, I feel like that's a little low compared to some of the past ones. That's just for the, that's for the production budget.
[00:49:44] They're estimating a $300 million in marketing near 700 million for expenditures. So they're, they're ballparking this thing is 1.3 to 1.5 billion is what the budget for this movie is. Just to break even. I feel like. So, so while Jason's talking, compare that to end game. I feel like end game had to blow that out of the water for budget. We'll look at it, but I will say this. So let's, let's be honest. Let's look at this, right?
[00:50:13] Which we know it's going to, but it has to do brand new day. Yeah. Box office numbers to, to even break even at this point. Break even. To just break even. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I have a feeling that's going to come close with just pure hype anyways. Is it though? Is it though? Yeah. But you could also have. You have, you have, you have to watch. Not everybody's like you. You have to watch. You have to find that. You have to know that Luffy finds the one piece in order for you to get to understand. Okay.
[00:50:43] So let's, let's look at this infinity war. The net production budget was roughly 360 to $400 million. Wow. Really? So they're working on somewhat of the same budget. No, no, no, no, no. They're not. Or 400 million. So end game was the same price. It was actually 800 million when you actually factor in everything. Like 800 million was a combined cost budget for both of them. 800 million. Okay.
[00:51:12] Well, you have to think about. So they have the ante. They, they adjusted for, I mean, I, that, but for that budget, I would say adjusted for like all the. It's not. No, not inflation. I wasn't saying inflation. Star power. Yeah, exactly. For, for the production, the amount of star power they have. I can understand that budget now, but that's still, that's crazy. That's, that's huge. Yeah.
[00:51:38] Especially for, for a studio to, to back. I mean, that's a huge thing for a studio to back a movie. Like clearly they know it's going to make money, but when you're getting into that realm, like we already know it's going to be successful, but now how successful that's a dangerous game to play. But, uh, uh, you know, I'm obviously going to see it, but. I, I know a lot of people. I know a lot of people are going to see it.
[00:52:07] I know a lot of people are going to see it, but in the back of my mind, I hope this shit bombs. Because. You're ridiculous. No, because. Hold on here. This is ridiculous. This is ridiculous. Look at, I have to, in order for me to understand anything. But why does. No, not, not understanding if you, if you want to further understand. Yeah. They've already got six more years worth of stuff already planned. That there's things here. That's not even out yet.
[00:52:38] Right? No, everything on this list is out. Everything is. It's just saying if you, if you want to further understand it, watch this show and prepare for doomsday. Doomsday is. You're just no fun. You're just no fun. You just. No, I have. Sir, it's taken me two weeks in order to watch six movies. That's, that's, that's pushing it. That's literally me falling asleep. That's a little bit. During the middle of a movie.
[00:53:07] To watch the movie again when I wake up. It takes you two weeks to watch six movies, sir. It's, it's, it's quite phenomenal because of how stupid the fast series has become. And I'm just genuinely like, what the hell is going on? And it's pulled you in. That's why. That's why. That's what the telenovela does. It pulls you in and now you're in. I want to know what stupid thing happens. Yeah. And you want to know what happens next. Cause anything, anything could happen.
[00:53:37] Anything else could happen. Right here. Here. I have to know backstory for everybody and their mom. And all the people who die, all the people who don't die. All the people who get replaced. All the people who are recasted. Like. Not necessarily. You get the gist of it with the infinity war and end game. Yeah. I think so. Yeah. I think this list is just a suggestion to like, yeah. If you want to. So. This is even like, like, like, I don't even know if this is chronological.
[00:54:08] No, no, no. Once it's just to get you prepared for like, because I'm guessing because there's so many characters. And I think a lot of people aren't going to, or even younger people aren't even going to know like some of the X-Men people. Like, Oh, who's this guy? Like, that's what I mean. That's why I think they're suggesting it. I think you can do without Captain America. I think you can do without the original. For the first Avengers, yeah. They could go without it.
[00:54:35] I think you can do without the first Avengers because a lot of that stuff was covered in infinity war and end game. Right? Agreed. Yeah. I feel like it. I feel like it's necessary to enhance the meaning of infinity war and end game. Okay. How many of these are movies? 14 of the 15. 14. You be quiet, Mr. Fuddy Daddy. The only show in there is Loki and that's two seasons.
[00:55:03] What I see this as is like, oh, okay. If you want something fun to prepare for end game, you know, before it's going to debut, watch this, you know, before it comes out and stuff like that. It's just something for a fun list. I think you need an X2 out of the two of them. X2 would be the one I would say. Yeah.
[00:55:28] Because we don't know if Alan Cumming is in Doomsday or not as Nightcrawler. He is. He is. They put out his costume at D23. Yeah. So in which case is, and yes, you need to watch X or X to X men. Not so much because a lot of that's covered with X to. Yeah, that's true. What if this is also my question? What if somebody just raw dogs it, watches none of this and just go straight into it?
[00:55:57] I think they're going to be lost as fuck. And if it's a good movie, then they'll just enjoy it. Yeah. So let's take it in two parts. I think it's the Russo brothers. A good movie doesn't always have the requirement to know everything. So I think the problem, I think where Jason's going, I might have to agree. I've been watching the fast movies. You kind of do need to know a lot of shit that happens in the fast movies. Okay. But if you watch the Chronicle of the Order, you don't have to. Do you really need to know a lot of stuff of fast cars?
[00:56:27] No, you said fast cars. It stopped being about street racing in two. Let's be honest. Other than Tokyo Drift, right? I'm going to say three. Yeah. It's still street racing. I mean, you saw it. There is a storyline that goes alongside the whole thing. But, you know, so I would. So I'm curious how no way home is going to play. You can't just watch like seven out of nowhere. You know, you can't.
[00:56:56] So I'm curious about no way home because Toby's not supposed to be there until secret wars. Supposedly. Supposedly. That's the rumor. Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, remember, it's like they're supposed to be like tied in together. So like they once again, him and Hugh Jackman could be making like a quick cameo that leads into secret wars or something.
[00:57:24] I just I just feel like a multiverse of menace and no way home. I'm trying to at least expand into the whole multiverse thing in order to prepare for how Victor Von Doom is becoming Victor Von Doom. Right. You got to know these by the time you get to Doomsday. God dang. I'll be quiet. Um, Deadpool and Wolverine.
[00:57:52] That's that's kind of obvious why you want to watch that. And just a fun watch because it's an awesome movie. It's just because it's great. It's just like the original X-Men. Especially when they're fighting in the minivan. What happened in the original X-Men that you have to know? It's not. It's who they are. I don't know at all.
[00:58:13] I really think it's really based on the characters to get to know them, but also to create that feeling of like of of their to get that familiarity on some of those characters, especially Ian McKellen is as Magneto or Patrick Stewart, because I believe I feel that we are losing them for good. I think they're done. So like, hey, prepare for it a long time ago. Right.
[00:58:42] But that's what I mean, what they're talking about to prepare for it, because there's so many characters. How are you going to care for all of them and in this one movie? So like, if you want to get to know them a little bit more, this is the list. Hey, watch these movies and prepare for Endgame. I mean, it is a little bit of. Yeah.
[00:59:07] Maybe I shot the foot a little bit because you won't see anybody but Magneto and Xavier in the doomsday. And plus, you're having the whole thing reset with the new cast afterwards. So I mean, this is a send. So basically, this is what it's a send off. Yeah, this is what we thought Deadpool and Wolverine was. It was a send off for Wolverine. It was a send off for Blade, Elektra and Gambit.
[00:59:38] And the other and the rest of the Fox movies in his way. But this is like kind of the final. This is not this is the final send off. But like, this is also giving everyone there like the fan favorite costumes and like, yeah, those are the fan fit like go and watch the original X-Men. So go back and watch the original X-Men and know what we put up with for costuming. Yeah. For those movies. And everyone.
[01:00:08] For some reason, Hollywood thought. For some reason, Hollywood thought straight black leather was what we wanted to see our superheroes in. It was everywhere. Black leather was like the thing. The only one out of the whole crew that looked like they were out of the comics, right? Is you've got Wolverine before he donned the black suit, right? Where he was just Logan, right? Mm hmm.
[01:00:38] Old man Logan, you know, out in the wilderness. But Storm, right? Because Storm's got the black outfit in the comics. Yeah. Was it? You know, other than that, though? No, it was. But I think we might be getting some sort of like. A rendition of that in the in the new. Give me the. Give me the silver. Give me that silver suit for Storm. Like. Oh, the white one. Yeah. The white and silver. Yeah. Yeah. I mean. Yeah, we'll see.
[01:01:09] We'll see what they come up with for like a modern look. But we're surprised. We're surprised. Famke Jensen is not back for it. No, she's pretty much gone off off rails and had been bashing the Russo brothers and Marvel for supposedly not including her. You know, so. We know like Kelsey Grammer is supposed to be back, which.
[01:01:39] With some of the with some of the Hasbro figures, he's looking pretty cool, which that would be with his look. So that's the one that they didn't include on this list is the Marvels. Because. The Marvels. Why? Because. Is it the Marvels or is it. It's. Why not? It's because. Why not? Why not just. The Marvels for that for that one end credit scene. Like. No. No. I would say. Just watch.
[01:02:09] Just look up the end credit scene then. Yeah. Other than that. I mean, that could be an interesting idea instead of every single one of those movies. Just watch every single end credit scene of every movie. You cut your shot. Why not just. You cut your watch time down to like two hours total. There you go. Not even. Yeah. So. I would say. But there you go.
[01:02:35] I think it's about like if you want to, you know, care a bit more and like understand more about the characters that are you're going to lose and that are going to be in this movie. Watch this. Watch this list. That's what I'm getting from it. It's not all like cut and dry. No, I don't need to. I still remember a lot of the movies. A lot of these movies.
[01:03:00] He's going to have watched all 56 plus whatever that in order. And by the time he's done, it's December. I haven't. By the time, by the time you get through all this and you remember and you know what's going on with Marvel, love if you would have found the one piece. No. I mean, I feel like this is not that hard. So like we're literally four months from it today as of recording. So you could do one movie a week, essentially.
[01:03:32] But isn't. And that's fun. I didn't be ready. Endgame though is being re-released in the theaters. So you need to go see that one in the theaters. You have to watch the new one. See, that's the one thing I think I'll do. New one game is a retcon endgame. Because they added more footage to it. Yeah. I don't care. I'll go see it. Switch out the whole plot. So on this list, right? It's coming out in September. Is it September for? Yeah. September.
[01:04:02] Okay. September is going to be endgame. So that still plays in line with one movie a week. So if you do it, if you do it in the order of this list, endgame is six. So six weeks from now, you can watch five movies and then watch endgame and then continue to watch. And still having fun. I feel like one movie a week is reasonable. It's called fun.
[01:04:23] I still need to watch Wakanda Forever, Captain America Brave New World, and I need to watch the last half of Thunderbolts still. Thunderbolts is fun. It's okay. It's great movie. I would say it was a mediocre one. It's on the list, man. It's on the list. You gotta watch it. I honestly, my personal opinion on Thunderbolts is that it's worse than Batman versus Superman.
[01:04:55] Because I equate it to... That's not a bad argument. I mean, we all know how Batman versus Superman was like, you know, Mary? So like... Oh, the Martha debacle. Yeah. And this one goes down to, oh, you just need a hug. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's kind of true. So I would say this, like if I'm watching this right now. That is true.
[01:05:22] For me, Thunderbolts is more from what I've seen of Thunderbolts so far. Thunderbolts is still a little bit more pertinent to Spider-Man Brand New Day. Even not. No, I would say Black Widow was more pertinent to a brand new day than Thunderbolts. That's true Black Widow is... Yeah. Yeah. How come Black Widow's not there? Didn't they like have to push Black Widow because nobody knew Black Widow? Well, because they left out Civil War. I mean, that's gonna be a big thing.
[01:05:52] You gotta watch Civil War and then you gotta... Have to watch Civil War. You gotta watch Thor, then Thor 2, then Thor 3, you know, so you know all the Avengers. Just keep throwing them out there. And just wait though. Same song. When they come out with Secret Wars, it's gonna be a bigger list because you're gonna have to include all of the Spider-Man movies. Yeah, see. I'm just watching Infinity War and Endgame. That's all I'm watching. To prepare for it. That's all I care about. Is the plan for Secret Wars to have Garfield in it?
[01:06:22] Or no? Once again, I think he's keeping his mouth shut, but I think he may be showing up in the movie, in one of the movies. Yeah. Honestly, he's very good about not talking about that stuff. Like, I don't know. He's not Tom Holland. You guys will hear the same. Like, how much is that gonna hurt on the heart strings?
[01:06:46] Like, if you watch No Way Home and then get to Secret Wars and Peter 2 and Peter 3 come in and don't know Peter 1. Oh man. No, they'll know Peter 1. How? But they should because they're from a different world. Because he did it to everybody that wasn't supposed to know that he was Spider-Man. But in that world. But they already went to movies all the multiverse.
[01:07:18] Because otherwise they wouldn't have gone to war in the first place. Oh, I have to rewatch that. In the whole multiverse. I might have to rewatch that. That would be fun to rewatch because I want to know about that. Did I just out marvel Jerry? Did I just out marvel Jerry? That's not possible. That's not possible. It was a detail in the movie, but yeah, possibly. But I might want to rewatch that then. That'd be fun. That'd be cool. What am I feeding into the machine? Yeah.
[01:07:46] Like they just like. And that would. That would. I think. It's amazing. To answer your question Theo, that would tug at the heart strings. Nope. Here it is. If they didn't know him. Yeah, that would suck. Doctor Strange's final spell in No Way Home only affected the memory of people living within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is Earth 616. Okay, so within that world. Okay. Because Toby and Andrew's Peter Parker's. It's the whole thing. It's all the universes within that multiverse.
[01:08:15] Because especially with, especially since he does the spell with the riffs in time and the multiverse open in the scene. No, so it is. They're not supposed to know him. We're going to have to, I'm going to have to go back and rewatch No Way Home now. See? And actually see what it is. Rewatch Emity. Just because it's going to be fun to see it. Start back from one, Jerry. Start back from one. You know what? Maybe I will. I love the Hall of Moon. Just to prepare. Maybe I want to. I am watching, currently watching Spider-Man 3. See? Awesome.
[01:08:44] Have fun with that. All the Marvel movies. Incredible Hulk. You know? With the... Hey, I miss Ed Norton. That'd be cool if you made a cameo. Lou Ferrigno. You got to get that Lou Ferrigno one too. You know? Okay, bring them all on. Bring them all on. That'd be fun. That'd be fun. With a capital F. It stopped a lot once it just kept going. Once they kept going, I was like, yo, like, slow your old Marvel.
[01:09:13] They did not need to keep going. They didn't just end point. Let it simmer. Let it chill. Let it... Let people relax and enjoy. I just want to get... I just want to see... No, they doubled down. They tripled down. They quadrupled down. They phase 55. Execute order 66. The worst thing about it is I don't... Like, I agree with him. But he's just so annoying. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like... I understand from a business standpoint why they did that.
[01:09:42] Because right after Endgame was really when Disney Plus launched. Mm-hmm. And I mean... Well, and it was COVID. If you're going to entice people to get into Disney Plus, you're going to do some more Marvel on it. But again, the other problem was that it was COVID. So they were pivoting on shelling out as much content as they could, which was their problem. Which, once again, as I said, I agree with Jason.
[01:10:10] I think during that whole multiverse second phase and like Disney Plus shows, I think they shelled out way too much and they needed to take their time with the projects. And also, I think also in deciding what projects they went with. Because I think they greenlit a bunch of stuff like, okay, that sounds great. That's for this demographic. Well, next one. Okay, I think this one's for that demographic. Perfect. This one's all demographic. Great. Greenlit.
[01:10:40] Yeah, I think that was the big problem with it, which is why I think they're a little bit more cautious now. Which because at D23 and at Comic-Con, they really only announced three, four movies within the next three years, Marvel did. So, you know, they did, they did learn. They're asking for that. Right. And they did learn from their mistake.
[01:11:08] It's just, I think they're still dealing with the aftermath of COVID and all of the content that they put out. There is still a stockpile of stuff. Which the reason why we're feeling like it's stockpiled is because of the aftermath of that, which if they took their time, we would have just enough. Yeah, cut and dry. Yeah. It needs to be clean cut. Restart.
[01:11:36] Give it a couple years break. Don't need to make another movie two months after you release Doomsday. You know, no, no teaser trailer for anything. Just give it some time to settle. Like, otherwise people are still going to burn out. That's why I haven't watched it. I've watched maybe one Marvel movie ever since Endgame. Wasn't that, was that Spider-Man? No, break. What was the, what's the time difference between a brand new day and the previous Marvel movie?
[01:12:07] I feel like it's a couple years. What in Thunderbolts? I haven't watched. I haven't watched. Yeah, Thunderbolts and Brand New Day. I want to say like a year. The last one that I saw was Deadpool Wolverine because it's just. Oh, okay. Deadpool. Hilarious. Hilarious. Hilarious. Because of how like fourth wall he gets, you know, you don't have to know anything because he will tell you it. It's about a year. Well, they say so.
[01:12:36] Thunderbolts from a timeline perspective. Thunderbolts takes place right around 2027. No, I just mean releasing movies since we were on the topic of break. Oh, like when they were released. Oh, I was from a store. I thought you were talking from a story. Not from a story. You're still talking. You're still talking about about a year, though, between Thunderbolts and Brand New Day in terms of timeline. Well, technically, no.
[01:13:08] Okay. Brand New Day takes place in. Yeah. Brand New Day takes place in 28. Okay. Because I mean, I just, I guess I didn't pay close enough attention when Thunderbolts was taking advantage because we have that four year time. Uh, Brand New Day. Thunderbolts is 2025 is when it released in theaters. Okay. Hmm. So. Alrighty.
[01:13:34] Uh, real quick around since we're a little over, but Jerry, what you been playing? Uh, what have I been playing? Oh, um, I started, uh, another run of cyberpunk and obviously halo with Matt. Um, and here and there, uh, Indiana Jones, but I've really, uh, I've mainly been focusing on, uh, cyberpunk. I think I'm going to be playing that until Onimusha and Wolverine come out.
[01:14:04] Cause I'm really, they're just, it's really just fillers until those games come out. I can't wait. Are you, are you a little, you'd out? You're a little tired of your queue of video games? A little bit. Yeah. Is that why you're replaying games? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I, I finished, uh, uh, uh, uh, quite a few, like a couple games, you know, now I, yeah, I kind of want to go to something familiar. Gotcha.
[01:14:31] And, uh, and also just, just because I'm, I'm overall just kind of like, uh, uh, angsty and, and, um, feeling a little impatient. Like I really can't, I can't wait for Onimusha and Wolverine. So I'm really eager for something new. Okay. For the new games. And then, uh, what have I, I've been, uh, caught up on. I'm just going to give you a little bit more shit of that on that stuff though. Uh huh.
[01:14:59] Because technically if you were playing games on your queue, those would count as new games rather than replaying games in preparation of new games. Sure. But, but the games that I finished were new games. Okay. Yeah. I'm just saying, but I'm, yeah, it's a comfort thing, but, um, let's see. And I am, oh yeah.
[01:15:25] And I am, uh, currently almost done with the show paradise on Hulu. Uh, I'm on the second season. It's, it's really, it's getting really good. Uh, need to finish that. And then, uh, I've just been, uh, from there, I've just been watching, um, some older movies here and there. I, I started wonder woman just because like, it's, I, it's been a while since. Cause yeah, it's just been a while since like, I've seen it. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:15:55] Just one. But, uh, we don't talk about Chris Pine is cool. Robin White was up. Right. Right. The second wonder woman movie is, uh, we don't talk about 84. No, I was talking about justice league. Oh, is, is the, is the second movie. Oh, I mean, everyone's like, I watch justice league every once in a while. The, the, uh, uh, complete version or the Snyder. Yeah. The Snyder cut.
[01:16:25] And, uh, you know, I've also watched it in the black and white. It's cool, but you know, no matter what it's, they're the same movies. They have the same problems. I haven't watched justice league since the Snyder cut came out. Same. I only watched it the one. They're still fun. And you know, it's still, it's still fun to see a momoa as Aquaman. I think he did. I think out of that whole thing. Oh, he was a great walk Aquaman. Yeah.
[01:16:50] I think he was the one that kind of, I, I definitely think he brought Aquaman to a, a kind of a new phase and more, more into the light. He wasn't everybody's bench until he did that same mentality on the character on other characters in his career. I mean, that's what the biggest thing was being the same thing repeated with his acting style. That's what killed. He that's the man for me.
[01:17:20] That's the thing he essentially like, that's why I feel like he is in the proper role. Like, and why he loves that role as Lobo. Um, I was going to say he's essentially playing Lobo in every one of those roles. I mean, that's why I feel like he's at the proper world now. And yeah, I totally agree. Theo, but, um, I mean, it's nothing wrong with being a one trick pony, but I mean, he is in my book, a one trick pony with his acting career.
[01:17:50] Uh, I, I just feel that, um, I've seen a few things that I think could challenge that where, um, which would be both of his shows, the chief of war and, uh, see. Um, so that being said, I want to, but yeah, go ahead. Jason's let's get Jason's opinion on Jason Momoa. Once he gets to that part of, uh, the family. Oh yeah. In fast. Oh my God. Yeah. He's in it bro. What a spoiler, man. Jesus Christ.
[01:18:20] And you get to find out. He's in the trailers. He's known as one of the villains. He plays into the, the, the, the, the television. Do you think I watched these trailers? No, I, I'm like barely getting into this franchise. And the only, like I said, the only reason why you keep watching it is just how stupid it gets. Like it's worse. It's a telenovela. It's great. It's just, it's just, it's just, it's just what the hell. But yeah, dude, just enjoy it. Like I said, just try and have fun and just enjoy the ride. All right. Deal.
[01:18:49] Cause the rides only a quarter mile of the time. It's certainly something to turn your brain off to. That's for sure. Uh, yeah, that's right. I get it. I get it. You're ridiculous. You're ridiculous. Um, some more than you playing. I'm playing. I did. Um, start a couple decks with magic arena with the Holly. Hobbit release. Oh, sweet.
[01:19:19] Dude. I put some of the elves into my, my elf deck. I, I, I built a new elf deck. Uh, mess with that. Uh, also built a new plane, uh, super friends deck. Messing with that. Uh, otherwise not too much. Um, uh, my side projects with the, the Pokemon cards is, uh, switching gears
[01:19:43] to getting stuff possibly graded in preparation for when they open up value tiers again, if that ever happens. But cool. A nap, not too much. I also have been sick for the past week. So. Yeah. Are you feeling a little better from the food poisoning or? Uh, so not recovering. I went to the doctors yesterday and we're waiting to, waiting for some results and see
[01:20:13] how that goes, but still feeling the effects and everything, but. Jason. Jason. Usu Musume? Uh, yeah. You know, it's my usual lunchtime. Mahjong. Musume. Doing 15 minute breaks. Uh, right on. Um, so it's been kind of stagnant a little bit. You get to rename your horses. You get to rename your characters. No, unfortunately you don't. I was hoping you'd name one Jason Momoa just because of our topic.
[01:20:41] It's, it's so, I play it so casually now, you know, like obviously you get better at it and when you, it's one of those where you have to like build your stable, like to continuously power up your people and stuff like that. That's a huge gotcha game. If not, if not that, but you know, uh, like the guys have been joking this whole week. Um, all I've been doing when I'm awake is trying to like, I'm at the last boss of
[01:21:10] love nine souls. It's. Oh, nice. It's really tough. You know, it brings me back to Sakura again, because like getting the PTSDs a little bit a little bit of a PTSD from it. A little bit of the dude. This game is cheating moments, you know, vibes. Um, but no, it's like, um, there's three phases to the boss. I'm on phase two. I get to phase two.
[01:21:40] I should say consistently. So. Okay. That's good. Slow and steady, slow and steady. Um, and yeah, uh, aside from that, just been watching all the fast and the furious movies, uh, chronologically. So, uh, so awesome. And we are currently on. So does that mean you started with four? Currently on furious seven. Nice. Okay. If you did the chronologies, I mean, you started with four. Mm. Four is not first. Number one.
[01:22:10] Uh, I think we did it last time. It's one. Then two. Mm-hmm. You skip Tokyo drift. It goes to. Tokyo drift. You go to four. Four, five. And five. Four, five. Then, then, then, then Tokyo drift. Then Tokyo drift. Then six. Then six and seven. And then, no, yeah, it was like, but yeah, like you just, you skip Tokyo drift pretty much until they actually go to Tokyo.
[01:22:40] Like till Han goes to Tokyo. Uh. Okay. But yeah, so like, it's just a ridiculous amount of what the hell is going on. People be dying when they come back to life. People get shot and they come back and Brian O'Connor doesn't know if he wants to be a cop or not a cop or a criminal. Then he's a cop. Then he's an FBI agent. Then he's a criminal again.
[01:23:09] You know, as well as just a coin flip. That's so great. That's so great. Coin flips. And lo and behold, Lenny is alive. And you're like, what the hell? What's her funeral? I don't know whose body is that. So whose bodies that got, who got buried? That's crazy. It just fake buried somebody like that's nuts. Yeah. It's not like, it's just been stupid. Like cars be, but you can't, you can't look away on fire.
[01:23:38] Like the, the, there's the run, the longest runway in the world of the universe. That's like a, like a literal four mile runway because they keep doing all this stupid shit. And they're drifting. Just wait. Giant ass vaults. Oh my God. It's so ridiculous, man. Dude. I saw, I did. I sent that. I sent that tick tock to you where it was. Somebody was like, there's no way they did this. Cause they're using like a big old jackhammer machine. They kind of get a, a vault out of a wall. Oh yeah.
[01:24:08] It's like, bro, like so much stupidness and you're just like, what the hell's going on? And then you haven't gone to Dubai yet. Have you? The rock? No, that should be. No, no, I think that, I think that's in seven. I don't, cause you haven't finished seven. Oh no. That's eight. Yeah. He hasn't gone to Dubai. Oh man. Yeah. The rock has been such a focal point in how ridiculous things are. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:24:37] Hey, make sure that that's a case. Make sure you watch Hobbs and Shaw. Yeah. Hobbs and Shaw. That's another good one. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you finished six, right? You finished six. So you at least saw the end of six where rock says, uh, um, what, what is it? Uh, oh yeah. Cause, uh, Ramone says, uh, hide your baby oil. Rock says, oh yeah.
[01:25:08] Hide your big ass forehead. Yeah. That was ad lib. That was improv. Yeah. I love that. Yeah. So like one, two, yeah. I'm fast and furious fast five, fast six. I'm on faster furious seven right now on seven. Okay. So there's one, two, three, four, five, five more, uh, five more films for me to go. Awesome dude.
[01:25:37] Yeah. Enjoy. Yeah. And supposedly the release date for 11 is March of 28. Mm-hmm. Cause there, uh, it was just announced today that they're supposed to start filming in December. Oh, cool. Okay. Yeah. Uh, Vin Diesel was on the, quote unquote red carpet. If Paul Walker is alive, I swear to God I'm done. I swear to God I'm done. If he is alive. Well then. If he is alive. Okay.
[01:26:06] If that, if that happens, we officially live in the matrix and everything is not real. I'm going to hide because Jerry's face pretty much saying the same damn thing. Um, like I swear to God, like Jay, if he is literally. Jay you're in for it, dude. Hey, this guy, this guy, they are, I can't wait for him to finish it. Oh my God. I seriously can't wait for him to finish it. Give me like two more weeks. Give me like two more weeks. Give me like two more weeks.
[01:26:34] Like the next that once he finishes the saga, what the current saga, like when we start the show, he's just going to be like this. Like, Oh my God. Yep. What did I watch? I got to talk about this. Like I had to talk about it. Yeah. I feel like as soon as he gets to 10 and experiences John Cena. I texted Jerry in the middle of one of them.
[01:27:02] And I was like, this is the most stupid shit that I cannot stop watching. Like, I always, I always joke with people. It's like watching a plane. Like nosedive right to that train. This is exactly what's happening. Hold on. Every fricking minute. But you'd like can't look away and it's captivating. He's talking about the dumbest shit, right? Wait until nine. Oh my God. Oh, bro. And 10. Yeah.
[01:27:32] I mean like. Nine was the most ridiculous. Oh, but nine was the most. Yeah, that's right. That's when they, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yes. Oh, bro. Yeah. I can't wait. I can't wait. No, that's not what I'm talking about. There's another scene. We don't want to ruin it for Jason. We don't, we don't want to ruin it for Jason because he's talking about how absurd things are getting. Well, this nine was where it got really. Oh, bro. It doesn't. You think it stops there? No, no, no. Um.
[01:28:02] Just wait. Yeah. Just wait. You think the air of the sea are the only thing that they're, they got in their repertoire? Would you just shush? Just get there, bro. Let's him. Oh yeah. Get there. Anyway. I can't wait. Should I hijack this back off? Yes. Yes. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going off the rails.
[01:28:29] So, uh, playing, um, Halo, of course with Jerry. Um, I was playing black flag and is now on a backseat at the moment. Uh, because I decided to, I think I talked about it last week, but I've started another turn to plan. Yeah. I'm going for the trophies.
[01:28:56] Um, all I need is to finish the game on ultimate and I will have a hundred percent trophy list for OG Spider-Man. Um, and then I've got everything for miles Morales and then I just need to play through another new game plus on Spider-Man two to get that full hundred percent trophy list. Um, I will say that mass effect has been, you, you talk about you doing cyberpunk mass effect has been staring at me going.
[01:29:25] And it's time for you to play me again. It's been a minute. Yeah. And I'm not far off from the platinum trophies on one, two and three. I got just, I don't know why, but the way that you, you explain that just put the shining in my head with the girls like come play with us. Pretty much. I mean, it's right there. You know, the sad part is I've never seen the shining and I know that, but I mean, like, I don't know.
[01:29:55] Because it's in, because it's already player one reference as well. Is it the whole, come play with us? Yeah. Yes. Well, yeah. Because when, um, walks around the corner, the two girls are right there. Yeah. Oh, okay. Although I do, I do recommend, uh, to watch the actual, uh, the original shining and a doctor sleep. I heard that was bigger. It was good. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:30:22] Anyways, um, I did start up, uh, puzzle quest three, just cause I wanted to play a match three. It's kind of just needing something just to mindlessly kind of just chill, you know? Um, right on. Other than that movie wise, uh, like I said, I'm up through, I'm almost done with my full Tobey McGuire rewatch. I'm sorry. Oh, the Spider-Man? Yes. Um, cool.
[01:30:52] Understandably why it's taking you so long. So three, I've already passed the scene where Jerry started in the role. Um, but do one does not say children. The one, one does not hold up. Well, like, yeah, for CGI and everything too, I still think is the best story out of the three of them.
[01:31:18] Um, with one, the story, I think Doc Ock is better. Like story wise, villain wise, everything. I think Doc Bach is better, but three is just a flaming. Like everything about it. The only thing I like about it is Thomas Hayden Church is Sandman. Like even in three, he was, he was good for it. Um, and in no way home. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Clint Marco.
[01:31:48] Um, what else have I watched? I don't know. I've just been watching just movies fall asleep on, on another rewatch of Top Gun Maverick. I use that as my, uh, movie to watch during my stationary bike workout. Okay. I'll do music. I always fall asleep to a legend of hay or legend of hay too. Yeah. Hmm. So on that, it's not much.
[01:32:17] It's been, it's been a busy week, you know, just getting back in the routine of work and whatnot. And so, um, yeah, I need to start read. I think I'm going to start my telenovela journey though. On Sunday. I will kick it off. I will kick it off with the OG in the theater. Which does a great right now. I was looking at the showing for seven o'clock on Sunday and there's not a single ticket bought.
[01:32:44] I'm like, Hmm, when that'd be something nobody, nobody buys a ticket yet. And I can just get the whole theater to myself again. Cause that was great for back. Yes. That was great for back. Oh, that'd be awesome. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. That's right. I forgot that that happened to you for back to the future. Yep. So anyways, so yeah, this episode ran a little bit long. We had a lot of talk about tonight, but I want to thank everybody who, uh, didn't listen
[01:33:13] to the episode or is going to catch it on the video side on, on YouTube when released this weekend. But, uh, if you like a church drops, follow on the platform you are enjoying us on, um, you know, head over to crashing game night.com. Check out our past guests. Um, and just with it guys, just everything is super crazy going on right now in the world. Just please be excellent to each other. That's right. Everyone is Matt said, it's crazy out there.
[01:33:41] So let's just, uh, we're going to keep it short and sweet. Um, once again, we want to send out that same message. Let's just try to do and be better. Um, everyone's got their opinions. Let's just try to, you know, be open-minded. Let's just try and hear everyone, everyone out. Try and lend a hand when we, uh, see an opportunity to help someone and let's just be safe out there. All right, everyone. Thank you. Jay, Jay, Jay, Jay rock.
[01:34:11] We missed you, bro. You made me do your outro and you know, I made it my own. And so I know you would hate that, but it's okay. You're here. We're ready. But we're ready for you. Uh, we did run long. We did run way, way long. It's okay. Mm-hmm. Because that's how Marvel movies work, you know? Oh my God. You're so stupid. It's okay. I hate you. It's fine. It's fine.
[01:34:41] It's like how fast and furious movie works too. Just doesn't end. You think it's going to end and it doesn't end. Uh, you know, I know you guys love me for always talking about that shit about Marvel. Cause you know, it's, it's me. It's me. Are you having me up until end game? You had to end game.
[01:35:05] And then you just said not to, um, anyways, you know, it is the end of summer. Hopefully all your kids are back in school. They're all safe. They're all cool. They're all chill. Still it's hot as heck outside. So just be careful. You know, wear some block. Stay hydrated. Um, don't get heat stroke. I almost got heat stroke a few days ago. Uh, okay. So it's. Hydrate. So thing just stay hydrated. Stay cool.
[01:35:35] If you start feeling a little woozy, feel a little bit, you know, not too well, just let someone know. Yep. Uh, because it's a very serious thing out there. Anyways, since it was missed last time, you guys are gonna hear it now in full effect. My man, my man, D. Walski sent us out like you do. Well, you out there. Thank you for watching. Thanks for listening. So next time. TTFN. That's happening.
[01:36:05] Good night, everybody. So much more.
